Really chill vibes in this area, so we like to make it over when we can. We arrive at the side door and, after a minute or two, one of the waiters let us know that we can sit where we want. We take a seat and wait for a waiter to come over. It was quite a while before someone came over to greet us at the table and take our drink orders, but a lady finally did show up. She took our drink order and it was a while before she brought the drinks back. Then we were finally able to order our apps and food. It took quite a while to get everything, and what we actually received wasn't quite on the same level of what we expected to see. I had the chili spaghetti and it was not great. The chili was not chili-ing. It was a weird consistency and the overall dish was kinda thick and dry, if that makes sense. I also ordered a small, thin crust pizza, and it was like a cracker with cheese and meat on top. I didn't know it was going to be quite that thin, but it wasn't the worst thing I had ever eaten or anything. It just wasn't very good-quality. Everything here seems really highly processed and pulled from bags and bins. Ordering marinara sauce took forever to get. When I ordered one more after she brought one for my son, I never got it until we were done eating and ready to pay. Mind you, she didn't stay at the table long enough for everyone at the table to say what they needed; otherwise I could've ordered mine with his. I hate to say it, but Garbo's was kind of a disappointment. It has so much potential, especially with them doing trivia upstairs and with the business being in such a cool area. I'm not sure that we will go back. The food wasn't that great and the service needs major improvement. Also, when new customers would arrive and stand at the front door, clearly having come for the first time and not knowing the process, the staff would walk right past them without saying a word (multiple times). No greeting. No "have a seat where you'd like," or anything. I ended up waving people down and letting them know that they can sit where they want so they're not just standing there awkwardly, forever waiting for the staff to greet them. Not cool guys. Lastly, the restrooms were kind of dirty, mainly the floors. I got in and out to wash my hands quickly. Overall, our visit was pretty underwhelming. Like I said, I'm not sure we will give it another try. (Insert emoji shrug here)

The crust is thin and crispy, but the pizza is heaping with yummy toppings that come out steaming hot. Every bit is perfect. The garden salad is one of my top Springfield salad choices. It's heaping with always fresh greens and healthy toppings. The taste combo is so good I copycat this salad at my own house. You can't go wrong with Garbos. I have never had a bad experience here and I am a middle-ages picky ass woman.

It was your average middle of the pack Pizza and Calzone with an average, non offensive, tasting Crust, Sauce and Cheese all perfectly cooked. While they do have a very impressive list of options and choices to choose from, way too many for me to list here on their vast Menu. I personally prefer Pizza and Calzones that is less generic with real mozzarella, like Authentic New York and Chicago Styles. So my personal hunt for a 5 Star Worthy Pizza here in Springfield Continues. Lastly, the staff working there that I spoke with...gets a big thumbs up for customer service. They were helpful, informative, competent and considerate.

Instead, this Charcoal Grill House is a small, friendly, comfortable niche that features primarily a variety of beef, lamb or chicken kebobs (Khorovats) and a range of complementary Armenian fare which is as exotic as it is flavorful. I mean, really, where else have you found authentic Armenian fare in Springfield or elsewhere? I took the advice of a previous poster on the Tomato Salad. The name says it all because it's ALL tomatoes - no lettuce, no croutons...all tomatoes. After getting over the starkness of the plate of seasoned, split cherry tomatoes, my mouth exploded with the flavorful seasonings. I later asked the kindly, generous owner about this seasoning but couldn't wrangle the ingredients out of him. It was wonderful! My wife ordered a beef dumpling dish that was similarly stark, appearing like a bowl of bare tortellini with accompanying dollops of dipping sauce. But when I sampled one, the flavor was amazing. This theme continued throughout the meal: Stark presentation but wonderfully diverse flavor. We also shared an order of meat-stuffed pastries in a phyllo dough wrap which was flaky & spectacular. I would actually classify this as an Armenian Tapas restaurant as it is perfect for two or more to order the different menu items and share them as appetizers, saving the kebobs for the main entrée. The owner brought each table a sample of Armenian fare as a bonus: a salad, dessert or something else to entice them...all on the house. This is NOT a Mediterranean restaurant as Armenia was a part of Old Mother Russia originally. However, if I had to compare it to another International cuisine, Russian or Greek would be the closest. This is an exceptionally unique restaurant to keep in your pocket for your friends, family or associates who claim they have "eaten it all".
