He told me what the price was per ounce then immediately i was told that he has to hang up and busy in a very rude tone and demeanor as if i was wasting his time. Great prices, great service and very reasonable premiums on their metals. They are extremely knowledgeable and genuinely (unless completely fooled) care about your questions and curiosity. I could tell from the initial phone-call their service was going to be good. I bought some silver from these guys and got better deals than I would online even with free shipping. Their buy prices are also very fair but more importantly they are honest. I would feel comfortable selling something that I know little to nothing about and feel confident I'd get what it was worth from a customer seller to dealer standpoint. I wouldn't go anywhere else in the SJ area. I would give them 5 stars if they gave out free gold... Pff, at least give free gold. read more

The guy at the front desk was extremely rude. I went in to see if I could sell a piece of jewelry I had and instantly he told me I wasn't going to get much. This was before he even saw the jewelry. He raised his voice slammed down my box that I had the jewelry in and with a disturbing attitude responded "no, I wouldn't even give you anything close to that." These guys will rip you blind if they think you don't know what you have or how much it's worth. I walked in with a Sapphire and Diamond cuff bracelet appraised at 43K. They offered me 1500 for it. They tried to convince me that it was worth only 1500. After I finished laughing in their faces, I walked out. I let them know I would be writing a review of their business. Only fair, right? Bottom line, stay clear of these guys. If enough consumers refuse to do business with these guys, and others like them, we can shut them down. I went in and he decides to raise the price when i walked in the door. "take it or leave it, we don't bargain here". if you say something, you have to mean it. don't jerk us around. My friend had mentioned something too. about his kid going in there to buy some high mintage silver coins from 40's, 50's, 60's. his son returned home and they figured out that he had charged the young boy twice the amount of the going rate of silver at that time. those were just common date bullion coins and he took advantage of the kid who doesn't know any better, but then again, that's their story. anyway, i would look around if I were you. there are other great places to go. small plus was they did have the item in stock. but still, owner needs to get out of the pawn business. read more
