I was very surprised by how tender the meat was and how delicious the bibimmyun was! The seasoning for everything is a bit lighter so not as salty and not as flavorful but I really liked that after I was done eating, it didn't leave me feeling heavy or gross. Decided to try gogiville and loved the experience and food there. Service was attentive and prompt. Tried the marinated short rib (galbi) and seasoned cubed rib (joomooleok), corn cheese, steamed egg, and cold naengmyun noodles. Everything was great including the side dishes. Gogiville is a pretty decent option for good Korean BBQ in centreville. The problem is that there are so many good places for Korean BBQ that and they all have all you can eat options like So and Iron Age. The quality and offerings of the meats offered at Gogiville are a little bit better so if you are not big on all you can eat and would prefer a la carte, I'd highly recommend this place. I'd prefer it over Honey Pig because the staff is much more pleasant and attentive. Comparatively, price is about the same but they do offer corn cheese along with the steamed egg and tofu soup which makes it a much better go to spot. The staff is also super friendly and welcoming so you don't feel rushed or anything. Also, they take COVID safety very seriously so you will have peace of mind when dining here. Highly recommend for those looking for options to the usual Korean BBQ all you can eat options. read more

This is my all time favorite Korean BBQ spot in Northern Virginia. I've come in here to eat so many times already! They have really good quality meats and prices aren't bad at all. I love the brisket and pork belly, but honestly, all their meats are really good! They have decent banchan and corn cheese too. The combo portions are actually ridiculous and it always ends up being too much for my husband and I to finish. I like that this place isn't AYCE because it keeps the meat quality consistent and high. My mom doesn't even like meat and when we brought her here, she ate so much and loved it! My stomach is literally growling right now because I'm thinking of all the juicy meat from here omgahhhhh. I might have to come back soon. I've also never had a bad experience with service here. Covid March 2021 This is my 3rd time dining witn Gogiville. I still love their food down to earth. One of the good korean bbq place i have recommended many times to ppl I know. My third time experience unfortunately didnt turn out well. This review is mostly on their customer service perspective. I didnt have a good experience with the server I had on the day of my visit. I will not call him out as I dont want him to get in any trouble either. There are free complementary (2) if you put in a certain number of orders but he didnt tell me about the options I have (there are 3 choices you can choose from) nor asking me which 2 of 3 choices i want. All of my food came out, but no complementaries brought out so I asked to ensure that they still have that option even though it still say on their menu. He said he already put them in for me ( i was wondering how didnt he know which one i want, but food was good so i didnt bother much to care). We finished 1/2 of our meal and nothing came, and that he wasn't attentive to our table either. I asked again for the complementaries with another waiter and also requested a bowl of rice (normally they would serve rice or would ask if you want one). Finally my waiter brought us our complementaries when we almost finished our meal but NO rice. I was very disappointed w my recent visit with them. Not sure if I still want to go back since there are so many bbq places now to choose from. My family and I have made Gogiville our first choice for Korean BBQ since we moved here a few years ago. The nengmyun was what we really came for and we are sad to have experienced tonight's nengmyun was significantly different than in the past. Not the icy, beefy broth that we anticipated . Tonight's was good, but I noticed a change in the flavors of the same menu items. The marinades of the meats tasted sweeter and it was not the OG place we had grown to love. The entree meats are all still of quality, including the noodles, and the style of foods is different given sauce accompaniments. We came as a party of seven and ordered some combos and a la carte items. Perhaps because of our larger party, the waitress grilled our meats on the table behind us instead of doing it on our table. The reason I highlighted this is because I like to grill the garlic slices along with the meats before wrapping the meat, garlic, and peppers in a leaf of lettuce. The grilled garlic enhances the aroma of the whole thing. So the fact that the grilling was not done on our table did not give me the chance to grill the garlic slices. Apart from that, there is little not to like about this place. The waitress was attentive and kept asking if we needed anything else. Food-wise, everyone in the party said they enjoyed the thick cut unmarinated pork belly, seasoned cube ribs, and unmarinated short ribs. I personally like the unmarinated meats because you can fully savor the meat with its natural oils (goes even better with grilled garlic slices). We also ordered the seafood pancake, which was actually quite good. The only complaint about that was the small size compared to other reputable Korean restaurants I've been to. Visited for lunch and ordered the GV Combo 1 - brisket, thick cut pork belly, & prime ribeye and added in spicy bulgogi. All of the meats are high quality! The pork belly did have a lot of fat versus meat. The banchans are good - not great. They have a macaroni pasta instead of the usual Korean mashed potato. All of the vegetables included were very fresh. The corn cheese is good when they first bring it out - suggest eating it almost immediately. This place is seriously top notch. First off, the quality of their meat is the best I've ever had in the NOVA area. They have combo menus, which I've never really been a fan of since I feel like a lot of places jip you in terms of the quantity of the meat and serving the cheaper cuts first. But here, their combo menus give you a LOT of food, and don't wait to serve you the more expensive meats earlier in the meal. We ordered a the beef combo for 4 (there were four of us) and two mini naengmyuns (which btw, were huge lol), and had so much leftover. The beef combo that was recommended for 3 people was enough to satisfy our group of 4. The sides of corn cheese, soybean soup, and steamed egg come with the combo and also tasted great. The rice was not too dry either. Slightly high prices, but the quality was really good so it is worth eating here. Also, when we went, there was bad weather so the restaurant wasn't too busy which made it feel safer (because of COVID). The server was attentive and made sure the meat was cooked well. This review is late but better late then never. My wife and I came in August. We've been to a few other KBBQ places in Centreville (i.e. Honeypig and So) but we wanted to try something different and Gogiville looked pretty good on Yelp. We made a reservation and were seated immediately once we arrived. They have plexiglass partitions between the tables so you are essentially in a fishbowl protected from other diners. I dont recall exactly what we ordered but all of it was amazing. I didnt have a single complaint about anything that we ate. I really enjoyed Gogiville and will be back again. read more

I ordered the bulgogi..I was taken aback that my server brought out the raw meat soaked in blood and placed it directly next to my starters as the grill warmed. This place does pretty good BBQ. The price is a bit high for what you get, but the meat quality is much better than some other places in the area. I do wish there were more banchan offerings, but small banchan offerings seems to be the norm in MD/VA. They also have partitions up for each table for covid, which is a nice touch. Even though it's not all you can eat BBQ, the combos they have to choose from was very fulfilling anyway. I had the 2 person combo and I can say that was enough.
