confession: i have ever only heard of the pawn stars show but never actually watched it…read more.. but let me tell you, the owners have SUCH a huge following that many of the visitors are there for the meet and greet instead of buy/sell/trade, which i thought was really cool and exciting! the staff at gold & silver pan shop are SO approachable and nice. we had casually dropped by to sell and the process went extremely smooth! and their buying process is very streamlined and fair. we stuck around after selling to check out the items in the stores and there are a lot of beautiful vintage rolex pieces along with a lot of picasso lithographs that i would love to own one day! coda helped answered a lot of our questions and was extremely knowledgeable and personable. there's an attached parking lot to the shop and it was easy to find a parking spot. there's also plenty of security on-site so you can feel at ease and safe. we're definitely making gold & silver pawn shop our vegas destination every visit now!

It does look the same as it did last year so that's accurate. The shop is actually pretty small as far as the sales floor space but their are lot of jewelry items but not many other items are avaliable. You can come to pawn items but I would not come here to purchase anything. Prices are way over normal retail prices. If you buy jewelry here, you are buying it at a loss. A lot of the same items priced differently. Great nostalgic visit. But that's where the fun stops.

She was super helpful, friendly, and knew her stuff. So we came back on May 12th around 1:30 PM ready to buy, and I really wish we had just turned around when we didn't see her. No one greeted us.....not one employee. The only person who even said anything was the security guard, and funny enough, he actually remembered us from our last visit he ever said "hey welcome back" when he saw us. We started walking around, and a few employees were just chatting with each other. They saw us, definitely made eye contact, but no one came over or said anything. After about 5-10 minutes of us looking around and being ignored, an older white guy (semi-tall, gray hair, black frame glasses) was standing nearby. He didn't greet us either, but he had no problem going straight to two women who walked in after us and offered them something (which they ended up not even taking). Still, he didn't say a word to us. At that point, it started to feel personal, i felt we were being judged or profiled. I don't know if it was race or just assumptions based on how we looked, but it didn't sit right. We ended up sitting down and I told my boyfriend, "If no one says anything to us in 2 minutes, we're leaving." Finally, a taller Hispanic guy with a bald head and glasses came over. He had been chatting with someone when we first walked in, so it's not like he didn't see us. When I said, "We're being ignored by everyone," he apologized and started helping us. He showed us two rings, and we asked him to put in an offer on one. He said he'd go check with "him"..... I assume a manager or the owner. He came back like two minutes later with an offer that honestly felt like a joke. No effort to talk to us, no questions about what we were looking for, just flat energy all around. I've been to other Max Pawn locations, and the experience was totally different, way more welcoming and helpful. This location didn't feel that way at all. It felt like we were bothering them just by being there. I really hope whoever runs this store checks the footage from that day and see how we were completely ignored. While doing some routine online shopping, I discovered some extremely well priced "925 SOLID STERLING SILVER MEN'S CUBAN NECKLACES" on the website of one of the 10 top retailers in America. They were handsome. They were underpriced. ... and I assumed (wrongly) that the inventory prices might be lagging the price increases in precious metals, (ahem!), so I purchased a few in different lengths and waited for my (explicitly stated) FREE DELIVERY. When they arrived, my husband and I marveled at their weight and handsome mirror finish. They were all stamped 925. My husband sells on eBay and we discussed ordering some more, holding them and potentially reselling them there if/when the price of silver continued to increase. In other words, we invested in them thinking we had spotted an opportunity. We ordered MORE. He researched other similar items on eBay and the prices already were much more expensive and proposed listing one to test the market. At this point I must have felt some sense of caution because I decided that I personally didn't want to sell anything that I wasn't 100% sure about... but I didn't know HOW could I be sure without potentially damaging the necklace. I asked AI where to test sterling in Las Vegas and on 1/29/25, I called Nevada Coin & Jewelry feeling uncomfortable because I had no interest in buying anything. I spoke to Laura and she was warm and gracious while explaining that they had equipment that could assess the exact metallic composition of an item without harming it. Within an hour I was THERE. Laura took me to a private booth where nobody could hear me or look over my shoulder and evaluated three items including one necklace. (FREE!) She didn't make me feel stupid. She allowed me to photograph the screen that displayed the instantaneous analysis. Guess what? My big box major retailer product, listed, sold, packaged and marked as 925 sterling turned out to be: 90%+ copper. Soooooo, What's next? A whole can of worms as my dad would have said. I'm holding a few hundred dollars worth of garbage that needs time and work to obtain a refund and apology (?) for fraud and online misrepresentation. Trust me, I don't believe that this major retailer with a good reputation will want to ignore this type of threat to their good will with the public. But as a former corporate person in both product development and marketing, it's hard to believe they didn't do more testing themselves. When I do resolve this issue and am made whole for my purchases AND my time and inconvenience, I will return to this review and post the outcome story. I was trying to find an actual jewelry store that purchases rings, not a pawn shop type of place that gets rid of the diamonds and melts the gold down for weight. Basically that's exactly who these guys turned out to be. The person who spoke to me was rude and supercilious right from the beginning, not very pleasant. He barely even had a chance to take a glance at my ring when he said "very generic". Didn't bother to get out a loupe and look at the diamonds, wasn't interested in really discussing anything. Huge turn off! I think I'd have a much better experience at a pawn shop than at this place. I wouldn't recommend that anyone go here for anything.
