We were stopping at rouse's to get a mini veggie tray for our road trip. My daughter wanted pizza so we swung in. I know it's just a godfathers pizza. Nothing fancy but the service was nice the restaurant was clean ad the bathroom was clean as well. For a godfathers I had a great experience. We ordered a mini Hawaiian pizza for my daughter. They made it in a reasonable time and handed to me while it was piping hot. The mini was the perfect size my daughter loved it. This newly renovated location has been a part of the community for decades. Today, I attempted to order via the website and this location wouldn't pull up! I called and was warmly greeted and my takeout order quickly placed with an estimated timeframe. Right on time I brought my delicious, fresh pizza home! This location has really improved over the years ! You can tell they have taken the time to update this location. The staff is top tier they are so friendly and giving and they all use gloves when making the pizzas. The food comes out hot and fresh this definitely tastes like the godfather's pizza from back in the day! read more

We (husband and I) came here for a buffet lunch but considering the offering, ended up just ordering our own pizza. Their buffet consisted of 4 pizzas, but there was only 2-3 slices left of each one. There was a very small salad bar and a few breadsticks and cups of sauce. We ended up ordering a medium pepperoni with extra cheese on a golden crust. It was simply amazing. I'll definitely visit again, but not for the sad excuse of a buffet. read more

It's good pizza, but not the best and for the price I was expecting better. It's disappointing that pizza places still charge per ingredient. So if it's convenient I would say head over to Mod pizza, which IMO is a better pizza and a fixed price no matter what toppings you choose. read more

Been awhile since I have been to Godfathers. Decided to stop on the way to Mobile. Perhaps one of wife's best ideas. They kept the pizza coming fresh and hot on the buffet. I have always loved Godfathers pizza ever since I can remember. I wasn't disappointed. Especially enjoyed the taco pizza and the cherry pie dessert pizza. They also had Calzones on the buffet which were great! The place is a little archaic but...I'm here for the pizza! read more

This was probably the worst pizza we've gotten from here. Used to really enjoy it and this time it took twice as long for our online order ;which ok, short staffed, whatever, but the pizza wasn't even fully cooked! We had to put it in the oven at home. And two slices on each pizza were just covered in sauce, no toppings. Waste of money and time. read more

Many years ago Godfather's Pizza first came to Mobile and I remember going to the one located on Azalea Road between Airport Boulevard and Cottage Hill Road. Myself and my late wife loved the pizzas there and after we moved to New Orleans, we always sought out the one that was located in Metairie. Fast forward to today - My second wife was introduced to Godfather's Pizza here in Saraland and every time we come to visit my Dad, a stop there is always in order or at least a take-away pizza to satisfy her (and my cravings) for a pizza pie. So today we took the time to stop in and as we got ready to enter, a large charter bus pulled away with 30 plus young people who had just chowed down at Godfather's. To say they had been slammed was an understatement but the staff was trying to get caught up and clean up the kitchen, wash dishes, restock the salad bar and in general, catch their breath. Even though it was just past the lunch buffet time, the pizzas on it were fresh baked and I was sorely tempted rather than wait. But we decided to order a large Golden (buttery pan style pizza) Meat Pizza with my half of the pizza receiving additional ingredients (pineapple, black olives and mushrooms). Lorraine (I think that was her name), the unit manager took our order. So we grabbed the drinks and sat down to wait for our pie. Now here is where things go a bit sideways. Because of the work to get the place back in order, our ticket got misplaced and we saw several pies come out to people who came in after us. So my wife goes up to the counter and since we placed our order, one of the managers, Jaylin, had come on shift and when he went back to check on our order, he found out the cooks had totally missed it. So he comes out to explain what happened and even tells us he plans to comp us our meal and brings us a refund on what we paid! Then he tells us he will go in the back and make our pie himself which he does and he delivers it to our table with another apology. The pizza was as perfect and piping hot as you could want. Perfect crust, loaded with toppings and of course, a dose of humble pie from a guy who was not even to blame and who took it upon himself to make up for the misstep! We enjoyed our pizza and between my wife and I we had already decided to give the money back to them because there was no harm and the staff went over and beyond to make up for the miscue. So my wife goes up to the register and Jaylin comes over and she hands him the cash and tells him that he can either accept it as a tip or put it back in the register to cover the meal. So what does Jaylin do, he accepts the cash and puts it right into the register. So that is why I give them a 5 star rating. The pizza was superb and the excellent customer service from Jaylin made our day. Everybody makes mistakes - it is what you do after that mistake that either makes for a memorable customer experience or one that you wish you had never experienced. So Jaylin - you got what it takes to make a good store manager and I hope the owner of this store sees this and realizes that she has a great asset who just ensured that we had a great experience and a great meal! read more

AWFUL EXPERIENCE! Will NEVER EVER GO BACK AGAIN. I am in the food industry so I am a pretty understanding. But by far the worst service I've ever had. We are out of town an have heard good things about godfathers before but definitely won't be back or recommend to any one. We called an were told it was going to be 45 min wait for delivery. 1 hour an 15 min go by I call. They said they were about to leave. Another 30 min go by I call. They said they had just left. So an additional 20 minutes Go by. We get our food. Our pizza is wrong, it's cold, and missing all our sauces. I call up there an the manager says he will send our sauces up right away. Inexcusably poor service and inedible food. Our total was over $50 and not only was the order incorrect, the food was very poor quality, extremely greasy (even for pizza), and they charged us TWICE! They did refund the second charge. I spoke with a manager and received a brief apology with no offer to make it right. read more
