They are professional, have great communication, reviewed progress with me at every major milestone during installation, and built me a darned great cedar board-on-board dog-ear picket fence. The process was not without some minor bumps - I asked them to move and re-set some posts that wasn't perfectly parallel on one side of the yard (they fixed it, right then and there), and there were also some pickets where the wood started to split a couple weeks later (the foreman came out quickly and replaced all of the bad boards himself, personally). And the end-result is just amazing - all of my neighbors, and even people I don't even know, have complimented the build quality. Unquestioningly, I am absolutely impressed by the fence - it is sturdy and high quality, and is everything that I was hoping for. But what impressed me the most was the people. We had the unfortunate experience of retaining NorthIndy for a railing project. Initially, I stopped by their store early afternoon to look at some of the product. No one was in, and I waited around the open store for probably 10-15 minutes when someone drove up. He said he was the owner. Very nice initial meeting then the wheels fell off. A lack of communication, many missed installment appts for a 2-man crew who showed up knowing this was second floor and didn't have a ladder. Fortunately, I the homeowner did have one that worked. The installers said they couldn't install part of the railing, so the GC had to install them. We were told there was a mix-up on the order and the wrong railing was ordered. I imagine communication with the GC and NorthIndy was part of the problem. The GC stepped up and installed part of the railing as the NorthIndy crew said they couldn't. Finally, I gave up and just wanted them done and gone. Both the GC and I had to call many, many times to get a call back and answer. I took off work waiting for them on at least 3 occasions only to have to call them and ask where are you? There are plenty of other sources for Westbury products and I'd look for anyone but NorthIndy. I expect a less than responsive reply, without taking any responsibility for their seriously lacking customer service.

Later that day I received an email stating he did not have internet and could not send the official drawing and quote but it would cost about $9000.00 When I realized that was all he was going to send, I sent another email asking for the dimensions of my deck and a detailed estimate. Met with John from Advanced Deck & Sunroom at one of the local home shows. Things got off to a…read moregreat start....a nice design with good communication. We decided to proceed with a full Trex deck along with a Trex waterproofing product as recommended during the design process. Since completion, we have run into two issues: 1) the railings started coming part. I reached out to John and he had a crew take care of it right away. 2) approximately 12 months later we went to have the underside of the deck finished as an extension of the deck/patio only to find out that the Trex waterproofing agent that we hired John to install was not done properly. We once again reached out to John and again he dispatched a crew to look at the problem. I was told "we have encountered this before and we can fix it". The crew returned and simply nailed a bunch of 1" x 12" between the floor joist essentially smashing the waterproofing agent up against the deck boards. Well, this made the problem worse....much worse. We now have several leaks and water running towards the house and behind the siding into our home. This is where the problem comes in. John H*** has simply stopped responding. He will no longer take calls or respond to my emails. We paid over $20,000 for this deck and now I am stuck hiring another contractor and paying several thousands of dollars to fix what he and his crews did incorrectly.
