I went to Dr. Altakali about 5 days after waking up one day in extreme Lower back pain that I had…read morenever experienced before in my life! I could barely get out of bed, couldn't even put on my socks or shoes. I immediately knew something was seriously wrong with my lower back and I needed to see a chiropractor immediately, I called several chiropractors, but none had any slots available to see me, but luckily I found Dr. Altakali, who was able to see me as early as the next morning! I gotta hand it to Dr. Altakali, he took x rays of my lower back and immediately knew what the issue was, he sat down with me and we went over my x rays together. He told me not to worry, that I was gonna be okay and he immediately went to work, giving me fully body adjustments along with tens unit and massage therapy, but what I liked the most was his confidence and him reassuring me that I was going to be okay, at the time, the pain and barely able to walk, I thought for sure I was going to need surgery, nope, I saw significant improvement by my 3rd visit! Jalen Ferguson was filling in for him because Dr. wetz was on vacation. The receptionist said "she was told not to tell anyone it would be a different DR." which seems weird because even a family dr, dentist or eye dr will say "your dr is not available but we have appts with so and so". Even as a HAIRSTYLIST, we let the clients know someone else will be seeing them. There are so many things that can go wrong during a chiropractic appt and i take these appt very seriously. My husband has never met Dr. wetz So he didn't question the doctor. Both my kids said the adjustment was painful and he used a lot more force than Dr wetz. I did a lot of research before deciding to see Dr. wetz last year. He was highly recommended by cornerstone church. I would never just walk into a random clinic and let someone adjust my neck before having complete trust. 5 years of treatment vs the decades that Dr. wetz has been in the business is very different. I was told to ice their necks and back. THAT'S the remedy for this complete lack of judgement on their end. I'm so upset we weren't informed ahead of time and that the receptionist Mia could care less. I find it hard to believe Dr. Wetz would tell the receptionist to keep it a secret but if he did shame on him!! The receptionist said if we didn't want to be adjusted by the new dr we could have left. Which also seems inconsiderate since we took my son out of school early and my husband left work to make that appt. Extremely disappointed!! Also, the receptionist was charging me full price for my appts and not filling my insurance for the longest time. I had to really put my foot down for her to do it correctly. I have been scheduled for this surgical procedure since the beginning of May to replace my pain…read morepump. I arrived for my surgery today and checked in at 11:00 for a 1:00 procedure just to be told that my procedure was rescheduled for June 12 at another location. The front desk at the surgery center said that the doctor's office was supposed to call me. I pulled out my phone and checked to see if I had any missed calls, text messages or emails and there was n record of their contacting me at all. I'm very frustrated and disappointed in this office. When we don't show up for an appointment we get charged a no-show fee, but when they mess up we just have to accept it. No reimbursement for time, travel, gas or the inconvenience of someone else having to take off from work to drive me because a driver is required for the procedure. I called the office to talk to someone and was put on hold for a while and then I asked to speak to the office manager and they never connected me to one. How do you just reschedule someone without verifying with them first...don't you check your records to make sure that the patient has been notified and is aware of a change? I think they should pay for my gas driving up here and for my daughter taking half a day off to be my driver. When they have to be accountable for their mistakes, they will be more diligent and responsible for making sure everything is correct and everyone is aware of what is going on. Okay, I just got a call from the office and I'm really pissed now ...I was told that they get busy and have a lot on their plate and things sometimes get forgotten. Is it really okay for something like rescheduling a surgery gets forgotten? I was al told that the doctor won't be able to call me...the assistants call the patient. When will the patient ever be prioritized????

This office is a little older than the other one, but the quality in care is the same. Everyone I got to talk to during my time there was very attentive and took the time to listen to my needs. My appointment was with Ms. Ashlei Wooten and she was absolutely wonderful. I usually see Ms. Candace at the Huebner location, but I am glad to found a second nurse practitioner I can trust and that cares about your well-being. From the first day I met him he was very descriptive in explaining to me the gallbladder issues I'm having, showing me the ultrasound and explaining the process along with why I should get sooner than later. Yep. Booked that day a month out with surgery scheduler Denise . I also had to obtain FMLA Paperwork from his office with Maria that was done in a timely manner and sent to my employer . NOW Today was my surgery at the Methodist Ambulatory Hospital and everything was perfect from checking in with Rosario, Pre-Op Nurse Jessica, OR Nurse Monique, OR Tech Dante, Recovery Nurse Shelly and my Anesthesiologist who I cannot recall her name but over all 10/10 experience from Day 1 to day of surgery. I've been home 7 hours and took pain meds an hour ago for first time but think the Exparel shots in surgery are why I'm not on extreme pain.
