My favorites of the ones I tried were the Pistachio Saffron ice cream sandwich - it had a crunchy, but soft nut crunch to it and it was very creamy as well; the Creamy Rose ice cream sandwich - it had a subtle rose taste to it, but it was not strong which I prefer; and the Creamy Saffron ice cream sandwich - it tasted like a buttery vanilla with an interesting aftertaste to it. The other flavors I tried were the Double Date Delite ice cream sandwich - it was creamy with a light date taste to it; the Pomegranate Chocolate ice cream sandwich - it had the pomegranate taste to it with a strong chocolate aftertaste with little crunches in some bites while it was not too sweet; the Chocolate pint - it reminds me of hot chocolate and it was pretty creamy; and the Creamy Mango pint - it tasted like mango cream with a powdery aftertaste to it. read more

I feel bad for this business because of the smack it has been getting for the misleading groupon. I also purchased the same groupon and it made sense to me from the getgo that what I was getting for $1 is a $10 off discount for an ice cream cake. For whatever reason I don't understand how complicated the fine print was for other people. If ever there was some ambiguity, it was the lack of information about requiring to pre-order in advance, and thanks to one of the yelpers, I was made aware. With that said the ice cream cake we ordered is really good. You know how sweet those store bought ice-cream you get at your local grocery store, this was nothing like that. The ice cream cake wasn't cloying at all. The cake isn't made entirely of ice cream, the base is made of spice-infused cake and the top-half is all chunky pistachio ice cream. The price of the 8-inch cake we got may be off-putting to some, but when we go purchase whole cakes at a patisserie/bakery (ie. Crixa cakes, Alpine's pastry and cakes) we pretty much spend about the same price range. So don't be discouraged by the low reviews based on the groupon dilemma. They have been running a wrong groupon ad $1 for a cake for months. When I went to pick up a cake driving few miles she told I have to order 3 days in advance. Why can't they mention that on groupon ? Now after a month when I called again to place my order she says the cake is $39.99 and with my groupon I get $10 off that's it. As an Ice Cream lover I may be biased because I even like McDonalds Ice Cream cones, but I cook a lot with Saffron and I can tell they use the top quality (probably explains the price). The pistachios are also so yummy, not the stale hard kinds but fresh and moist.
