I'll admit, I was a little skeptical going in--I assumed they'd recommend pulling the tooth like others had suggested. But instead, he recommended Invisalign. It honestly sounded too good to be true, but I decided to go for it. Now, I have a straight smile--no shark tooth--and while I thought I was happy with my smile before, I had no idea how much better it could be. My teeth are straighter than I ever imagined, and I truly couldn't be happier with the results. What really stood out, though, was the entire experience. Dr. Ferris has clearly created something special with his team. From the moment you walk in, the energy is different--welcoming, upbeat, and genuinely positive. Every single person I interacted with was not only professional, but truly kind and engaging. You never feel rushed, you feel taken care of. The level of customer service is exceptional. They remember you, they communicate clearly, they make the process easy, and somehow turn what you'd normally expect to be a purely clinical, in-and-out appointment into something genuinely enjoyable. The office itself is beautiful--clean, modern, almost spa-like--but it's really the people that make it stand out. The doctors seem to switch between locations during the week, and the location in Goleta was way more convenient for me since I lived in the area as compared to going all the way to downtown Santa Barbara. After taking my braces off, I go to this location for routine check-ups and the staff here is always super friendly. It's so easy to schedule an appointment (just call over phone) and they ask which location is better for you. I personally don't mind either doctor even though my primary carer was Dr. White because I just visit to get my retainer checked. The Goleta location is smaller and doesn't have the cool coffee machine, but it's cozy and you always feel welcomed!

Dr. Jenkins informed me I had a chipped back molar that would require a crown. I tried to talk him out of it. He persisted. Said if I didn't get it taken care of, greater problems may develop. It could be more serious health wise with a greater impact on my pocketbook too. I came to my senses. I made an appointment for Dr. Jenkins to do my crown. It's not a fun process, people, yet necessary. Dr. Jenkins has a wonderful bedside manner, and his top-tier assistant, Miriam, was gentle, encouraging, and skilled. Three days later, the temporary crown popped off! Damn! I immediately called Johnson Family Dental, Goleta. They told me to come on in, which I did. Miriam took great care prepping my molar stub and re-gluing the temporary crown. I get my permanent crown in two weeks:) I couldn't be happier with the TLC I've received from Johnson Family Dental, Goleta, CA.
