Inside where they give you instructions and a video. There is a bathroom!

Took hubby here for Father's Day and he had a blast! We rented the tandem electric "GoCars". Mainly because one reviewer said you don't need helmets for those and this was true. What you need to know: Parking/location: finding it was pretty easy. The storefront is on 3918 Main Street. You enter on the side. There is no lot for parking, but there is plenty of close public parking in the area. It's near old town San Diego. I don't think we paid more than $10 for 2 hours, but if you get there early enough you may even find free street parking. Facility: There is a bathroom inside. They give you a short tutorial then a video to watch, then they do a live demo once you get in the cars. Trust me, someone like me needed it all! The cars: The car was so fun and felt safe. Those things go super fast, I think the guy said up to 80mpr. It's pretty easy to use and steers like a motorcycle or a quad. We went across the Coronado bridge going just as fast as some cars! GPS: There is a GPS activated voice tour that tells you great facts as you drive around. If you get little off track you'll know because it will stop talking. Mine went off for a bit and I had to pull over to reset it. The tour path: The path takes you from old town which can be a bit warm, to Coronado which can be a bit cool. Bring a light jacket, we had to stop and put our jackets on. The tour path is pretty safe even though you drive with cars and follow the same rules, people tend to be pretty respectful of them while you're driving. There was an area with some druggies but it was only one street and we passed it fairly quickly. You can also get off the GoCar if you want to but follow the same parking rules that you would for a car. The cost was not cheap but I'd do it again! We did opt for the $34 insurance b/c your car insurance doesn't cover it from what we were told.

Tight fit but not bad unless you're big and tall.

We really enjoyed our GoCar tour. The little car was fun and the self guided GPS audio information about landmarks were great and in sync with the location! Kelvin was super friendly and fun. He was very busy but took care of getting us all signed in, watching safety video and on our way quickly. We did the two hour tour and spent to much time waiting in car line at Balboa Park to just get in it was Presidents' Day so very busy. I would avoid that area next time. Make sure you wear a helmet and also have a jacket with you. The cars are a bit noisy and they drive a lot like a motorcycle with all hand controls.

It was such a great weekend date idea, we got lost in our own city and found some many new restaurants. We did the one hour tour which was great as a little getaway from your day to day routine. Our host was amazing, didn't catch his name but he was amazing!

Had a blast! I recommend the electric option. You won't have to wear a helmet and it's cooler looking and super fun to drive!!. The guy that helped us out was awesome! He was super helpful and very patient. I wish I got his name but he's a handsome black guy in his 30's maybe? And how, if you go here it'll be worth it and definitely don't forget to tip the guy! We'll be back!!

It would be better and safer in a less trafficky area. I actually stress hitting one of them when I drive in Old Town.

I put off writing a review because I was so traumatized by my experience with this tour. It was hard enough subjecting my precious earthly vessel to all the physical dangers, but I left with emotional damage as well- I'm talking, anger, tears, and nightmares for weeks! For one thing, these things are low, low, LOW to the ground. We almost got hit twice. In fact, they're so low that a truck pulled up next to us and I swear we could have driven under him. My friend chose the Point Loma drive- thank goodness because we did it on a Friday afternoon (read: in traffic!). The other option being, downtown. Can you imagine how difficult it was, sharing lanes with SUVs, sedans, and all other types of other vehicles?! Overall, I do not recommend this!

Absolutely incredible staff! Very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The tour was interesting and fun. The car was a blast to drive around town. Directions were easy to follow. Highly recommend! We will definitely do it again.

Our day spent in our Little Bumblebee was the best day ever!

We had an amazing adventure with GoCar and will definitely be back again! We went all the way with a full day with the Vanderhall and had the time of our life cruising all over San Diego, Ocean Beach, Pt. Loma and more! The staff is super helpful and very friendly! We are down to earth people and so is the GoCar staff! The GPS tours are fantastic! All the little tid bits of info that is included in the directions is not only informative but also entertaining. We will definitely be back and highly recommend GoCar of Old Town!

Excellent time enjoying and exploring San Diego. The staff was terrific. They were friendly and helpful and treated us really well. Kelvin, Billy, and Billy's brother in law (sorry didn't get his name) were top notch. We're planning on going to Vegas soon and will definitely check out their other location. I'll also be back to this location again soon Looking for something fun and interesting to do, book a tour with these wonderful guys PS Billy suggested a restaurant for us to try and his recommendation was fantastic . Keep up the great work guys. 5 stats

Did this as a team building event for work and it was a fun adventure. It's crazy that you are driving this vehicle on the street of downtown San Diego on the same roads as normal cars. It actually drives pretty fast and is easy to drive once you get the hang of it. Don't worry they make you watch a safety and instructional video. Was definitely super fun and would love to do it again with family and friends.

Went to San Diego on Valentine's Day and spent the next couple days there during the week to avoid the busyness of the weekend. This was one of the activities my husband and I did while in town and it was honestly one of the most fun and unique things I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing! I felt safe and comfortable in the GoCar, and the navigation was really clear on where to go. I learned a lot about San Diego as well, and felt like we had plenty of time during our three hours with the GoCar to explore. We got off a couple times and still were able to finish everything by the time we had to return the GoCar. The customer service was great even though we had to wait a little bit. Overall I would totally recommend for people to try this out!

This was an excellent and fun way to see San Diego! The narrated tour was great and informative as well as the timing it kept to maximize the experience. I highly recommend it on your visit.

One of the many vehicle choices for the tours.

Kelvin was the representative working with us to get us checked in and through the vehicle operation and safety video. Great energy, was very knowledgeable about the units, and the city, and added a few tips to avoid some of the holiday closures so you could have a seamless adventure

The guides were friendly, entertaining, and shared interesting historical facts along the way while keeping the ride engaging with humor. The hop-on, hop-off option made it easy to explore at our own pace, and the trolleys ran frequently enough that we didn't have to wait long. We especially enjoyed starting in Old Town and visiting places like Balboa Park, the Gaslamp Quarter, and Seaport Village. Overall, it's a great value and a convenient way to experience San Diego without worrying about parking or traffic. I would definitely recommend it to visitors and even locals looking for a fun day out.

We started about 9:30 AM, and our first Guide, NAMED JACK. He had been a disaster/guide for some 10 Years. He was very, very good. When we walked on, there were two orange cones on the two front seats. We had waited to sit in the front seat!!! As we boarded, JACK just sat on the benches, not noticing my walker!!! I finally got the front seat, but my partner stayed seated behind me. GUIDE JACK took us as far as Seaport Village, but interesting enough, at the stop before, he had us all share our stories. NICE TOUCH. We wanted bagels at SPILL THE BEANS, but at 10 AM they were OUT OF BAGELS. Ridiculous. I don't remember the name of the Driver/Guide, who took us from Seaport Village to Coronado. In Coronado, we walked to the Hotel del Coronado. I first used the RR, beautiful white marble. I then took the metal elevator in the lobby to the Second Floor, and went out the balcony. We, My Partner and I, met up again the INTERIOR COURTYARD. We left the hotel to walk to GELATO PARADISO on Orange Avenue. On the way there, we saw the famous L FRANK BAUM HOUSE, the writer of the Wizard of Oz. It is a yellow house. UNFORTUNATELY, they did not know how to use the COUPON in the OT Trolley Brochure. Other than that, the GELATO WAS DELICIOUS!!! I had Raspberry and Lemon. We took the OT Trolley back to Old Town. We had one last Driver/Guide, NAMED LUIS. He was very thorough, but very matter of fact. We returned to OLD TOWN, 2 Hours after BEGINNING!!!

Whether you're a local or visiting San Diego this is a really fun activity on the weekend with yummy drinks and good vibes. Originally we were booked for a 10:30am tour that goes out to watch the sea lions out on the bay, unfortunately not enough people booked that one so it was cancelled. Even though our original plan was cancelled Tiki Time Tours went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience and not only complimentary upgraded our tickets to a more expensive tour, they also gave our party a free round of drinks for the inconvenience! I think this speaks a lot about a company; anyone can be happy with customer service when everything goes according to plan, but the most important times to step up is when plans get cancelled/changed and that's exactly what they did for us! Instead of the sea lion tour we ended up doing the Tiki Live! tour at 3pm. This tour is about 2 hours and while you're out on the water you mingle with everyone else and play games that can win prizes for yourself, your party or the whole boat! The games were fun, interactive and silly. At some points we got close enough to shore and made people on land be a part of our games! Donny was our tiki tour master and he was really funny during the whole tour. In between games he just let the music play so we could enjoy the atmosphere and drinks. My entire group left with nothing but great things to say about the whole experience. My friend even won a free tour for another time so we will definitely be returning for more tiki fun.

RANDOM SUNDAY -…read moreStunning Views - Drinks + shots - Stunning views - chances to win money and prizes My friends randomly saw this boat and said we should do it for fun. Tickets were around $47 per person for a 2hr water tour around the Bay in a boat decorated in tiki decor. For tourist this tour is great with a ton of fun information about San Diego and stunning views in the water. Minimum 8 people on the boat or there may be cancellation of the tour. PAY ATTENTION TO DETAILS. The guide will have some friendly trivia for a chance to win good cash prices, free drinks, gift cards, etc I think that was pretty fun to include in while getting a tour. If you are sensitive to getting seasick, I would recommend a Dramamine beforehand. Although the boat was spacious, it still felt the wakes from the other boats and you can go rocking. In addition there were slow times of moving and turning. Or you can just chuck down a few drinks and feel numb to it all! They have a Tiki Bar with a drink menu (no food) to purchase from and if you bring snacks to eat - you can't eat it on the boat. Drinks were good but their "house" made shots were pretty good! We had a couple rounds of those while on tour - paid round by a passenger or a free shot in the house by the staff. The awkward but not so awkward would be mingling with other folks on the boat that you don't know. One of my friends kept interjecting with another party and while they seem to not mind I could tell they were being polite but if it were me I'd probs be annoyed if someone kept interjecting while I'm having a good time with my friends. Although we all got along and occasionally shared cheers with shots. Luckily the boat was near empty with just a few of us to have some space to do your thing. Overall, nice little 2hr time in the water. Would highly recommend the later session to catch the sunset. Until the next review....
