Today we ventured out to Golden Bunny Donut in Duluth, and wow--it was absolutely delicious! We picked up a strawberry milk cream donut, Oreo cream donut, tiramisu donut, and a peach cream donut (for the photo). The strawberry didn't even make it into the picture--or home--because we ate it in the car. It was that good! The strawberry milk cream donut was incredible: perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and buttery inside, with a strawberry-and-whipped-cream filling that just melts in your mouth. I honestly can't wait to try the rest of the box. Customer service was excellent--the staff was super polite and friendly, and the shop itself was very clean. It does get busy (we went around 1 p.m. on a Saturday and the line was out the door), so if you want the best flavor selection, I'd recommend going earlier. Prices are very reasonable at $3.99 per donut, and they're big enough to share if you want. Definitely worth it! Parking was easy since it's located in a shopping center, and the shop was simple to find. Overall, totally worth the trip--I'll definitely be back. read more

The inside is really cute! There are little trinkets you can buy as well as merch and mugs. I got the churro doughnut (no filling), and the filled tiramisu donut. Strangely I liked the one without filling way better - it had that fried dough flavor and wasn't too heavy. The cinnamon sugar made it taste so delicious. I didn't really like the filled one; the donut part tasted like white bread and it was very dense. It definitely wasn't that great but it looked beautiful. Overall I'd say it was okay. The service and decor were great as well as the options, just wasn't expecting the filled donuts to be so bread-like; but if thats you're thing I'm sure you'd love it!. read more

Cute dessert place, only a small seating area available. Most people order to-go. We ordered crème brûlée filling donut which is mouth watering! The outer layer is on the crispy/crunchy side which we loved and the crème brûlée filling is not too sweet, just right! Thai tea is pretty good but on the watery side, not as creamy/concentrated/dense compared to those found in a more authentic Thai restaurant. I really wanted to love Gold Bunny Donuts. I live 30-45 minutes away and have tried multiple times to place an order, but the experience has been consistently frustrating. They never answer their phone -- I've called over 10 times -- and none of the numbers listed have a working voicemail or way to leave a message. I attempted to order through DoorDash. The first order was canceled. The second one went through, but they changed items without notifying me (I don't like custard donuts), and there was no option to refund or replace. I tried contacting them about it, but again -- no response. On the bright side, I really appreciate that they're doing Asian-inspired flavors -- the donuts look beautiful and unique. But unfortunately, I may never know how they taste because I can never get the ones I actually want. It's just not worth the long drive and the lack of communication. If you're local, maybe it's worth the risk, but if you're coming from farther out, be prepared for a lot of uncertainty. read more

Love to see an Asian donut spot that's not mochi or traditional donuts! We went during soft opening and tried a variety of Asian flavors. The interior is small so not a lot of seating, but they had a variety of flavors available & nice vibes. Service was kind and friendly. We got Ube, Black Sesame, Earl Grey, Strawberry Cream, Biscoff, Mango Passion Cream. We thoroughly enjoyed all of them! Very filling, not overly sweet and worth the ~$4 a piece! We did order two drinks: Orange Sangria and Dragon & Rose. I'd recommend getting it at 50% sugar or less. It was kinda too sweet. The drinks also took a while because everyone was ordering them alongside donuts. But otherwise would definitely stop by here again! read more

I came to Gold Bunny Donut close to when they first opened, and I proceeded to go 3 more times that week! I got 3 different varieties of their matcha cream donut; when I spoke to the cashiers, they told me they were still R&Ding different donuts to gauge popularity of recipes. Nonetheless, each variation of the matcha donut was delicious! The cream was so fluffy and light; the donuts I took home I toasted in my airfryer, having the powdered sugar melt into the bun and making it extra crispy and a little caramelized. I also got their ube, passionfruit, apple crisp, and tiramisu donuts. The ube one was my favorite toasted, and Gold Bunny does a great job incorporating the ube flavor into their recipe while maintaining the coveted purple color of ube. The passionfruit donut was sweet and tart, the best version of a choux you could ask for. My partner said the apple pie donut was phenomenal warmed up, perfect portion size. The tiramisu was what you'd expect but not at all disappointing. I also think it's pretty neat that their donut options rotate so you can experience something new every time you go. The place is small but accommodates everything a customer could ask for: wifi, restrooms, some seating, and exceptional service. I actually went so frequently when they first opened that I had the same cashier the first 2-3 times. These girls were so sweet and energetic, and I really appreciated their recommendations because there was a whole lot to choose from. Love their donut and I hope they do well, but I'm so disappointed they discontinued my favorite flavor. Why can't they fill the donuts as ordered instead of having them already filled? I want the SESAME flavor. Mango, ube, oreo, nutella, those I can get from anywhere. But the sesame was the reason I drove 25 mins in Pleasant Hill traffic. This place is so adorable! These are specialty donuts with rotating flavors, I got the crème brûlée flavor but my friends tried a few. We also got boba which was also really yummy. Service was really nice, the person working was so sweet and it's was a fun vibe! There isn't a lot of seating, so if you're in a group larger than 3 or 4 I would recommend getting your donuts to go read more

The ube taro donuts were good. Got tempted into also getting the bacon/chives one for later. No deals going on though and not much to the service/ambiance. I was the only customer at the time. At about $5 pretty expensive too. The Churro donut was about $3 probably because of no filling. read more

I LOVEEEEEEEE their fluffy donuts. It's super soft, and it really is like eating a cloud. My favorite flavor is the ube cream. Each donut is PACKED with lots of creamy filling. It's also not too sweet, which is perfect for the Asian palate, but also, that means I get to eat more donuts in one sitting! The inside is really small with just a few seating areas, so it's definitely more of a take-out vibe. I wouldn't recommend the drinks because they collaborate with Kokee, and Kokee is mid. I'd say the donuts are definitely on the pricey side, but I'm willing to shell out money for good food, always!! read more

I had the taro ube and black sesame donuts and they were amazingly delicious! They're densely packed with light cream filling and it's not too sweet at all.
