This store is actually the outlet store. The main store is located in C. Fortaleza 250 San Juan, Puerto Rico 00901, which is right next door. I shopped in both. After touring San Juan while on a shore excursion from the Carnival Celebration, my family and I both took a taxi to nearby diamond/jewlery stores. I had purchased for Mother's Day already a sapphire ring for mom, while we were in the Dominican Republic. I wanted to get her some more things because 1) Mother's Day was a few days away when we returned to Miami and 2) This was a huge trip for us. This was a celebratory trip for her beating Cancer. I came to the Blue Diamond Stores specifically because a special event on the Carnival Celebration mentioned that the Blue Diamond stores carry Glow of the Carribean Blue Topaz jewelry. This type of jewelry is unique because it glows in the dark, if enough light before shined into the stone. So we walked into the outlet store and looked specifically at the Glow of the Carribean Blue Topaz jewelry they had. My mom chose one of the necklaces and since I thought the price was right, I purchased it on the spot. It look absolutely beautiful and I can confirm it does glow. I took pictures of what it looks like before and during glow, check them out. She was ecstatic for the gift; I was happy purchasing it. The salesman I bet was happy too. In all seriousness, he was very helpful showing the different pieces and patient with our questions. All in all, it was a great purchasing experience.

When I reviewed the certificate of authenticity (COA), I noted that the sales price was listed. I called Customer Service about an appraisal (for insurance) and was instructed to use the COA. When I explained that this price would not cover replacement (unless, these are always "on sale"?) she emphasized that they would not provide an appraisal and that I would have to get an appraisal for another jeweler. Not seeing the full retail price on the COA and not being able to obtain an appraisal for the full retail cost seems suspicious. I have bought other jewelry from other Caribbean jewelers and never had a problem obtaining a written appraisal when I asked. Next visit I will avoid this jewelry chain.

We bought a very expensive watch here, and the very next day, while outside, noticed there was a small nick on bezel. Stopped at a watch store who told us it looked like a manufacturers defective and that it was not something that could have been done through wear (only had it a day... what kind of wear could have happened in that short amount of time!!). Recommended we go back to where we purchased it. Went the following day to sister store in Barbados and brought paperwork and watch. They would not provide any customer service except to give us the customer service phone number. Called customer service (at international phone rates!!) and spoke to Rose Ann Mojhar and was told that after spending several thousand dollars there was nothing she could do for us. Ms. Mojhar said we would need to return it (AT OUR EXPENSE) to manufacurer!! She did, however, send us to a boutique store in St. Maarten, where they had the exact watch in stock and to discuss with the manager, Jamal, and he would be able to help us. Needless to say, it couldn't be resolved there because Ms. Mojhar needed to approve it, and after Jamal talked to her, she refused to do so!! SHAME ON YOU, ROSE ANN MOJHAR and JEWELS for such horrendous "customer service"!! There are tons of shops in St. Thomas that have beautiful watches and great customer service ...
