Well our saving grace was not a tiny wedding it was Nicole at Laurel Gardens. Everything she offers comes from the heart, she is so passionate about what she does and has a grace to juggle multiple things at once. I told her the vibe I was going for and she made it happen. She took care of so many small details that removed the pressure from us, during the time when most brides are stressed out and intense I got to kick back and enjoy the season because she had it all under control. The vibe of the venue is romantic in and of itself, everything else just amplifies that. We had an absolute blast at our wedding, our guests said the same, and we attribute a lot of that to Nicole & her husband Mikey for making it happen. Oh... The bride and groom planned a themed wedding, which was incredible, made possible by this compound's central courtyard and pool. As family and friends gathered, everything leading up to the main event was awesome. There are multiple kitchens in the main house, various parlors, gathering spaces, a BAR!, plenty of bedrooms, beds and bathrooms The grounds and pool were perfect for different reasons. The main house for larger gatherings with 2 additional houses within walking distance, this prevented us feeling on top of each other and provide opportunities to walk in the desert for a little break from the action. We appreciated that our guests could also gather in intimate groups in the venue's detached homes. We discussed the possibility of returning for a family reunion or thanksgiving holiday in the future. Other considerations. Rent a vehicle - No Uber availability Rugged terrain- those with mobility issues Owners/ hosts were responsive and easy to work with. People complained about how much food was served. They got was the ordered and paid for. They also didn't provide any trash.
