The food was on point, out of the couple times I've been here I really would recommend the Alfredo, eggplant parmesan, and the calamari. The waiters are so nice and patient, and even with big parties the food comes out fairly quick. And the vibe of the restaurant is so cute and rustic. First off they sat us in a both in a very dark corner. No lights at all. We had to use our phones to see the menu. We ordered humus for an appetizer when it arrived it was arranged very cute. But when we tasted it, it was just blah no flavor at all. It was just mashed up chickpeas with no seasoning of any kind. Ordered the Roma Basilica it was ok nothing to rave at. My dinner partner had the salmon they sad the salmon was very good but the pasta was just ok. I will say service was good. Great food! We sat outside which was lovely. It is near a hospital, so there were a few sirens during our meal. We had the calamari and spinach dip. Both were delicious. We all enjoyed the lasagna. This was our first visit for date night and it was nothing short of perfect. Our server Hannah was amazing and very attentive. Our drinks and complimentary garlic bread were never empty. We took a chance and picked a restaurant off Yelp. Boy, are we glad we did! We had such a great meal. I got the Seafood Manicotti. The shrimp were huge. My Mother-in-law got the Lasagna which was excellent. These dishes came out in their own dishes where the food was direct cooked it. Bubbling, hot and full of flavor. My daughter got the chicken parm and received two huge pieces of chicken. The waitress was so nice and included a piece of cheesecake for my daughter since it was her college graduation. I have to say. For an Italian spot I'm impressed- typically I go to fancy places that cost a ton. Nope this place is better. The bruschetta was fresh and good portion size. It felt like I was at an Italian grandmothers place-cozy, warm, and full! We got a past and chicken parm. Tried to eat it all but portions are large so you could probably share. It comes with a great salad and bread as well. The tiramisu OMG I am a tiramisu fan so I get it everywhere. This one is silk and melts in your mouth. The chicken parm, although not the most unique order is just a favorite Italian dish of mine, and it was wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed my salad with made in house Italian dressing. My fellow loved his veal cacciatore-and it was yummy. We had started our meal with the spinach dip, which was a nice size. However, we barely had eaten half and were out of the very few pita chips that accompanied the dip. There was an up charge for additional pita. We went on a Sunday lunch and there was no wait when we arrived and a wait for people as we were leaving. Food is a little oily but delicious. We had great waitress but had to get up a few times for assistance. Fresh salad was nice. I liked the balsamic dressing. I noticed that they had large to-go orders so that's an option. Great food, amazing service, but unfortunately the ambiance could be easily improved with more light. It's so dark, you can't see what you're eating! Ceiling is painted black, the lightbulbs are low wattage, and the blinds are closed. We opened the blinds, but they really need to invest in LED lightbulbs to make it more inviting. The chicken parmesan is my usual order, but the penne isn't cooked in the sauce so it's bland even with the delicious marinara sauce on top. This time I ordered the chicken parmesan sub, and it's delicious. It comes with the most amazing fries. We also ordered a lasagna, which was delicious and came with a salad. Roma cafe is a quaint little place. The place could use some updating but overall it wasn't bad. Our waitress was amazing! So sweet and attentive. The ac unit started to leak by our table and she moved us to a different one. We got mozzarella sticks and they were decent, the side salad was okay too, there was one black olive which made me laugh. When they brought the bread out and I was suspect but it was really good. Not to heavy, the flavor was strong and the bread was crispy, perfect for dipping. My sister got the chicken Alfredo and the sauce was good but the chicken was not very good. We ordered the mozzarella sticks and calamari for appetizers. Both were very good. I would say that the calamari was a little on the salty side, but the red sauce that came with them was on point. The homemade ranch with the salads were delicious as well as the homemade Italian. We ordered the seafood, manicotti, veal, cacciatore kids, spaghetti with meatball and salmon Roma. All were good. My boyfriend on the other hand, this was his first try, and he also loved it very very much !! Service: We came around 5:40 on a Saturday night, walked in and got seated! (This may not be an every night, as the restaurant filled up rather quickly after) our waiter made sure to not bug us, but our drinks were always full! Our food came out super quick. He delivered the check right after we ordered our dessert and assured us that there was no rush, but for us to take our time and enjoy. Ambiance: the entire atmosphere was great! Music was at a great volume, the booths are tall abd the structure was set up great, so it never felt like someone was worried about what was happening at your table. Our date was OUR date, that's it. We loved the simple privacy!!! The outside of the restaurant is charming, but they left the true elegance for the inside!! Beautifully setup, but not over the top. Roma Cafe is a charming little restaurant perfect for a relaxed family meal. We got to sit outside on the patio, and the string lights made for a nice atmosphere. Our waitress (I don't remember her name but she had a Pikachu mask on) was wonderful! One thing I especially enjoyed about the menu options were the different sauces, and the ability to switch them out on whatever dish you chose. I got the Eggplant Parm. The eggplant was sliced super thin, and unfortunately the edges got burnt to a crisp, but it was still tasty! The sauce stole the show for sure. The location is a bit odd (run down strip mall), but don't let that detour you! We went early on a Friday night and still had to wait 45 minutes, this place is that popular. The staff is friendly, warm and anxious to please. I ordered the Seafood Manicotti and it was divine. Big tasty Gulf shrimp, tender manicotti and the sauce, oh the sauce. I asked for a spoon! I could only eat half of the rich wonderful dish. My husband had Meat Lasagna and he was equally as pleased. Delicious, large portions of food. We were able to stretch our meals out for several meals. I got the eggplant Parm and my bf got the meat lasagna. The eggplant Parm was done really well in thin layers similar to a lasagna. Bf thought there could have been a little less mozzarella but he still enjoyed the meal. This was our first time at Roma Cafe. Sunday after church and we were lucky to get in before the rush. We ordered our food and immediately got a basketful of fresh hot garlic bread...it was awesome! My wife wanted a pizza but was on the adult menu but was on the kids. It was a personal pepperoni pizza that was cooked to perfection. My food was hot and fresh also. Our waiter was excellent whose customer service skills were five star. The atmosphere was quaint and intimate what I expected for a local business....very clean, including the restroom and plenty of staff hustling to get orders out and moving customers in and out.
