Absolutely beautiful cookies and they taste as good as they look. I had a last minute cookie order and they were done to perfection. I ordered 10 'paint your cookie' for my son's classmates for holidays. I can't express how impressive my cookies and the entire purchase experience was. Highly recommend this store! Zenaida was so helpful and took on a very last minute custom cookie order for me for my friends 30th birthday party! She was very prompt and responded to my emails and texts very quickly, from my initial inquiry until pickup. I had started to reach out to other people who do custom cookies locally 3-4 weeks in advance (as most of their websites say that is the minimum requirement) and either didn't get a response or they were booked months in advance, which was partially my fault because I forgot about Christmas cookie orders. I made one last ditch effort a week and a half before the party to try to find someone and The Chocolate Dozen was the only one to get back to me! For a reasonable rush fee I was able to get the cookies ordered by the next day and Zenaida was able to finish 18 custom cookies within a week. She sent me a photo of them once completed and it was exactly what I wanted and very close to my inspo photo! They were a highlight and hit at the party too, everyone loved them and it really made the night more special and tied in with the theme perfectly! Those that ate them at the party (instead of taking them home) said they tasted great as well. Extremely happy with how they turned out and would absolutely order from Zenaida and The Chocolate Dozen again!

I got a cute decorate your own cookie kit from here and although it was cute the cookies were pretty average tasting. Standard Cookie with unflavored Frosting that did look good, just didn't leave much of an impression otherwise. They do also offer a number of other items that are aesthetically pleasing based off of their social media pictures so I'll make point of trying something a little more adventurous in the future. read more

Trust me, there are so many delicious varieties to choose from you will not want to just try one or two kinds of treats. Take for example... the salted caramel fig & chocolate chip cookie!!! Yes!!! Finally, an ultimate powerhouse of a cookie!!! I can not describe how talented Zenaida is. Her designs and level of creativity are just astounding. Each item I have received from The Chocolate Dozen has been so meticulously decorated it makes me hesitate whether or not I want to actually ruin it by talking a bite. Ohhh but please do take a bite because if you think the design is amazing... wait until you taste these delicious treats... just incredible. Hands down the best cookies in the tri valley area!! We ordered these for our upcoming wedding as the favors. Prior to finding The Chocolate Dozen we sampled cookies from various vendors around the area and were underwhelmed. By far my favorite desserts are the chocolate raspberry ganache and pumpkin chocolate chip toffee cookies! You can not stop at just eating one! The detail placed on each cookie or dessert tells you there is so much love and care. Every time I see a box with the sticker "The Chocolate Dozen", I know I'm in for something delicious. Whether you have a chocolate craving with the perfect chewy / crunchy texture (hello Toffee Bars!) or craving a mouth watering, sweet /tart, buttery goodness treat, the shortbread cookies with calamansi cream is perfect. Meet the Business Owner: Zenaida Z.

Zenaida has always had a passion for creating treats that brings a WOW! factor in them. Born and raised on Guam she has always loved baking since she was a little girl. I strongly dislike cherry, so this was frustrating. My daughter then asked for a cup, and the employee's tone came across as rude and impatient. Fortunately, the young man at the register noticed what happened and was very kind. He apologized when he saw me trying to remove the cherry ice cream from my order, and his professionalism was appreciated. I've visited Salt & Straw in Newport Beach before and have always found the staff welcoming, friendly, and attentive. I was excited to bring my daughter to the San Ramon location, but unfortunately this visit did not reflect the level of service I've come to expect from the brand. I hope management takes this feedback as an opportunity to improve the customer experience, because the ice cream is great, but the service left a lot to be desired.

The employee who helped us (a young African American Hispanic looking young girl) appeared annoyed and uninterested in assisting customers. When I ordered a cone, she never asked what size or how many scoops I wanted and instead assumed a large waffle cone with two scoops. When I received my olive oil ice cream, it had cherry ice cream and crumbs mixed into it, making it seem like the scoop had not been properly cleaned between flavors. I strongly dislike cherry, so this was frustrating. My daughter then asked for a cup, and the employee's tone came across as rude and impatient. Fortunately, the young man at the register noticed what happened and was very kind. He apologized when he saw me trying to remove the cherry ice cream from my order, and his professionalism was appreciated. I've visited Salt & Straw in Newport Beach before and have always found the staff welcoming, friendly, and attentive. I was excited to bring my daughter to the San Ramon location, but unfortunately this visit did not reflect the level of service I've come to expect from the brand. I hope management takes this feedback as an opportunity to improve the customer experience, because the ice cream is great, but the service left a lot to be desired.

The seating, tables and lighting make it feel more like a stylish showroom than a typical restaurant, which made the experience feel extra enjoyable for me and my wife. I really wanted to mention this first, lol, I usually rave about the food at the places I eat at but as soon as I came in here and saw where I was about to eat my food it heightened my dining experience and I wanted to acknowledge that. The food absolutely delivers. The banh mi sandwiches are big, meaty and fresh with a baguette that's soft inside and perfectly crunchy outside. I've also had the grilled pork chop rice plate which came with generous portions and all the right sides. The pho is top-notch, flavorful broth, great temperature that doesn't burn your tongue and plenty of meat and beef balls. Service is fast and efficient, even during lunch hour and I was able to enjoy a full meal and get back to work on time. I'm genuinely delighted every time I eat here and definitely plan to come back when I'm not watching the clock so closely. Highly recommended.

Both drinks are a little bit on the sweet side (which we like), so be sure to request less sweet if you don't like your coffee too sweet. Sandwiches were ordered were also delicious and we're looking forward to trying other food next time. There are plenty of tables and seating with plugs which is a plus. Because it is a workplace cafe, it is only open Mon-Fri.

I was immediately floored when I walked in. It is such a beautiful and modern space. You will see the coffee bar as soon as you walk in. I ordered an iced latte and croissant. Both good. The best part is the lake in the back. There's tons of walk trails, a volleyball court, and FREE boat ride which lasted 10-15 minutes. It was such a relaxing location - great for getting some work done or some steps in. I can't wait to go back.

I had a terrible experience with this place. I tried to place an order with them and the lady was so rude first of all she would not give me the quote when i Just asked her for a quote for 2 different types of cookies she stated she is is not going to give me a quote for everything out there - don't you think you should be giving someone a quote if they ask for one for at least two items before placing an order. I don't think this is good customer service. read more

Just horrible taste I was expecting these to be really good - it just seems like they are overpriced and don't taste as well as they should. I have tried other cookies in the area and those were way better. This one was just terrible it cookies tasted like they were stale. Not going to you again1! read more
