So much fun! Bring a small blanket and gloves because it does get cold. I think one hour is enough time to enjoy this ride. We were a bit sore in the hips after a few hours. The car vibrates a lot but so worth the ride!

So much fun! Don't forget to bring gloves and a blanket. Easy to drive and the GPS tour was surprisingly interesting and I learned some new stuff (even being from the city) I definitely will be doing this again

I know the city well as a Bay Area native but I've always wanted to play tourist. This was a great and somewhat cheesy way to do it! The locals WILL laugh at you, but it's all in good fun. My non-local friend and I did a three hour tour around the city, costing us each around $100. We rented the 2-seater and were on our way, going around 25 MPH on city streets. We were able to hit a lot of the most iconic spots - Fisherman's Wharf, Ghiradelli Square, Fort Mason, Golden Gate Bridge, Legion of Honor, Land's End, Ocean Beach, Golden Gate Park, Palace of Fine Arts, Lombard Street, and more. You can get out of the car and take some photos at cool spots! The 2-seater GoCar is technically a motorcycle, so be aware that it is loud. I had a bit of a learning curve at the beginning because I've never ridden a motorcycle before, but the staff explain it to you and have you watch a video beforehand. The hardest thing is that you cannot reverse so you physically have to pull the GoCar backwards. There is also a GPS system with a planned route and a physical map provided. I had no issues with the GPS, but if one did, you can use your phone. If that also doesn't work, SF is basically a grid and it should be easy to get back on track if you're a bit lost. This is an exciting way to explore the city, the staff is helpful, and you'll definitely make memories!

My first time riding in a Go cart buggy & in San Francisco it was so much fun would definitely do it again. The staff was super friendly & went through all the rules & directions. The go cart was well maintained did not have any mechanical issues. Can't wait to do it again!!

What a fun experience to take parents on or anyone without a license! The driver does need one in order to drive any of their vehicles, but it's nice to be able to have a passenger for the ride. This is a self-guided tour, driving their GoCar vehicles. This means that throughout the ride, the tablet on the car will continuously and simultaneously give you directions and a tour of the route you're on. They have two models of GoCars: the regular go cars (up to 30 mph) and the e-sport one (electric - goes up to 80 mph, though I only went up to 45 on the GG bridge). Getting checked in took long but the young male worker that was there was super patient and nice with everyone that came in. Before riding, you have to watch a safety video and then the workers also go over the specifics of the vehicle. I rode on the e-sports model, so I could ride over the GG bridge. There were two main things I was worried about - getting lost and being too cold (this was during May). However, those worries were thankfully dispelled because the tour really babies the directions. It'll mention a sharp turn that's needed or a stop sign way ahead of time. So, I never got lost. My other worry was it would be very cold despite having a front-shield panel blocking the wind from the front. However, I was very relieved to discover the car had seat warmers for both driver and passenger seats, and also handlebar warmers! It was vastly needed as it was very windy throughout most of the ride, but the war made the experience more enjoyable and the wind/cold more bearable. Overall, an incredibly exciting and enjoyable activity albeit expensive!

This was such a fun experience! A must do while visiting San Fran! A great way to tour and explore the city! I was the driver in my car and I have to admit I was a little nervous at first just because San Fran roads are built different lol lots of steep roads (up and down) so I wasn't sure and I definitely don't want to hit someone or get hit while trying to enjoy this experience but it was definitely worth the "chance" I took being the driver and I faced my fears! It felt so good! It was also a beautiful day and we're able to hit Lombard street (all the zig zags), get a view of the Golden Gate Bridge and just venture out! I wish we had more time with the GoCar. There is a navigation on the each car so as long as your following the tour it will talk and give you the history of places and landmarks as you are driving the course; if you get off course or go the wrong way it will stop talking until you get back on track and then it will start talking again. I mean such a cool experience, I definitely want to go again and the experience this with my husband because when we went we didn't do this experience and I think he would enjoy it just as much as I did. They have mainly the 2 seaters for you and another person. They do have one that's similar to like an suv but I believe the man said they only have 1-2 of those and those are always the first to be taken. Highly recommended while visiting!!!

My best friend & I decided to be tourist for a day in the city. We are Bay Area natives and we've been to the city many times. So we decided to put a little twist on this adventure. We went on Go Cars & drove over the Golden Gate Bridge, we stopped to take pictures and stopped in Sausalito for some seafood. We had a blast driving around in the Go Car, people passing would wave at us or take our pictures. The staff were very helpful & friendly. Jose set us up with our car and he explained how to navigate the tour and how to use the car. He even showed us multiple times how to use things and I appreciated that because I was nervous to drive. I got on and began to remember all the things Jose highlighted in his directions and I wasn't nervous anymore. I loved this experience and definitely will book again!

We rented these super fun cars for Memorial Day in San Francisco. Check it was a little chaotic, they needed a few more people help but staff was friendly and helpful. Most importantly they have clean restrooms to use before you head out. You watch a video and then get a hands on tutorial before setting off. Our first car died as soon as and we pulled out, I think the battery was dead but they go us going right away with another one. We selected the three hour tour but honestly it's not enough time to stop more than once or twice. We had to cut our tour short and were still 15 mins late coming back. You need the whole day to get through the traffic of the city and enjoy all the sights. Also bring a cushion for your bum, the seats get a little hard after three hours of putting around. Very friendly staff and fabulous routes preprogrammed into the cars, just book the whole day or prepare to pay late fees.

Whenever I have family visiting or friends I highly recommend this excursion in SF. Fun and safe way to explore and just relax. Pro tip: I'd recommend getting a city pass from gocitypass.com it's literally half off for two people for an hour so instead of paying $85 it's about $60-80 for TWO people. Make sure to listen to the video carefully because it's easy to get lost and go over time. Note, they have a GPS screen and audio available where an automated voice talks you through the history of spots you drive by. IMPORTANT: make sure when you return you ask them to walk you through billing/time stamps because every single time I've gone I've almost gotten scammed. They say the clock won't start until you get off the property. Example, I left the lot at 12:01pm I know this because I set an hour timer on my phone and I returned it with a minute to spare. When I asked the worker to check my receipt they said it'll get emailed to me and any additional charges would get added to my card. I mentioned no, I'd like to see my time stamp and when he checked it said I had the car since 11:40am which was actually when I signed the waiver in line. I had to explain to them that the hour shouldn't count for when I check into GoCars. Without debate, he changed it in their system but if I had not asked, I would've gotten charged an additional $50!!!! This also happened the last time I came. I don't mind coming back because I make sure to note it down and take record for myself but they should seriously look into changing their system!!!!

I have been wanting to do this for so long and it is not in all locations. We used a Go City Pass so we had to call and make reservations. We called on the day of and we were able to make a reservation. The Go City pass only gives you 30 minutes. If you do 60 minutes it's about $48 more. They make you watch a safety instructional video and then they show you how to drive. The car has a GPS but it is delayed so it is not the best. The paper map is somewhat easy to read. The 30 minute ride will lead you to Lombard Street, but the traffic alone made our experience 60 minutes so we had to pay the additional $48 but it was worth it, because we had so much fun. Other drivers root for you and cheer you on. It can go pretty fast. It is as if you are driving a motorcycle as the car has no pedals.

And the tour shop does have a small bathroom which is nice to use before you leave. Barry was a great tour guide, he loved taking pictures of everyone and knows a lot about San Francisco. We got out of the bus twice to take pictures on the way to Muir Woods. They were great picture stops and we head nice weather to pose in front of Golden Gate Bridge. Even though I've been to SF 5 times I still loved this tour. I've been to Sausalito before and could have skipped that, there is not much to do in that town besides eat something and look at the bay. Muir Woods is the real gem. We had only 1 hour and 15 min to explore on our own. I was alone so I walked fast and think I got to see more than most in that time. I would have liked more time there. You can add on Alcatraz and the bus drops you off there, or he can drop you at fisherman's wharf or back at the tour shop. Highly suggest this tour company! Very friendly, on time and knowledgeable!

Pros: + The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. + Once you get on the island and go through the 5 minute orientation from the NPS ranger, you're free to roam about. + The audio-guided tour is actually REALLY good. It was my first time and I thought it would be cheesy but it was engrossing and informative. + Restrooms were very clean and not crowded (at least not the guy's restroom). + There are some truly AMAZING views of the bay. Bring a travel-safe camera. Neutral: ~ There's restrictions on food and drink (only bottled water is allowed in the majority of the park). So plan ahead. ~ San Francisco traffic is real and kinda sucks. Plan ahead for delays. ~ A good portion of the park is outdoors (which isn't a negative but means that it's impacted by the weather). We did the "night tour" which wasn't really at nighttime since the sun didn't go down until around 8:30pm and we got on the boat to go there at 6:30pm. The boat promptly left from the pier at 6:30pm so make sure you are in line before then! When we got off the boat at the island, we had to walk up some hills to get up to the entrance, but they offer a lift for those with disabilities. It was an audio tour and it was easy to follow along while going through the prison. The only downside is it felt really crowded and hard to move around at times, and I kept feeling like I was in people's way. The tour was shorter than I expected. There's also a museum that explains when Native Americans lived on the island, but we didn't have time to go through it because we wanted to catch the boat and go back. If you're really interested in Alcatrez Island and learning about prisons, I'd recommend it, but if not, I don't think it's worth the price. It seems super popular though. The highlight of the entire tour was seeing all the birds on the island and the beautiful gardens throughout. The views are also great while on the boat.
