5/1/25 First visit late lunch. Located in a very nice but underutilized strip mall at 6900 E Hwy 60. Parking 5/5 The Lot was nearly empty. We parked near the entrance of the Cafe. Atmosphere 5/5 The Cafe decor theme is Arizona Western. Wood and turquoise tone walls decorated with beautiful SW Art. The tables are nice and bring back the 50/60's cafe local businesses advertising on the table too protected by a clear cover. Pretty cool! The Bar is very nicely decorated and its lighting does a nice job of making it pop. Service 4/5 We were greeted immediately and seated anywhere we wanted. Special deal for only customers! We placed Iced Tea orders and perused the menu. I didn't see anything special to try and went with the Jalapeño burger and my wife being an Ignacio UTE will always try the Navajo Taco if on the menu. Between our Tea and Lunch orders there was lengthy periods where our greeter/sever disappeared in the kitchen. We enjoyed an Apache Junction Country Music station playing at a pleasant volume allowing us to have an enjoyable conversation. Food 2/5 Where to begin? Although our order came out comparatively soon (only customers) neither were very warm. My Burger came with cheddar cheese and jalapeños with lettuce, pickles and onion on the side. The burger was big and was cooked medium well vs my request of medium. The cheddar cheese was shredded as in Tacos not typical melted slices. My shredded cheddar was not melted. You can see some started to melt before they pulled it from the microwave. I'm not typically a complainer but it was obvious when I removed the bun to place my lettuce and pickles it wasn't melted allowing most of the Jalapeños to fall off. This was LAZY on the part of the Kitchen, lazy! The burger was just ok. Now the Navajo Taco. The fry-bread was humungous! The fillings of lettuce, seasoned ground beef, beans, black olives and guess what; shredded cheddar cheese oh my made the plate a 10 lb challenge. Unfortunately it too was warm at best and my wife pushed it aside. Final comments The restaurant has tremendous potential and it appears the owner who is retiring hasn't kept his hand on the kitchen for the food to be served like it was. Another employee arrived well into our meal and asked the gentleman who was serving us was it busy today and he said not really. Maybe the locals have moved on to other places as will we which is sad because we could see what it used to be! Eat well my friends, SYOY!

Tyna, our server, was an absolute delight. She was not only on top of it, she was hilarious. The pancake is so big it covers the massive plate it's served on, and adding bananas made it perfect. The hash browns were light and crispy, the sausage gravy is spot on, and my over easy eggs were exactly how I wanted them. Our friend loved his chicken fried chicken and said it really hit the spot. They have great diner coffee. If we're ever out this was again, I'll make sure we come back!

This is a nice little cafe. Walking in we had to wait several minutes before anyone noticed we walked in. There is a full bar if you'd like to indulge in an adult beverage. Menu has a nice variety of options Thursday Special was Prime Rib my son enjoyed his with a baked potato, salad and some garlic toast. I ordered cat fish fillet (pictured) with cornmeal it was very flaky and the cornmeal coating was just enough, not too much. Came with potato of choice, coleslaw (which was great just enough sweetness but not too much) and hush puppies. I'd go back to try their breakfast.

We snagged some breakfast on Fourth of July and super glad we did! Can't wait to go back and try other food. Large menu and close to us. Friendly staff and the breakfast was delicious. New local spot for sure!

What a great spot. Clean and a great menu for breakfast. The chicken Fred steak is literally falling off the plate! The biscuits are homemade and delicious. The food is all great and fresh and served with a smile. A go to spot for locals. Highly recommend!

Beautiful bar with a great selection of beers!

This time I decided to try something else and tried the Slow Roasted Prime Rib French Dip as well as sharing the Grilled Shrimp Cocktail which I had previously and it's always delicious. My friend ordered the Some Like it Hot burger without the bun. The French Dip was the best I ever had - absolutely mouthwatering and what was I thinking of only ordering salad previously! I tasted my friend's burger and it was top notch. The fries were so delicious and I'm one who usually avoids fried food but I have been craving them since. The food is really what speaks to me in this establishment. The atmosphere is that of a sports bar without windows but the main ceiling is pretty high. It's definitely a sports bar with a separate Football Menu. There is usually live music or Trivia which was on the last night I was there. It's a great casual place for Gold Canyon residents/snow birds to gather. The service is always impeccable and you will always be greeted to the door and offered a table. Servers are quite attentive to the patrons.

The food was great. I ordered the apple salad and it was tasty. I'm giving 4 stars because I ordered the affogato for dessert and was surprised it was served the way it was - it was just a scoop of vanilla ice cream with a hole for the espresso. It's like they took the literal definition of an affogato and didn't put any extra thought into it. But it still tasted good enough. There is a parking lot. The location is right next to the park and library, so it's a great place to walk around after eating. Service was good.

But the real draw is supposed to be the food and particularly the amazing fresh ingredients and the super high quality beef burgers right? Well I ordered their "classic double patty burger" - sounds great on the menu - but the thing they served me was just awful. The 80's "Where's the beef!" commercial would have fit perfectly. If there are indeed two patties of beef, they are no more than 1/16" thick - just smashed so thin that two of them together along with the cheese (way too much cheese / burger ratio btw) are about HALF of a Wendy's single at best. Yeah that's right it would take at least 2 of their "doubles" to even be a single patty from a fast food joint. And don't get me started on the bun - it was like 10x more bread than anything else. Super sad. But did it taste good? No. In addition to being all bread, some cheese, and no meat, they went so heavy with the mustard that the whole thing was just a yellow mess. But the $15.00 salad and $6.50 up charge for the farm fresh chicken breast was amazing right? Again sadly no. The greens and veg were pretty fresh, but an uninspiring flat combination - didn't taste bright and were fighting each other the whole time. The stock tahini dressing is okay, but again maybe 5/10 for the salad - which is supposed to be right in their wheelhouse. And the chicken was a joke - MAYBE 80g (that's not much) of chicken breast overcooked and cut in little tiny pieces. Pretty sad showing overall and stupid expensive for what it was. I think the salad and the burger were like $40 before tip. Sad sad sad. Save it - go to In N Out or Wendy's. It's better and way cheaper.

Apple pie was delicious, but $6 for this tiny slice is disappointing.
