TriState did our kitchen in August of 2019 - 6 months ago as of this writing. We have a 50" x 25"…read moresplit ranch with a standard L-shaped kitchen. The job was to take out the old and replace it with "normal" cabinets. (A previous owner saw himself as "handy". We didn't.) Karen in Londonderry was very helpful in guiding us through the necessary decisions on style, color, composition. No pushing, no upselling, very clear about the options. And options they had. Once decided, everything came in about 3 weeks later and the job was scheduled. The job started exactly when stated. Aside from the kitchen disappearing, there was minimal disruption. All of the previous mistakes were corrected, new building standards applied, and everything installed very well. Only one hiccup and that was in a lighting fixture that had us all perplexed. It's the 21st century - making lighting fixtures has been mastered, you'd think. The lighting store confirmed (to their surprise) that the fixture was bad and a new one was provided. Mike, the job manager, has his stuff together. In scoping our the job, he noted the problems and provided excellent advice for everything. Coordination was amazing. Completion was excellent. The job took 2 weeks, Monday to the next Friday - no weekend work. There was no redesign, no floor or wall work, just cabinets. The cost was just over 20K. We are still pinching ourselves. It's the "same" kitchen but everything is perfect now. Yes, we do recommend TriState.

There was no protection put on the floors, appliances, under the cabinets-anywhere! The house was covered in sawdust. I'm still cleaning up. I've had to wash every cupboard and dish underneath as well as the entire house. We had just staged the house for new buyers and had spent a lot of time cleaning before they got here. We had to redo everything. Then the guy had to come back because the edge of the counter wasn't nailed down. We called the office but got no compensation or even an offer to come clean up. Very disappointed with service.

Purchased hardwood flooring from them, didn't look like the store sample when installed and the finish was very different. I was told flooring was very durable, so since it looked different than store sample, I poured red wine on a scrap piece. The red wine stained, and Drew kept telling me it was the same flooring and he was sure I would be happy with it even though I proved that was not true with the red wine. I felt like he was selling me a bag of crap and telling me it was chocolate. Their crew left my house in a shambles during demolition phase. We literally could not walk in our kitchen because of debris stacked a few inches high. I was told they assumed we weren't going to live in our house while they were there. Countertop quote took 2 months to get final quote, and by that time I had already found someone else.

When we remodeled our kitchen in 1991, with semi-custom cherry cabinets, the space we allowed for a…read morerefrigerator was, we hoped, big enough for any future replacement. The cabinet above was 67 inches from the floor. We never dreamed that almost 30 years later almost every fridge on the market was over 70 inches tall, and the one we wanted was 71-1/2 inches. What we wanted was a cabinetmaker to take out the existing cabinet and replace it with something shorter but that still looked good in the space. One woodworker we contacted said he couldn't take the job, but recommended Giles Woodworks of Milford. Chris Giles asked for additional photos and measurements, and quoted us an acceptable price to build a new cabinet (now the full width of the opening), with doors that matched the rest of the kitchen. He came out to remove the old cabinet, had us visit his shop to verify the color match, then returned a week later (with his daughter as assistant) to install the new cabinet. To say that we are thrilled and delighted would be an understatement. You would never know that the new cabinet wasn't part of the original installation three decades earlier. The tachometer was not functional. A trap door under the feed rollers was missing so a pile of debris was left under chipper at each location. The feed rollers had trouble grabbing brush, much of which had to be pushed through. One of the two latches to secure the in-feed table was missing. All in all, this has mirrored my past experiences. Other rental providers consistently offer a better-maintained, more functional machine.
