***DINNER MENU REVIEW*** Dinner available 4pm-8pm Friday and Saturday After a great visit for breakfast, I wanted to return to try the dinner side of things. They've advised that they can modify things if requested, so I did just that being that I eat mostly vegetarian. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo without chicken and substitute veggies. It came out delicious and even the staff commented they would have to try it since it looked delicious. For $15 it was a very large portion, and I easily ate it 2-3 times over the weekend. This is a quaint location with a small town feel. Soon they will be offering a Paint and Sip with other activities as well. Lots to come so be sure to check out this location! They even offer delivery for Gold Canyon residents, so be sure to call to see if they can bring a tasty meal to your doorstep.

Gold Canyon has a breakfast and lunch spot again! You need to go! It's got the normal diner-type food but done custom, tasty, and with a friendly ambiance. Service was attentive and fast. My wife had burger done just the way she likes it, and my chili dog was made with fresh, made from scratch chili. I need to come back for breakfast soon and find out how they serve that up. Food is sold mostly a-la-carte, so you'll have to order fries or other sides separately. No worries there--my "small" fries was nice and big. Open 7am to 2pm daily. See you there!

Food was very basic and good. Came out very slowly, but it was Sunday and we were outside in the shade on a beautiful day.

Way understaffed for the amount of people in the restaurant. Waitress had a really bad attitude. Wouldn't be there just for that.

The best Reuben sandwich in town and the cucumber salad was amazing. Great place for visiting and clean.

Best Ruben in town! Must stop in the area, a true home cooked meal. Staff was great, also quiet place to talk or get work done.

Sunday Breakfast Buffet: Pros + Great selection of food that was kept at good temperatures (common buffet concern) + Omelettes made to order and can get eggs to order as well + Coffee carafe left to refill coffee to avoid running out until you consume the whole thing + Stunning golf course views + Slow in July, so a quiet atmosphere for the family to catch up Cons - Parking is hard to find on a Sunday at 9am, likely lots of golfers - Slow in July, so have to wait for staff to notice you to be seated and to be served at the omelette station - Room temperature was warm, but could be due to 84° + 60% humidity Overall, we enjoyed the breakfast and always love an omelette station. Additionally, here is a dinner review as we returned to try dinner later that week. When we entered, we were shocked to see the same server who recognized us. Great to have a friendly face to start our Friday evening catching up with family over a martini, or in my case two. What We Ordered (pictured): - Dirty Vodka Martini: loved all the options for vodka and really enjoyed with Belvedere. - Fish & Chips Friday Special: I tried a piece and a little too breaded for my taste, but my dad throughly enjoyed. He said he'd return again as two large pieces and $14.99 was an excellent price point. - Crispy Wings: My mom said these were okay, but nothing special as she prefers ATL Wings. - Onion Rings: Both my auntie and mom raved about these, and were the highlight of the meal for them. - New Orleans Salmon: A bit pricey, but I enjoyed the burre blanc sauce with the shrimp. Very delicious and great sides served alongside. Not sure a do over for the price point ($35), but very delicious for likely frozen fish. Overall, we were pleased with both meals and I could see us potentially returning as I only live about 8 miles from here.

I had a wedge salad with grilled chicken. The lettuce was fresh/crispy, the chicken was grilled fantastically, and the blue cheese dressing was perfect (not drowning the salad). I find it has a better selection of items versus my usual Bashas' on Crismon in Mesa. They even have a beautiful array of flowers that I enjoyed the floral fragrance. Did someone say stop to smell the roses? Don't mind if I do! Overall, this location has plenty of parking, great food selection, and wonderful service. Check it out if in the area.

Frys on the Trail is 5 minutes farther but well worth the trip. It's always busy but they have plentiful stock, great produce and coupons as well as tons of staff walking around in case you need help. We've lived in Gold Canyon 25 years and my last visit to Bashas was today when I just needed some limes, but not to my surprise that section in the Bashas produce area was completely EMPTY! So I drove the extra 5 minutes to Frys and they were very busy as they typically always are, but they had tons of limes and they were on sale. I had trouble finding my Frys shopping ID on their app but quickly found a very friendly staff member that helped me locate it and then immediately checked me out on a no wait checkout stand. Outstanding, and I'll deal with the extra drive and crowds from now on just to get a better shopping experience.
