I wish I had checked Yelp reviews for Goemans before I purchased a new washer/dryer combo on Nov. 15. Unfortunately, the installers broke a pipe in the wall when tightening the connection. We called immediately to say there was water dripping and damaging the kitchen ceiling below. (The units are on the second floor.) A second installer came and tightened the connection which just made the problem worse. We've had to turn off the water to the machine and haven't been able to use it at all. Goemans offered "as a courtesy" to move the machines out of the way so a plumber could come in and fix the pipe (at our expense) and then come back to reinstall (at our expense!!!). No offer to repair the damage to our kitchen ceiling. Meanwhile, still no working washing machine. Absolutely disgraceful way to run a business! read more

We purchased a brand new refrigerator Frigidaire professional edition at a cost of $3,700, the issues started on day 1. Water filter required replacement after only a month. Water dispenser leaking water at all hours of the day. They gave us the run around as we placed calls about our concerns. This appliance should be entirely replaced but we were told it will be repaired instead. A brand new fridge in need of repairs is a joke. read more

We paid for an order of a bunch of appliances including an LG fridge more than a month ago confirming delivery for June 12. We were told to pay early to avail of discounts and assure availability!! We move into a new house on June 10. Repeatedly, my wife has been following up on the status, we were told that there was potentially a delay in the delivery of the cooking Range. Fast forward June 8, we that they are expecting delivery of the Range next day and again call to confirm (note that no mention of any other issue. We have spoken to multiple agents at this point). Today June 9, we were told to following: - No install is scheduled for June 12, according to them, there is no record that we confirmed. - The Range arrive but there is NO FRIDGE!! It will only be available in July !! No solution offered.. speak to the Manager who is not currently available !!! read more

Very frustrated with Goemans St. Catharines. Bought a Samsung french door refrigerator with an ice dispenser from them which was quite expensive. Have had nothing but problems from the beginning, and called Goemans, speaking to the manager Sharon about the constant breakdown of this fridge. She refused to do anything, would not replace it, "because they have to make money and she has to protect her job" ??? What??? Their service is disgraceful, they do not stand by the products they sell, no accountability from them at all. We needed a BBQ. Walked in Kelly helped us match our model number we were looking for. It was not in stock but arrived 2 days later at store fire pick up which was perfect. We absolutely love our Weber BBQ and the selection of BBQ's Goemans has in stock to view and measure. Update to my review. I did contact the community market manager who could not personally help me. I had to contact the customer service dept. This has been going on since then. First rep promised to get back to me in 2 to 3 business days and did not. Emailed the community market mgr again. A manager at customer service contacted a couple days later and had no idea what I had wanted. He was to investigate and get back to me. He did not. Again back to the community market mgr. Eventually got a call but the customer service manager said nothing they could do. I explained they had reached out to me so why do so if you aren't offering anything. He said he would look into it further and get back to me. You got it - again he did not. Back to the community manager. He promised to have someone call. But days later.. still no contact. Again emailed the community manager. He said something was being worked on and he would have them call. Weeks have gone by and finally got a call back. Only to be told there is nothing they can do...but if I want, I could call the store manager.?? Emailed my disappointment to the Community manager. He said nothing he could do but assured me they were still there for my appliance needs. Agree with the other reviewers. The sales reps don't listen to your needs and the company does not have any after sales care...nor do they care about their customers. They are all about getting the sale. They do not care about the customer relationship. Heed the negative reviews. I would have rated this negative stars if it were possible. Purchased high end 8 products from Goemans. 4 of them have serious issues- wall oven came damaged, dishwasher didn't work, Oven in range not working and was sold a microwave trim kit that looked sloppy and clearly didn't fit. Wall oven and dishwasher have since been repaired. 3 weeks later Range oven still isn't working. It was a long and frustrating process to get the microwave trim kit problem rectified. Goemans was quick to blame the manufacturer for issues with the broken appliances. Yes, they were repairable but it is ridiculous that after spending over $20 000.00 on appliances I am dealing with service people in and out of my house. Aside from coordinating the countless services calls for repairs, Goemans has done nothing to compensate me for these inconveniences. As for the trim kit- I was offered solutions to make it "work" better in my custom kitchen, like bending it or adding metal tape. It was only after my cabinet maker contacted the mananger a better trim kit magically appeared. A store that prides themselves on selling high end products should recognize an inferior product. Goemans zero accountability approach to these issues is unacceptable. If it's the manufacturers fault they should be advocating for compensation on my behalf. Will not be purchasing from Goemans again. Ever. read more

Purchased a range from Goemans St. Catharines. Range was delivered and put in my garage. The in-packaged the outer box but left the heavy range bolted to a large wooden pallet. Range should have been placed in the kitchen off the pallet so I could have it installed. When contacted about the delivery guys returning to in-package properly and put the appliance in my kitchen, I was offered a dolly. LOL. Great customer service. I know have to pay someone to remove the wooden pallet and bring the heavy range into my house so I can install. Very, very poor customer service. They just sell, sell and sell with little or no regard to customer service. Will never buy from this business again. Buyer beware. read more

Really poor service. I purchased a speed queen washer $1600.00. I asked for it to be installed. When it arrived the driver installed it very half heartedly when he couldnt get the pipe to join (drain pipe) he cut it off until it did, then asked if i had clamps? I said only the ones I took off the old machine, he used them then said ones broken I think it may leak!!!! and left. It leaked big time, my neighbor rushed over and put some gluey stuff all over it and it stopped the leak. I called Goemans several times asking for a new drainage pipe to be put on, in case i move house (which is possible and current) I didnt want the drain pipe to be too short in the new house. I recalled ... waited 2 weeks recalled, spoke to Chris the guy who sold it to me, he was going to get this fixed for me. I never heard back, its been 6 months or so, I recalled, goemans sent me a new drainage hose, i called them said Im alone, I cant fit this, they said they would send out a installer. He came, and said ah the pipe thats coming out of your wall doesnt match the new one, ..... I said ok so you will fix that? he said I dont do that , you need a plumber and out the door he went. I have given all of them time enough to check up on me?: no one, not a soul, the manager was supposed to call, she didnt. So Im posting this for other customers I will never never go in there again read more

Very disappointed. Ordered several thousand dollars worth of appliances. After ordering them and paying the deposit the service ENDED. We went in to pay the balance only to be told delivery was an 8 Hour window and the arrogant obnoxious guy behind the counter also insisted that the delivery driver wouldn't be able to call on delivery day one hour before arrival!! After asking how they could be so ridiculous we left the store very upset. One week before they informed me my microwave wasn't available for delivery (they only had six months notice after all!!). The delivery guys were miserable and my refrigerator had a broken handle. I'm still waiting after TWO WEEKS. Do not shop here!!! They will say anything for a sale but service once they have tour money is TERRIBLE. read more

Where do I begin.... We ordered a KitchenAid 5 burner gas convection oven. We stopped in a few of times to purchase the oven, but because the sales associate that initially helped us was not working those particular days they could not process it. They kept mentioning that the "commission" would need to be applied by the original associate. I completely understand that ( as I have worked commission jobs), however, to ask the customer to come back over and over again is unacceptable. Could one of the other associate not have processed the purchase under the proper sales associates number? Terrible system, this completely inconveniences the customer. Once we finally purchased the oven, we were told that it would take about a week as the item was back ordered. A week and half goes by and no communication has been initiated by the sales associate. We finally called them and they said that it would take about two weeks now. Were they even planning on informing us of this delay? When we finally received the oven, the power cord was missing the insert plug and the cord was sliced in half! As we already had our gas supplier there to install the oven we had to cancel the appointment ( which we are being charged for). We inquired about having them cover the cost of the gas install, but all Goeman's offered was to send an electrician to fix the power cord or to wait again for a replacement. Goeman's customer service was unbelievable and unacceptable!!! I don't think they've heard of "service after the sale". I thought with a reputable company like Goeman's, we would receive proper professional customer service. It's unfortunate, that for $140 to offer to pay for the gas install and leave us as satisfied customers, was too much for Goeman's to swallow. read more

Nice place to buy an appliance but doesn't take ownership for after-warranty service. Called in about service on an 8 year old stainless LG French Door refrigerator and was told to call another company for service. The service from that other company was poor (we ended up scrapping a very repairable appliance needlessly and out of frustration) and no attempt was made by Goeman's to check on their customers satisfaction. read more

This review is for Goemans Customer Service Department as a whole - if I could give zero stars, I would. I am absolutely disgusted and disappointed with the lack of ability of this Customer Service Department. I purchased 6 appliances from Goemans back in 2018 when I moved into a new house; I also purchased the 4 year extended warranty for an additional $700. My LG microwave broke back at the end of August 2019 (still covered under the manufacturer's warranty). Since it was covered under LG warranty, Goemans Customer Service assured me that they would contact LG to contact me - well 3 weeks and 2 phone calls later, LG still hadn't contacted me, and Goemans wasn't following up as they always told me they would at the end of every phone call. Finally, after a simple phone call with an LG representative informing me that they would replace it no problem, I was instructed by them to just bring my microwave to the store to be replaced. Well Goemans doesn't make things that simple. So here I am, 10 weeks since my initial call to Goemans, 3 weeks since LG approved the exchange, and 15+ phone calls to Customer Service...I still have no microwave. I would never recommend purchasing from Goemans because if anything happens to your appliances, it will definitely be a nightmare to get it fixed/replaced. When it would have been less of a hassle, headache, and more efficient for me just to go out and buy a brand new microwave, that means that the Customer Service Department is surely not doing their job well in any respect. Goemans - please refund me my $700 for the extended warranty I paid for because I never want to deal with your Customer Service Department ever again. read more

Disappointed in the delivery of our new bar b q! When we purchased, we took in competing ads from different businesses offering same bar b q - our sales person stated that they offered better service & price. Bought, paid for bar b q which was delivered 5 days later. I asked the delivery men if they could remove our old bar b q from the elevated deck, which they declined. They put the new bar b q on the deck next to our old bar b q & proceeded to walk away. I asked if they were going to hook it up. They said no, they just delivered. This was one of the points that I discussed before purchasing as another vendor offered free setup & delivery & testing & we believed that we were getting as we had discussed with our salesperson. Called & discussed this with the salesperson who stated that they just delivered. We had to call a friend in to assist with the removal of our old bar b q as we are seniors & cannot lift a bar b q down steps. We then had to go out to local hardware store to purchase new connectors as the new bar b q had a different hose. It would have been beneficial to have these points discussed with us prior to the purchase - we will certainly rethink any future purchases regarding delivery, set up & removal of old appliances. read more
