No matter where you live, this is the high-end bike shop for you. I live on the East Coast and I've bought two bike frames from them; a BMC Roadmachine, and just recently a Time AdH(GORGEOUS). The owner is knowledgeable and more than fair. Ryan sold me the new frame and cockpit (Deda, also gorgeous). He checked the tire clearance with my tires and wheels, and best of all, he dialed in my fit, from looking at my current bike, and looked at older custom bike fit specs. It's the best fit, most fun road bike I've ever had, and I've had some good ones! I highly recommend using this shop, for their knowledge, selection, and most importantly they make you feel like a valued customer!!

The parts are cheap price wise, the quality is up to par and the knowledge is helpful. These people truly care about safety and stability when deciding to ride bikes throughout the valley. This place is pretty rad, but it's definitely a know-before-you-go kind of establishment…read more What it is not: A polished, sleek bike retailer A bike repair shop A place to dump old bikes A place to sell old bikes What it is: A place that does sell refurbished bikes A place where you can come and work on your bike A place where you can donate your old bike, tools, or equipment A place where you can volunteer and help the community There are some very very passionate people here who love bikes, and it's really a whole community that they've built. They take bikes and refurbish them to sell, but are so much more with their community programs. If you want to rent a bench, you can get all the tools you'll need to do your own fix. They have pros there who can guide you through some basic things, but it's not a bike repair shop, so don't expect to drop it off and have something fixed; you're here to learn and work together. It looks like they're booking shopping appointments online now, and when I dropped by they were open but the doors are locked. It's a teeny retail space and they are still exercising great caution about COVID. You can peruse what's available and as is the case with any store like this, it's very hit or miss with styles and sizes, but that's half the fun.

Service meets expertise!…read more I'm a mountain biker that just got into road biking - I walked in here with about 2 dozen questions and in need of lots of help (and honestly lots of hand holding!); Cottonwood Cyclery absolutely exceeded my expectations. The lady that helped me fully dedicated over 20 minutes to walking around the shop helping me make a list of all the equipment, clothing, tools, and supplies I'll need for my newly purchased road bike. She also spoke with me at length about cleaning and riding techniques, as well as tips and tricks from her own cycling experience. She was also able to recommend a third party to properly fit my bike to me, which she uses herself. I didn't look around at the new bikes too much, but I did notice they had a selection of mountain bikes, e-bikes, and road bikes. They've got tools, bags, shoes, cleaners and lubricants, CO2 tire inflators, tubes, and everything else you'd ever need. They were out of a few clothing items due to shortages from high demand during COVID, but they were still able to provide recommendations about what to look for. That undivided attention was so valuable and helpful - I couldn't have asked for anything more than the experience I had here. This isn't the closest bike shop to me, but it is 100% worth the drive. AND I'd like to mention they are open an hour later than most other bike shops, which is so appreciated and convenient when I rushing to get some shopping done after my work day. I will undoubtedly be back for equipment, advice, and maybe a little moral support! Thank you, CC!

They made a fresh cut on the bottom to help with water uptake and loaded the tree into the car for us. Years ago we also bought a stand from them; instead of the usual pins, it has a single post in the middle of the well. Since their trees have holes drilled in the bottom, you just place the tree onto the post and you're done! It's so much easier than trying to twist the pins to hold the tree in place. Highly recommend the stand. They're also offering a special coupon for $20 off at Root'd across the street with a tree purchase!
