I rented a wheelchair from Mobility Solutions some months ago. A relative with knee problems was visiting, and we wanted to take her down to see the cherry blossoms without her having to walk too much. Linda from Mobility Solutions was extremely helpful in suggesting which type of wheelchair we should rent and showing us how to use it. Price was about $40 for 1 week (the shortest time you can rent). It's located in a kind of warehouse strip in Silver Spring, which makes parking and loading easy. They rent all kinds of mobility equipment: transport chairs, scooters, motorized wheelchairs, etc. The wheelchair we rented folded up and fit nicely in the back of our tiny car. We were in a desperate situation needing a stairlift. They came out within 48 hours and installed the lift. We had it in the house for five months never requiring adjustments or repairs. If anyone needs an electric chair lift stair climber for their home used to transport people from one floor to another, I have a wonderful company to recommend. We interviewed several companies and were surprised to see the cost. Our neighbors suggested we contact a company they had used for their Mother. We called and talked to Mark, the owner. He was SO helpful. He gave us an idea we had not considered, using a second hand chair. Within days, it arrived at our door, and was installed. Unfortunately it had a quirk. We called and their team came right out. The chair was a pain requiring many hours work (costing them money). The crew was patient and hard working. Soon it was fixed and we were on our way. I cannot sing the praises of Mobility Solutions, and Mark, the owner, enough!! Mark has been unbelievably helpful to my disabled brother, and has generously extended himself to me and his children as well when we have needed advice on how to solve his mobility issues. My brother is rather careless and not the best driver with his power chair, and not infrequently calls Mark in a panic that he has done something to the chair and is having problems with it. Mark is unfailingly patient and always goes the extra mile, even making house calls on occasion to right the problem (often something very simple) when my brother can't manage to get to the shop. Mark and his staff are very professional, knowledgeable, and caring, and offer superb support for the products they sell. this company is a rip off. they purposely sell cheap old equipment to lure you in. What they don't tell you is that the first time something breaks, since the equipment is so old they no longer make parts. Therefore it ends up costing you more money to fix the unit than what you initially paid for it. They perform the work then quote the price and after the work is done, they have the nerve to say, you might as well as purchased a new unit! read more

They guided me through the insurance problems after a traffic accident and credited the rental of a mobility scooter to my new replacement scooter. I rented a stair lift for two months from Mobility Solutions while my father was visiting us. I called around thinking I would have to buy one but Mark explained the rental option, and walked me through over the phone how to measure. We have a longer-than-normal stair case so it took him a day to find the right size unit. But Mark arranged to have it installed the following day. Nick came out to install and he was punctual, very courteous, professional and patient in explaining how to use and maintain. He spent enough time to make sure my dad felt safe and was comfortable riding it. The unit was very solid and worked well although it was a used one. After two months, I called and Nick again came out to remove the unit. I enjoyed the experience. Their customer service is superb. I would highly recommend. read more

They were reasonably priced, professional, helpful, extremely knowledgeable and did the work quickly.
