I grew up in Lindenhurst and we are so happy they chose to expand ! I was here to patronize just for that fact, but I stopped in for lunch with my mom and for 12$ and up they have complete lunches with salad and dessert and EVERYTHING was delicious this was some of the best chicken parmigiana I have ever had ! And the ravioli in pink sauce with shrimp was also fantastic and all off the lunch menu ! So there is a lot that went wrong at this restaurant. I was attending a family gathering and we had a reservation for our party which could've been easily about 80 people. There was going to be five courses and everything was planned out ahead of time, the party was supposed to run from 5:30 to 9:30 and honestly it was just a full on disaster. On top of our party the restaurant also took a 60th birthday party and allowed walk in diners to sit down to eat which was a major mistake being as short staffed as they were and management really should've done a better job at knowing what capacity their staff could handle. We did not get our entrées until 9 PM after showing up at 5:30 and when the person running the party went over and talk to the manager she said that basically if we don't like it we could leave, there was no sincerity of making everybody wait hours to get entrées and at this point half the party had already left and she expected her to pay for all the plates that weren't eaten. The manager herself really was a piece of work with massive attitude while drinking wine and vaping on the job on the restaurant floor. I would basically tell anybody to avoid eating here the food honestly wasn't that great because everything we were served was cold. I ordered salmon for my entree which I waited like everyone else in our party 3 1/2 hours for and it was pathetic. Sad cold tiny piece of salmon definitely NOT worth the wait. The servers to there credit were great and timely I know it's not there fault. This 100% on management, if you know that Saturdays are going to be a busy day and you're already going to be shortstaffed you should not of taken a party of almost 80 people on top of another party while taking walk-in diners it's just absolutely ridiculous and then blaming us like it's our fault. Once again I would avoid this place there are better Italian restaurants you can go to. read more

My family took me out for my birthday dinner. The food was incredible! Once they seat you , they give you olives , bruschetta and hot bread with butter. We ordered fried Calamari for the appetizer. So crispy and delish, for the entree's my husband and I ordered Risotto Alla Pescatore so yummy. My son ordered Gnocchi Al Pesto. I'm not a fan of pesto but let me tell you this was out of this world. The sauce looked like a cream sauce with pesto omg! My other son is a picky eater, so he only had Mozzarella sticks. Went in with a group the other night. The restaurant was offering "pasta specials" complete with appetizer, entree,dessert, coffee. Of course ordering anything other than what was part of the specials was extra. Although some of the food was good, the soup did not have beans in it, the Caesar salad only had oil on it, the mussels appetizer was cold with congealed butter. The restaurant wasn't that busy that this should have happened. My 2nd glass of wine also mysteriously disappeared before I finished it and I was told they checked the cameras and I did drink it, but I know I didn't. They charged me for it anyway. This is by far the worst restaurant I have ever been too on Long Island.We went to this run down dump after a few drinks at Sidelines,Big mistake.I should have walked out when I got hit with a nasty smell as I walked in the door.I expected a quality Italian meal, not something I could have thrown together from canned ingredients.The sauce tasted like spaghetti-O'S sauce..It was pale and watery.The cannoli was soured and the service was terrible.People who wrote good reviews about this place have no clue on Italian food.They also charge $5.64 for a service fee to use a credit card.I complained to the SPANISH OWNER that clearly don't belong owning an Italian restaurant.They deserved to pay us for even stepping foot in the door.I have seen cleaner restrooms at a gas station.I would never go back or send anyone there. read more

Loved this place I had my sons baptism party here over the summer 55 people party and they treated everyone with the most respect and treated my words like gospel they definitely went above and beyond I had a little difficultly in the begging with my decorations and the timing but everything has gotten done the way I wanted it they really made my sons party immaculate thank you so much read more

Bland food, vodca sauce, was simply an over thickened bland creme sauce, calamari was tough, chicken parm was tough and bland. Finally, THE STRAY TORTELLINI!!! Don't you love it when a stray pasta or string bean shows up in a dish with no place there. There was a tortellini hiding under the melted mozzerella on the chicken parm. Love this restaurant, but disappointed that they no longer will do the special menus for large gatherings. They will now only offer those menus no later to begin at 3:00pm. I went there with my family for my Mother's 70++ Birthday. We drove from New Jersey and we were happy we did. The food was outstanding and the waiter was very friendly and accommodating. The Manager came over to us and gave us a warm greeting. They had a gentlemen singer and guitar player that played some great tunes and he even kept on playing as guests got up to dance. At one point they had guests on the dance floor ranging from 8 years old to 80 years old. On October 7 my lady and I stopped here for dinner after a pleasant walk at Bayard Cutting Arboretum , and what a perfect follow up on a beautiful autumn day ! Our dinner of veal ( I believe Veal Bolognese ) for two was unreal , the fresh bread was delicious and the serving of vegetables was both well cooked and generous enough . Service exceptionally considerate (was as good as it gets , really ) and along with the roomy layout of Goccia , made for a most relaxing experience . Water is served in goblets , by the way : a big plus , as many servers nowadays tend to otherwise hold a glass by the rim . Another wonderful evening at Goccia d'Oro on Wellwood Avenue in Lindenhurst. We had a party of 28, and there was no problem working with staff to make our Christmas dinner superb! This is not the first event we've had there and it definitely won't be our last. We have never had a bad time, the food is delicious, the menu is varied, and everything is fresh. We have been to the one on Wellwood Ave more then a few time and always had a nice meal so we decided to check out the new location. Not a good decision. When we walked in there was a funny chemical smell I should have known right there to walk out. We went for the seafood fiesta special which we thought was $22pp but was not. The food was bland and not good at all. Especially for the price. We would have ate better tasting food at a diner for less then 1/2 the cost. Servers were very nice though. I want to recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a nice night out on a Saturday. We have been going to their first restaurant for years and have just tried their second one. It was lovely. The service was great and so accommodating to any changes you wanted on the menu. They had very nice music that wasn't loud and over powering so you can enjoy a conversation at your table. I have been to this restaurant many times over the years, but last night made it the last time I will ever go there again. Went there with 10 other friends and we had a reservation for a couple of days. When we go there at 6:30 they forgot to put our reservation down with the rund table we wanted.Wit no apologies they put us in the back of the restaurant and the took a hald hour or so to even bring us bread or take a drink order. 7:00 or a little after they gave us bread and water and took the drink orders. The drinlks came finally at 7:30. They finally took our orders. 8:00 nothing yet. We asked the waiter what is up an dhe said i he was sorry they over booked. 8:30 an apptizer my friend ordered finaly came out and we asked what is going on and they said dinner wil be out soon and the salds came out. Finally at 9:00 dinner came out after we asked the manager and we said we told the water we had plans and he siad rudely I can always cancel th edinner order. You would think they would have offered s some free apps or drinks but not they didn't care less. I was tempted to walk out.. we still tipped the waiter because I know its not his fault, but come on to not make up the the screw up with the reservations and then dinner coming out over 2 hours later was the last straw. We left at 9:30 and the food was cold and not even that good. They offered us a cordial drink but it was way too late.
