I had a list of things that needed attention and while those issues were addressed Phil worked his ass off to fix a couple of other problems. I cannot say enough kind things about this place! I was up from the Keys having a mini-vacation with my daughter when my car, one of the Hondas with a faulty V6 engine, had a spark plug burn out. I've been dealing with this issue for 18 months because I missed the extended warranty by two weeks and Honda told me "too bad." Anyway, I called Ken's and he fit me in the very next morning. Changed the spark plug on the cylinder I needed and I was back on the road - for an incredibly affordable price! He charged me for the plug and minimally for the work. I've been shopping for a reliable, fairly priced, and honest mechanic for the last 7 years. Knowing nothing about cars, I've struggled with trusting a mechanic to A) not rip me off, and B) do a good job so I don't have to return every other month. The first time I visited Ken, he batted for me against a AAA battery repairmen who didn't want to admit that the cause of my car issues was the AAA battery that I bought only 3 months prior. After nearly an hour of back-and-forth, Ken finally convinced the AAA rep that it was the crappy battery and nothing else. If it wasn't for Ken, I probably would've paid a lot of money to fix something that wasn't broken. Ken didn't charge me for his time, and I got a new battery from AAA (side note: from my and Ken's mechanic experience, don't buy batteries from AAA) Recently, I returned to get something fixed. One of Ken's mechanics, Eddie, was there and gave me lots of cost-saving tips for a future repair (leaking oil), and gave me a fair price on a new alternator. Seriously, I don't know what I would do without Ken and his Crew...I've been going to him for over 14 years! I am a woman so right there I would be an easy victim to ANY car repair place AND in South Florida? I'd be really taken advantage of but they never do... he cuts costs, is honest with everything (and sometimes to a fault that I feel like I'm the one taking advantage of HIM... I know, weird, right??) I first went to Ken's Auto when I was 19. That was a mere 30 years ago!!! I have known many mechanics and they all know I don't use anyone else. Honest and reliable. He and the crew work hard. Sometimes folks need it right away and he does his best. Any mechanic that isn't busy is a shitty one. One stop shop!!! I ordered tires and he was able to put them on. blown engines to oil changes to finding a loose wire in 20 minutes... no charge for loyal customers. I recommended him to a family down on vacation that was having issues with their suburban they drove from Utah. He took care of them and they thought they were UNDER CHARGED!!!
