The assignments provide you with an opportunity to 'do the job' at all phases of the product life cycle and get feedback/perspective from an experienced PM. The instructor, Derek Tumolo, was a former PM at companies such as Amazon and Blizzard so he comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge. I found it especially helpful that he was able to relate everything we were learning about to real-world examples - it helped to cement the concepts and their applications. I'm a PM who is new to the role and I wanted to learn best practices and methodology. The order of classes essentially walks students through the product lifecycle from an idea to implementation. While this won't necessarily map to a current PM's role on a one-to-one basis, it will provide PMs with an idea of steps they should be taken in order to better define, implement and release products and features. Our instructor, Derek Tumulo was very knowledgeable and I found his experience incredibly helpful. He was able to provide concrete examples of his experience at a few marquee companies he's worked at did things. Honestly, if you were to take this course, I'd suggest taking it from him.

Blueprint checks all of those boxes and goes beyond what I could have expected. For teaching, I was lucky to have Ross Rinehart. He made every class fun and interesting, created a healthy learning environment for students of all backgrounds, and took the time to give detailed feedback to all of my questions even after the course was finished. The curriculum is also very approachable and provides a roadmap for understanding each question type on the LSAT. This progression is greatly enhanced by the weekly trainings and homework problems that are automatically loaded into your account. The material will not come simply by attending the classes but if you trust the process and commit to completing the work you will make tremendous progress. Finally, the platform is phenomenal! It is very easy to track your progress, stay motivated, and get detailed explanations for each question. Having a video breakdown of almost all LSAT games was incredibly helpful when working through problems as well as the detailed explanations provided for each wrong answer choice and why they were incorrect. The platform also has an arbitrary point system that at first seems unnecessary but eventually becomes an excellent motivational tool that helped me stay on track with my studies. I would recommend this class to anyone regardless of whether you choose to do in person or online. My score was improved by over 20 points and I really believe the class is worth it!

This school is wonderful for elementary school grades and that's where they should stop…read more Junior high does not adequately prepare students for high school (one month into high school, we are now living a nightmare). In the entire 8th grade they wrote two essays and there is no feedback loop for corrections. They baby the students due to their learning differences rather than pushing them. Science and history are adequate but math and English are absolutely subpar. I know at least 4 other families who complained about one of the English teachers but the administration acted as though it was a situation unique to us. Irvine unified came to observe my son's class as part of his tri--annual and advised that he had made zero progress in middle school. They also observed the complete disorganization of the teacher who had planned a lesson where the students were to write an email only to realize the students didn't have the ability to send emails. She flailed trying to figure out how to handle the situation. Lack of use of canvas or email is also detrimental to students moving into high school as they are ill prepared. My suggestion is to start your child there young as the OG intervention in elementary is fantastic. But get out by 7th grade if you want your student to have a chance in high school!

I'm writing this from a parent's perspective. My son is in 9th grade and goes to Modus for both ACT…read moreprep (bootcamp this past spring and then again this coming summer) AND college counseling. There are a million places that it is almost overwhelming. I've come to realize that many "hagwans" (learning centers) outright lie about what they can deliver and are totally shady. I liked Modus because Esther and Josephine were down to earth and very realistic. I really liked their approach and genuineness. I realize that not all 9th graders are prepared to take the ACT, but since his math is already advanced, I wanted him to get exposure to the test so he could see what he was in for. I had him go in a take the diagnostic test, which he scored well enough to make it into the spring bootcamp. My son REALLY enjoyed it. He liked learning the strategies and tips that he learned. I registered him for the upcoming summer bootcamp because HE wanted to go. Regarding college counseling with Esther. Again, I realize he is a bit young, but I wanted him to get an idea of what he needs to do. Esther spent time with him one-on-one and was able to pull so much out of him (I'm still amazed at how she was able to do it). She put together an amazing plan for him with some really excellent ideas. They seem to really relate well with students - my son thinks they are pretty cool, which is saying a lot. He went to other places and hated it, so I'm glad he has had a great experience. If you are looking to give your child an academic advantage, but with caring and genuine people, then I highly recommend Modus. UPDATE: My son's test scores improved DRAMATICALLY by attending the Summer ACT Bootcamp. I am extremely pleased with his scores and he really enjoys it, which is important.

His expertise goes beyond what you can get out of any prep book. And I don't think I could've scored as well without his help. I learned to portion my time and he gives special techniques and hints which he developed himself. Also, he was very open to questions and he was very kind and approachable. So don't be afraid to ask questions and I guarantee, he will give you a very personalized experience. Also, my college counselor, Esther really found extracurricular activities for me that I really enjoyed and pertained to my major. She also helped me brainstorm ideas for my essays and personally, my common app essay turned out to be really unique and my personality shined through. And it was very out of the box which colleges really loved. She helped me get into so many great schools like Boston College, Carnegie Mellon University, UCLA, and Georgetown University. Overall, my experience with all of the staff at Modus (it was called Edugroup before) has made my college application process much more enjoyable and less stressful and I think I learned more about myself through this process. After weighing…read moreoptions (Saddleback Online - read on my own, etc.) I decided to take the classes that First Team Real Estate offers. Their website is chock full of info and has a fun aptitude test to see whether you are suited for this type of career. They offer a free Career in Real Estate information session that was extremely informative. No high pressure to take their classes, just lots of good info. I spent a few weeks thinking it over and decided to move forward. There is a fee for the classes. They offer classes twice a week at night or weekend days at most of their locations. There is a Career Counselor that helps you through the process and makes everything very simple. You can start any time, as the classes are cyclical. The instructors have encyclopedic knowledge of the subject matter. The books are provided and lots of handouts, study guides, etc. You can take the classes over and attend study sessions. I would highly recommend these courses from First Team Real Estate. Also, they claim to have a higher pass rate for the exam. We'll see.....:)
