I didn't love the feeling of the bike we selected and the staff immediately offered an alternative based on my feedback that felt much better for me. We rode around the park and brought the bikes back for drop off and paid the bill. All said and done within an hour and a half. Such a convenient option and the staff were all so nice and helpful! You could tell they really cared about their customers' experience.

This was our first time on an electric bike and we all enjoyed the easy-to-use assist features that supplemented our manual option. CONS - Jim's chain fell off twice, with a nice guy helping to fix it the first time. After the second time, he used the electric feature to bring the bike back to the barn. +/- - Erin scored a discount on our bikes and Jim's issue was credited. However, the credit card entries took awhile to sort themselves out. PROS - Jim's issue aside, our bikes were top quality, easy to use, and fun to ride. - Bee's Knees staff were very helpful and responsive to our beginner questions and the above bike chain issue. - Stunning scenery and well marked bike paths. - Vancouver takes their bikes very seriously including the practice that traffic laws apply to all. BOTTOM LINE - I'd happily use Bee's Knees again for a bike rental.

Can return it anytime before their closing hours. Free helmets, bike locks, and baskets if needed. Staff are friendly and let you try different bikes to find the right fit. Bikes are well maintained, comfortable, and ride smoothly. We've rented from them multiple times and keep coming back. If you're renting a bike in the area, I'd recommend these guys over the shops right at the entrance--better prices and great service!

Their prices are a bit higher than others around there, but I think the quality of their bikes make up for it. The experience of renting the bike was smooth as you only need to provide a credit card on file before you rent and are only charged after you return the bikes. This removes the hassle of calculating how long you would want to rent the bikes for. They also provide helmets so you don't need to bring anything with you. I'll be sure to stop by there again before summer ends for sure :)

My husband had sent them an email about a week or 2 in advance to make sure they would have the bikes we wanted at the day and time we were aiming to do our ride, and they assured us we'd be all set. When we came to pick up our bikes, there happened to be some very loud tree trimming going on right across the street from the bike shop, so it was hard to hear anyone. The staff were such good sports about it, they even taped signs to the front of their shirts apologizing for the noise (which wasn't even their fault!). Big thank you to Sofia who gave stellar customer service when we returned our bikes. We did a 3-hr bike rental on my husband's birthday and had the best day riding along the Seawall in Stanley Park, over Burrard Bridge, and into Kitsilano for lunch, and back! We'll definitely be renting bikes from them again, plus Vancouver has the best and safest bike lanes anywhere!

This was the first one we checked out. The shop owner gave us a discounted kids rate. We took 2 bikes out for 1.5 hour and they only charged us $21. The bikes worked great and were comfortable. As with most rental places, you will need to leave some form of identification with them as a security deposit. Miguel also had the smart idea of snapping a photo of the lock combination. After you select a bike selecting and helmet fitting, you are on your way. Three hours with bike, a lock, and helmet totaled around $25 CAD. The bike itself was old, but well-maintained and comfortable for the designated routes. Business hours go till 10pm, but they also have the option of dropping off the bike after hours elsewhere if need be. Solid and convenient spot to stop by for your ride.
