My last service call was in 2016 and was 5 stars, and Patrick Reilly still gets 5 stars. My 19 year old dishwasher decided to squirt water on the kitchen floor. Mr. Reilly diagnosed the problem as a leaky housing, which costs almost as much as a new washer. He advised against repairing it. While he was here I asked him to replace the belt on my clothes washer. It wasn't spinning up to speed like it should. On examination, the old belt was starting to fail at the splice, so it was replaced. Now my clothes dry in half the time. Service was excellent. Calls were answered. Questions were answered. I called Reilly and left a message at noon, and Patrick was here by 3 pm. He diagnosed the problem - the doors had sagged and weren't closing properly anymore. He fiddled with them and got them both to close properly. He also gave me some useful tips to try to keep this garage fridge working properly in the heat of the summer. I was very happy to have my fridge fixed, and to find someone who is so prompt, friendly and reasonable. I will definitely be calling Reilly for my appliance needs going forward. Great service. They were able to schedule a same day appointment, and he was here on the early side of the time "window" that they gave me. He fixed my issue (dishwasher that wasn't draining) in a matter of 10 minutes or so - and the he stayed to fill and drain it several times to be sure that it would continue to work. My dryer broke, I had a pretty good Idea it was the drum belt, as it was heating but not spinning. There is a always great dread when one has to pick a repair person. It is difficult to know what to expect. (I have kicked "When you call O'Donnell You get O'Donnell" heating out of my house...he will want $1500 to clean your furnace when it needs a small part. I have had a Verizon tech leave my basement- which is a wreck- but she shouldn't have shown up in heels and 3 inch hot pink fake nails either.) I called a few places, but their base service call was too high. I decided to go with a small business a few blocks away from me--- this one. I was quoted a call amount of $45 and that the tech would give me a flat price- which included the service call, with labor and part added on. I had researched the part- I saw anywhere from $6 to $29 so I thought it couldn't be too bad. I called maybe just before 10 am. I was told to expect a technician between 2 and 2:30, though they may call earlier. I received the call just before 2. The technician arrived about 10 minutes later. He looked at the machine and then gave me a flat price of $95.99 + tax . He took less than a half hour to fix it. The total was $103 and change. PERFECT!!! AWESOME!!! I have never had such a smooth experience with any repairs or appliance issues in my home. (Home Depot and O'Donnell I am looking at you!) I want to put Reilly Appliance Service on my Christmas card list I was so happy. I will Call ONLY them for appliance repairs in the future! read more

Called first thing this morning because my dryer was running cold. They were booked for today and were going to get me in first thing tomorrow but called an hour later after they had a cancellation. Our dryer was busted for about two weeks. The belt finally just gave so a relative of mine recommended Reilly Appliance in order to help us out. We heard good things, but let me tell you: This was probably the single worst experience we've ever had with any repair service. I created a Yelp Account just to write this review. I've never been one to complain, but I feel like people need to know what I've gone through so they don't have to go through it themselves. I'm writing this review literally about thirty minutes after they've left. They were supposed to arrive yesterday, but they called late and said they couldn't come. So today they were supposed to arrive at our place at 1:00PM-1:30PM. Well they arrived but it was 2:30PM. Okay, not a huge deal I suppose (even though their HQ is three blocks away from where we live) but they provided no reason for being late. Not to mention the fact they rang the doorbell and slammed their fists on the door like their lives depended on it. I live with my disabled father who has trouble walking around due to an injury as well so it takes time to get around. They knew about my father's disability from my relative who called them. They didn't have to act like we didn't hear them the first time. So, ignoring the bad introductions, they went into our basement and proceeded to begin whining and complaining about every little thing. My father was courteous to them, offering towels to kneel on because the basement floor is concrete, offering extra flashlights, more light in general and other such things. The two men (father and son I believe) completely ignored my father, rolled their eyes the entire time, and just kept whining. The dryer was slightly taken apart by another relative of mine to see what the issue was, and we're not experts, but it wasn't completely taken apart or stripped bare. All you needed to do was screw a couple things together and it'd be back in good condition to place the new belt in. But the two men kept whining about it acting like they had no clue what they were doing whatsoever. So they demanded that we had to send my relative (who is slightly sick at the moment) downstairs to explain to them what goes where. Now, why would we have to explain to trained repairmen how to screw a common dryer back together? It wasn't even taken all the way apart. Regardless, the older man kept putting his hand up to my relative and saying "Stay away from me, get away, stay back" over and over and over. He was the one who asked for him to come downstairs. We told him he was sick. Make up your mind, right? Well, my relative helped (which he didn't even need to since apparently they put it back together in less than like ten minutes) and the men kept complaining the entire time. My father had to come back upstairs because the older man kept ignoring and even bumping into him. So after this whole ordeal they managed to get it done in about less than an hour. At least it was a quick repair because those two men were so rude, callous and miserable. When they finished they took the old belt and just threw it on the basement floor, leaving it for us to pick up. (Real nice) The older man came upstairs and knocked like crazy on our door again. Just slamming his heavy fist over and over even when my father and I both yelled out "We're coming, hold on please!" He told us he was going to charge more for the repair, but he 'cut it for us.' Now that's nice, right? Well not when he keeps repeating it. He just kept saying over and over "It should've been over $200 for the hours, the two of us, and labour." It didn't even take hours to do. He said that honestly about fifteen times in a nasty tone. It's not nice anymore, is it? Well my family is... not well off. We don't have a lot of money and the man charged us about $163 for the whole thing. My father had $130 and said he'd send a check for the rest but the miserable man said no. He needed cash now. So I provided the extra cash of course, I wouldn't let my father pay for it if I had the cash, you know what I mean? You have to be good to family. Well we paid him, he didn't say anything except making a slightly rude passing remark about my father's disability and then they both left our house and sat in their car in our driveway. I have no idea why. They just sat in the driveway for a while until we had to tell them to leave because they were just taking up space. They weren't calculating, or doing paper work. We saw them through the windshield. Just sitting there. Not even talking to one another. So my father, relative, and I all told them to go and they finally went after mockingly blowing us kisses. Long story short: We'll never use this service again. The rudeness we encountered was the worst we've ever had from a repair service. I'd recommend never using these people. For your own sake, if you don't want to be treated like absolute dirt in your own home, don't use Reilly Appliance. read more

When our dryer stopped working, I didn't know who to call. I found Reilly Appliance Service online....I'm sure glad I did. They were fast, courteous and very fair when repairing the dryer. They were there exactly when they said they would be. He gave me an honest and fair quote and finished the job quickly. I would highly recommend Reilly for any repair service needs. I've used Reilly Appliance several times over the past 20 years and have always received excellent service. Today, on a Saturday, I called them to discuss my clothes dryer, which had no heat. I expected to leave a message or maybe schedule an appointment for Monday, but to my surprise they were able to come to my home that day. They called a few times to keep me updated on their expected arrival and were in and out of my home in no time at all. They fixed the issue and even checked my dryer vent inside and out to ensure nothing was clogged and it wouldn't overheat. Highly recommend! read more

Our 20-something-year-old KitchenAid dryer suddenly stopped heating, but still was turning on and spinning. It's always worked great and we've never had a problem with it before, so I didn't want to send it to the curb just yet. So, I decided to give Reilly Appliances a call to see if there was anything that could be done after reading the great reviews from other customers. Called the store just after they opened at 930am, had a service guy over at my house by 1015am, and he was out the door a little after 11. Had the needed part on him and replaced it quickly and efficiently for a great price! Couldn't beat it! So happy with the service I received today! If i could give more stars, I would!! I submitted a request for service on my dryer online and was called the next day. Pat came to my house and changed a thermostat and ordered a knob for the timer. He returned a few days later and my dryer is good as new. Pat was very nice and explained what i needed. Their service charge is less than any i know of and the parts and labor costs were reasonable.
