I have been here many times when visiting Gold Canyon; however, I usually have the Cobb Salad which is super delicious and meant to share. The portion is huge! This time I decided to try something else and tried the Slow Roasted Prime Rib French Dip as well as sharing the Grilled Shrimp Cocktail which I had previously and it's always delicious. My friend ordered the Some Like it Hot burger without the bun. The French Dip was the best I ever had - absolutely mouthwatering and what was I thinking of only ordering salad previously! I tasted my friend's burger and it was top notch. The fries were so delicious and I'm one who usually avoids fried food but I have been craving them since. The food is really what speaks to me in this establishment. The atmosphere is that of a sports bar without windows but the main ceiling is pretty high. It's definitely a sports bar with a separate Football Menu. There is usually live music or Trivia which was on the last night I was there. It's a great casual place for Gold Canyon residents/snow birds to gather. The service is always impeccable and you will always be greeted to the door and offered a table. Food was amazing. Service was really fast and friendly. Prime rib special was fantastic. Cooked to perfection and the sides were really good. Live in Gold Canyon and decided to try it out and will be going back for sure. When we went here five years ago, this place really surprised us and was very good. We've been back probably 3 more times since and it's been very disappointing every time. This last visit will be the last time I dine here. We went yesterday a little after 3 pm, the place was maybe a 1/4 full. Oyr server was nice enough and took our order fairly quickly. I ordered a Bloody Mary based on it first time dining here, what a dissappointment; putting three green olives on a toothpick is really lame, especially at $12. Our food took forever, well over 40 minutes. At one point I asked our server what was going on, she gave a lame excuse which makes me think someone messed up. None of our burgers came out as ordered; we ordered them medium and they were all well done. They had no flavor, just really not good. So, that's the final straw for me here. read more

First they prime rib sandwich is NOT PRIME RIB Cheap beefsteak at best! We paid 66$ for two sandwiches that sucked and had a long hair in it. It's was served on a half cooked bun (you know...they ones that you FINISH BAKING??) they never finished cooking...so when you dip it it become dough! Second no refill or even checking on us...was to worried about the drinkers and her friends visiting. Got irritated when we stopped her and asked for ranch. Third had to stop and ask for our check and she was irritated and said she would...when she had a few minutes with a tude like we wanted to much. This is after sitting and watching people come in and out getting waited on while we was ignored! We are big tippers...but left her a $1...as a damn point...do BETTER! We work with thousands of people a weekend and get ask the best local places to eat while we faire all day from people coming to visit. My husband had a good Patty melt but I was disappointed by the ahi tuna salad. I asked for soy sauce for the tuna and they didn't have any. Soy sauce is a common side for ahi tuna. The salad greens tasted odd and the vinaigrette wasn't the right flavor for ahi tuna. The service was just okay. After finishing our fantastic hike at Gold Canyon, my husband and I were hungry and found this cute local diner/dive bar. We ordered a few items to share, the Stallion cobb salad with chicken, a cup of the chicken tortilla soup and chicken wings. Our server was incredibly nice and informed us that the kitchen was pretty behind today. She gave us a larger bowl of soup to make sure we weren't "hangry". It was quite delicious! It did take about an hour before the rest of the food arrived, but we passed our time by reading a book together. The Cobb salad was the most impressive dish and definitely more than enough for 2 people to share! I would say it got the job done and satiated our hunger, but it wasn't anything extraordinary. First off, not a strip club! The name suggests otherwise! On my way to the city I found this amazing place!!! Live music on a Friday evening, perfect! Bustling bar and restaurant, yet very attentive servers, check. Let me say I was pleasantly surprised by the cost, portions and service. The vibe/atmosphere was spot on and friendly for anyone, the portions were huge! My husband had a Ruben, and I don't even like corned beef or sauerkraut, but I ate half his sandwich, it was the best sandwich ever! I had the fried zucchini and it's not your average appetizer, think fresh, giant zucchini from the garden. I wish I had taken a picture of the sandwich it was so thick and amazing! read more

Love this place. A saloon with great food and Chef Todd gets creative with his food. However, some of the older staff have an attitude that the customer needs them more than they need you. The younger staff seems to be a lot more friendly than the older gals. The owner Phil seems to be there all the time which is refreshing. His wife and him actually work and are very proactive. Not the best place to go for a single lady. They ignore you unless you're loud and obnoxious. They give you the worst food unless you say something and demand good service. The fish on the fish & chips fell apart into tiny pieces when I picked it up to try to dip it in tarter sauce. They came out dripping with oil. The onion rings woke me up in the middle of the night. They had made stomach acid climb up into my throat. Now, the next morning, my stomach is not doing well. This restaurant allows for their employees to disrespect their customers in a few different ways not only to just the customer but also in front of the owner as well, we came here to get dinner and my boyfriend who is 23 years old asked for a drink but he forgot his ID at home he showed them a picture of his ID and they didn't serve him he took the no as an answer but our waitress decided to tell the whole bar that he was freaking out and calling her a bitch over not serving him witch he in fact did not call anyone a bitch, I then proceeded to ask for the check to pay for the sodas we had gotten when the waitress then told us that we were weird And then she proceeded to rip the menus out from under my boyfriends arm and away from our table, we then left I came back in to talk to the owner and was met by our waitress who brought him down and while walking in front of the owner she said "I'm not gonna be disrespected by a 15 year old" as the owner of a place he should have Put a stop to that real fast but he did not he then proceeded to argue with me and call me a liar for telling him that his employee disrespected us by calling us weird and then his wife came and jumped in as they both continued to argue with me about what had happened because their employee had lied to them about everything that did happen they then proceeded to threaten calling the cops on my boyfriend for trying to order a drink under age again he's 23 I gave up with arguing with them and went to walk out the owner then tried to follow me to my vehicle because apparently I posed as such a threat (I'm 5"2 and 6 months pregnant) this place is horrible, not only for this reason but the other times we have been here to eat we have had horrible service. Food has really gone downhill in the last year. It's also gotten ridiculous in price. Drinks are good and it's always nice to see friends but other than that, I don't plan on going back. The owner is a cool guy and very nice. Just wish he would get better cooks. The food was great when I first moved to the area in 2020. The building is great and apparently there is a resident ghost. They have the same bands often on weekends. Lighting is good and they have tvs to watch sports. read more
