They had to shorten the metal rail that the chair runs along in order to install it. They also shortened and reinstalled the hand railing to another edge where it is very useful now. They took it upon themselves to troubleshoot first directly with the manufacturer and then organized a replacement part for us. We were up and running within a week (all this during Covid in April). When we did contact him Michael arranged to come out the next day. I thought he would just do a survey but he was equipped with grab bars and everything else he needed. He not only quickly and efficiently started installing bars in the bathrooms, but he also made extremely helpful suggestions like a multi-use shower head and a raised toilet seat. The only other thing he needed to do was measure for stair railings. He came back the next day and installed two railings that fit right in with the existing two, I can't say enough good things about Michael and Grabwise. I contacted customer service to resolve the problem and was willing to accept a scooter replacement. However, after speaking with Chris, the trust was gone. His communication felt hostile, dismissive, and disrespectful at a time when I was already stressed and trying not to miss important meetings. The delivery driver was friendly and helpful, but the customer service experience was unacceptable. I also could not get clear answers about corporate, ownership, or escalation. The pickup process added more stress because it took too long for them to retrieve the wheelchair, and I had to deal with the hotel calling me and moving the equipment between my room and the lobby. Because I could not risk being without mobility access, I had to rent from another company that was respectful, professional, and provided reliable equipment. DRCE provides a comprehensive program to evaluate whether the person is capable of driving, designs a system to get them back on the road and modifies vehicles in their state of the art shop to accommodate special needs. In the past therapists working with the disabled and vehicle modifiers adapting vehicles for the disabled worked in different silos and talked past one another. DRCE integrates the entire process. Not only does DRCE service wounded warriors and other disabled persons wishing to get back on the road, they also provide independent driver evaluations for senior citizens. In my case, my wife and I wanted to provide other family members assurance that a senior family member was still capable of driving locally to familiar locations during the day. DRCE put this senior family member through a series of mental agility, coordination and on the road evaluations then delivered a comprehensive report on this persons ability to drive. The two co-founders, Josh and Tammy, are on site you work with them during the evaluation. Highly recommended for anyone who is disabled and wants to drive again or who wants to evaluate the driving capabilities of a senior family member.

Sam Banks Jr will charm you and give you a very fair quote- it might even seem like a steal. Don't…read moretake it. We hired Banks and Son to redo our shower and the lack of attention to detail was atrocious. The final product was sloppy, there were cracked tiles left on the wall, our shower door was installed slanted leaving a large gap at the bottom, the grout was cracked, and there were parts of the shower that were left unsealed. When I emailed Sam about these issues, he was aggressive, misogynistic, and dismissive. He told me the shower door slanted because I didn't get a custom one, the grout came up because I was cleaning wrong, and that glass tiles break and are a poor choice (um you could have mentioned that- but also Reddit exists and they in fact do not crack when you install correctly). We love a paper trail though, thanks Sam. After a few exchanges- his assistant came over and I showed him the worst part of the job-THE DIVOT IN THE FLOOR WHERE WATER POOLS- and told him if he didn't fix all the other issues I'd have them rip up the marble and redo the floor. Magically, all the issues Sam said were my fault got fixed. We had another contractor re- grout our floor after Sam's second chance because it was still coming up. They also cracked a floor tile and just didn't mention it... We planned to use him for our other bathroom but were done after the shower.
