I found this place and tried to call to make sure I could sell my jewelry. They missed my call and returned it which I was impressed by. I had 1 necklace and 2 pieces to sell. He used a hand machine to determine the karats which was quick and easy. After, he weighed the items. Im not sure about price and gold so dont run with my opinion lol. He offered me a price and said it was best that I keep it but I literally had it sitting for a long time and it was pieces so I said why not. Sold gold for the first time and was very happy to find Gold Mill. Yusuf allowed us to take as much time as we need to make our decision and to double check everything. Price was very competitive and he was willing to match the higher price offer we got at another place for certain pieces. Unfortunately, my review of my experience isn't a good one. Very disappointing. I did business with Yusif years ago. He was great, showed me what the gun said, gave me a good price and took out the stones for me to keep. Based on that great experience, I went back. The shop was closed during normal business hours so I called and he explained he had to leave early told me to come back the next day and he would get a little more because of the inconvenience. When I got there, he was there but he handed me off to someone else without saying anything. He had his back to me and said something (what seemed to be about me) and went into a room with someone else. The man who helped me wouldn't take out the gemstones including a diamond chip, and scoffed at the idea like I was his family not his customer. I told him Yusif offered me a little more and he challenged everything I said to the point where I said "I'm not lying to you, ask him". He came back and said ok. He offered me the opportunity to take back what he was buying if I didn't like the terms-he wasn't going to give me back the stones. I should have picked up everything the gold and silver and just left but instead I took the offer as I wasn't feeling well and frankly didn't have the energy to go to another place. Surprised and disappointed at the lack of respect, poor customer service and dismissive demeanor. Won't be back. Won't recommend. Will share experience. read more

I found Abu's shop on yelp. By chance we went there for a diamond. He had one. I shopped all over the bay area. His price and quality of diamond was the best in the bay. I would recommend him. Nice guy. I love my diamond. He also was true to his word. He was able to get the stone set in my ring in less than an hour. Now I need ear rings. About two weeks ago, my wife and I went to the Gold Mill after reading the excellent reviews on Yelp. We are so glad that we did ! We had gone to two other places before to get quotes on some gold jewelries that we no longer needed. This place gave us the highest price and Abu was so friendly and everything was done right in front of us. He carefully examined each piece and sorted them into 14K, 18K and 24K. If I could give this place more stars I would!! I was referred through a friend due to me planning on buying an engagement ring. Although it was the early stages and I was only browsing, the owner Abu was great and very informative. He took his time in answering all my questions and was not pushy to buy a ring right away. He was so kind in taking the time in showing me all my options and how he can customize it. Even though I didnt buy a ring (because I really am not ready) he continued to answer questions and gave me alot of advice. He also stated "If you go to another Jeweler, ask..." and gave me a list of things to ask. So he truly wanted me to get what I was looking for, even if he did not make the sale!!! I didn't buy actual jewelry here, but my 6 yr old son got his watch fixed here. We dropped it off and they said they could do it right away, but because I was in a rush and they were working with other customers, I said I would be back in a couple of days... I didn't even get a ticket or anything, I just left a name. I don't know what I was thinking. I worried, that my watch could be gone or anything.... when we returned a couple days later, the gentleman remembered my son and treated him like a genuine customer. I went to the mall to the CASHFORGOLD stand. They took my neckalace & priced it at $134. I immediately with drew cuz I knew I was getting gyped. So i found Gold Mill via google cuz I searched for refinery Gold places. So i drove there & decided If they at least give me $150, Ill be happy & take the offer. They gave me $250. I said yes & left happily with my money! Plus if you dont like their pricing you can go to another GOLD BUYER just a couple of stores down, it is actually a jewelry store i think that buys gold too. I went to the Gold Mill today and did business with Abu. The area was very crazy with cops today because of a shootout off Washington and Roberts, but Abu kept me calm and inside the store making sure I felt safe and comfortable as he went on to check the weight of my gold jewelry. He was straight up about how he makes money off the gold and how he looks up the price gold is going for at that moment. He calculates the price accordingly.
