We first interacted with Scott a year ago (2025), when we requested a quote for re-plastering and retiling with mini pebbles. He was probably the second or third contractor that we had gotten a quote from. Price-wise, he was in the middle but he was the first contractor who pointed out that our pool had copper piping, which was at least 60 years old and might start failing us. We didn't end up doing the work that year because getting new quotes with the additional scope of plumbing got too overwhelming too close to summer. Come 2026, we got updated quotes for plaster and piping and Scott was once again in the middle price-wise but we liked how knowledgeable he was so hired him. We actually chose him over an acquaintance. What I appreciated most about Scott was how responsive he was. If I had a question, he would text back or call within the hour. When I asked him "can we do X," he wasn't shy about saying, "we COULD but I think we should do Y instead because of Z." He also continued answering my questions, some of which were admittedly stupid (me: "do you provide the pool return directional thingies," him: "they're already installed"), even after I gave him his final check. As much as I praise Scott, this isn't a one-man deal. I also got to interact with his demo team, plumber, plastering team, and service man and they were all positive interactions. I hired a pool contractor to fix a leak for a client, and we decided to replace the tile and they did the absolute worst jib ever! handle and left us. I spent months trying to find somebody to remove the tile and replace it. When I finally found Scott, he made it so easy and he was so knowledgeable that he even suggested that we replastered the pool instead of doing the fiberglass and helped guide us to the right color choice and grout color. Man, I can't even express how amazing these guys are. Scott came originally and gave us a quote. He deserves a ZERO star. Scott is very dishonest, shady and extremely unprofessional. We've had the worst experience hiring him and we regret it so much. We hired him to fix our cracks, after draining the pool the first time around, the problem was NOT resolved. We were still losing so much water. He ended up charging us more than the original agreed amount to change parts that were clearly irrelevant because the problem was still not resolved after that. So after , he came back and drained our pool for the SECOND TIME!!! We ended up paying thousands in water bill and the problem was STILL NOT RESOLVED!!!!! He assured us that he'd pay for the portion of our water bill since he had to drain our pool twice! (For NO REASON!) He stopped responding to our messages once the time came to actually pay for the bill. This is after MONTHS of making stupid excuses why he doesn't have money to pay us for the water bill. When he came he charged me higher amount than normal and I paid him but the leak started again and I have been trying to reach him forever now and he has blocked my phone number. Had a small pool repair issue and needed to check for a leak first to confirm if that's where the trouble stemmed from. Was actually referred to Scott at Good Fella by another pool repair person since they didn't do leak testing. Scott answered the phone immediately. He discussed his process, which was very thorough and involved pressure testing the pipes, as well as dye testing any cracks. Pricing was in line with what I expected. He and an assistant were able to come out in a couple days, even arriving early, and went straight to work. Whole process took about 2 hours. Performed what I thought was above and beyond, since some pipes didn't give direct access, yet he tackled those with ease. He showed me what he was looking for and how his equipment worked.
