Walked outside to grab our food from the food truck. My husband was standing 5 ft from the table I set my beer on while i went to get the food. And the curly red head told me it was unattended so she took it and dumped it. Refused to pour me another one even though it was more than half full and my husband was near. Everyone else was very pleasant but beware if you leave anything unattended and the curly red head is there. She will take it and be rude about it because it's "policy". read more

Made a special trip allllll the way out here. We've been hearing about it and talking about it long enough to expend a Sunday on the travels. Boy golly was it worth it. Their (brewing) setup is exceedingly small, but they somehow manage to get nine brews on their board out of it. They don't do full pints, so be prepared for that. The seating is inside and outside the barn. The setting was lovely. We got the full flight of all nine and they were all wonderful. The couple running the place were also friendly and informative. I don't think it's SUPPOSED to be a part of the Goathouse Brewing experience, but they have goats and donkeys out back and I pet all of them. Can't wait to go back. read more

We had fun here today but were disappointed to see that employees were not following the state mandate to wear masks when face to face with clients ordering beer, when pouring and serving beer, or when at the tables bussing. They also did mot enforce clients to wear masks when wandering around or in line or otherwise not eating or drinking. They didn't enforce social distancing either with people too close in line, and cutting between people in line and walking between tables. It is hard to relax and enjoy when you don't feel safe. We were lucky to have a table at the edge and were able to keep our distance for the most part, so we stayed, but we won't be back unless this changes. Beer was pretty good and the goats were awesome! Tables clean and in good repair, and a fair amount of shade. Quiet but not stiff atmosphere. Friendly employees. read more

I absolutely love everything about this place. I bring my family & friends all the time. I'd recommend it to anyone. The goats, the atmosphere, and the owners are absolutely the best. GoatHouse is Lincoln's best kept secret, but hopefully not a secret for long. Goathouse is by far the coolest down to earth brewery I've been to. The tasting area and brewing room are one and the same in a barn with tables inside and out. The brew-master and family are great hosts and generously share their start-up experience as well as their beer/brewing wisdom. The beer itself is fantastic and lures me back once or twice a month. My current favorites (in order) the Belgian Blonde, Honeyveizen, and the Darkside (+9%!). The best part is the price $6 for a 20oz sampler. read more

Beer is good, area is nice. Service wasn't bad...but...when they tell you no 4 packs. But you can buy a growler for $30 ...and then say $42 when you check out cause its $10 for the growler...not happy. A typical 4 pack is $12-16. So $10 on top for a growler...$30 makes sense. I always love this place I think it's because I love the goats as well and the beer is good. I'm always here with good people and everyone seems to be having a good time. It seems family friendly, I think the family's love it because Kids get to look through the fence and see the goats jump around and the parents or adults get to have a beer or so. This is a cute place but the they nickel and dime you wherever they can. They charge $3 for a water bottle and if you want to sample a beer before committing to it, you have to pay for your sample. There are better breweries in the area, that don't nickel and dime.. read more

The beers here are amazing!! We had the give a little, get a little Hazy IPA (8.8). It was so good I was disappointed the ABV was so high because I dare not have a second. We also had the Daddy something DIpa. Same call. We moved onto the east coast IPA called Jeremys something, at a modest 6.5. Also super good. The goats are a good diversion for families, it's very dog friendly. All in all a major thumbs up! read more

This is by far the coolest brewery in Sacramento area. They grow their own hops and as many ingredients they can here on their farm! If you aren't a huge hop fan this is a great place for you but they still do have a fantastic IPA for those who need it like me! The concept of a brewery on a farm where you get to see and feed goats is really cool but the service and beer choice are low quality First of all: The service was terrible repeatedly the whole time. When we first got there we ordered two beers they got one wrong and didn't tell us till we were in line for the bathroom and said it was 'all our fault the wrong beer was poured' even though they were the ones pouring it??? And didn't even try to fix the problem and give us the right beer we ordered originally. Then my mom wanted to order a beer and asked the old dude with baldish-grey hair what the most popular or his recommendation is and he said nope-depends what beer you like. But didn't go on to assist her in any way and ends up walking away?? Know the beers at least if you're not gonna provide descriptions. She got one sample and when another beer tender asked if we've been helped he started explaining 'they're just trying a bunch of beers' she had one 1oz sample... and if he were to explain the beer she wouldn't have to be sampling them.. As we were leaving a baby was crying and another worker shouted 'no crying allowed!' Yet they claim to be kid friendly.. Need to train these employees on service and beer knowledge cause it was terrible and ruined the whole expierence! I went there today with my kids and they were so excited to see the animals. Unfortunately we got turned around at the parking lot because there wasn't enough parking. After a 45 minute drive we couldn't even enter. There was about 6 cars coming in right behind me. They are losing a lot of business due to not having enough parking. And the ironic thing is they have tons of property??? Better call ahead to see if there is parking that day before making the long trek out there. read more

I've been wanting to check out this place forever and finally came here on a nice sunny weekend afternoon! We arrived at noon and initially was told to come back as they were at capacity, a couple of vehicles in front of us turned back but luckily a vehicle was leaving and we were allowed to enter the parking lot. Entrance off Wise Rd can not be missed. They have a huge sign out there! Drive slow, its dirt and gravel from the main road up to the parking lot. Kids and dogs are welcomed! Nice indoor with several patio table and bench. Outside patio is the spot to hang out. A lot of picnic tables outside. Unfortunately its first come first serve...they do not accept reservations as I was told by the owner. Tailgaters 77 food truck was there on the day we went, they sold Filipino food. Goats for the kids to look and feed. Nice place for families to spend an afternoon at. As for the beers...it was alright. I was disappointed their stout Darkside was on the lighter side. read more

Goat House Brewing is located in rural Placer County. Great place to have a Craft beer and for kids to pet and feed the goats. What's unique about Goat House Brewing is they grow hops here. The beers are smooth with a good variety of Saison. IPA and Stouts. They don't serve food here so bring a lunch or maybe a pizza to accompany your beer. The staff is attentive and accommodating. I tried two beers here, the Saison and the IPA. Both were good but the IPA was better. Good aroma and equal taste. But after all, I am an IPA fan. I dont understand reviews saying this place is kid friendly. We went and two of my kids who are teenagers were along. We were greeted by an employee while parking, before we even exited our car, and read a riot act about keeping kids from running around, screaming, climbing trees, and other nonsense. Unfortunately, this place has potential to be a really nice family friendly brewery, but falls short. To start this off, my family and friends have been 5-6x over the last 2 years. I liked it so much the 1st 2 times I went I got a shirt..... however things have since changed. We've actually said multiple times that that visit would be the last but it's such a cool atmosphere that we always want to give it another try. Honestly, beer is just "ok"(to me) I do enjoy honey baby, but I mostly go for the kids to see the goats and to socialize with friends outside in a nice outdoor setting. The female owner is unapproachable, does not greet people at all or smile. During my last visit I watched her scold dozens of parents including myself. I was told that while my kids were being good they still needed to be with me when by the goats. TOTALLY UNDERSTANDABLE. I get that... kids(even the well behaved ones) can get a little testy with the animals. We were lucky enough to score a table closest to the goats and the kids were just as stoked as the parents because that meant we didn't have to leave the table for them to feed/look at the goats. Well, the kids grew tired of playing with the goats so they decided to play amongst themselves. We brought food, a blanket, and toys to keep them occupied. The kids were playing next to a bush and the owner comes up to us telling me that the kids need to be 2 arms length from me at all times. Now, I'm a VERY strict mom and I definitely do not allow my kids to run a muck in public, so this surprised me because I was watching my kids and they were being good. I felt like I spent the entire time telling kids to not be kids at a "family friendly" establishment. Crazy. Anyway- all other staff is friendly and amazing so kudos to them. My suggestion: since in the owners words "they are desperately trying to keep this a family friendly brewery" put a play structure on your property that way kids can be kids and parents can chill and not feel stressed out that they are going to get scolded. We ended up down the street at hillenbrand and saw 2 other families from goat house there, so that says something. However I will say.... 1 of those families had a kid on a Strider at GoatHouse which I thought was totally inappropriate for a brewery so I'm with the owner if they told them to kick rocks. Would love to go again if they made some minor adjustments to their verbal policy or added a play structure. Hopefully this will be taken into serious consideration as I think you have a very cool and unique concept and I genuinely want to see your company be successful. read more

What a fun place! We went solely for the food truck they had, Cousins Maine Lobster, since they aren't real close to us. We went for the lobster, but will definitely be back for the beer. I loved the 'Low Hanging 'Cots', it's a bit salty, which I'd never experienced in beer before, but it was so refreshing I came home with a growler. The farm is fun for littles as well as the big people. Service was faster and friendlier than other breweries we've been to. Hubby got a wheat beer, honey something or other, and even I enjoyed it. My husband loves breweries so needless to say I had tried a few. By far this is one of my favs but I love animals so really I went specifically for the goats. They even have a lovable Donkey named Rory who will take rubs anytime you give them. I think we spent more on the goat food which you can get from the bartender while getting your brew. They have a nice outdoors area with lots of tables right near the goat pen which is a great entertainment. My husband said he had the best porter here. I was very happy with my visit here with my husband and 2 young kids. We got some great gyros from the food truck and headed into the bar for some drinks. The bar is pretty awesome with a laid back and open lay out. I loved the music which was classic rock and alternative rock. Behind the bar is an open area with plenty of large picnic tables and shade. The best part was the goats! My kids had lots of fun watching them and feeding them (food is for sale at the bar). We've visited here several times since moving to Lincoln, and every visit has been very enjoyable! The workers are friendly and knowledgeable, the patrons are chill, and the goats are fun to watch (esp the babies!). We like the fact that it's in a restored barn out in the middle of farm country-a nice change from the urban, industrial vibe of many other breweries. And their beers are delicious!
