Friendly and quick service at this coffee stop. You can drive through or park at the shopping complex and walk up. They made my latte to order and it was delicious. They have a wide assortment of Toroni syrups to add in and milk alternatives. They also make smoothies. read more

I can't speak to how good the coffee is or not. This review is strictly about the service. This place is extremely slow. I was here a couple of days after Christmas,, and there was only one car in front of me in line. I waited and waited and waited, almost 10 minutes and nothing happening. I just left. Today, I was back in town, I was on Broadway, and so to be fair, I wanted to give them another shot. Again, there was only one car in front of me. At one point, she opened the window, and handed them a drink. It looked like she was making the drinks one at a time. At about the 10 minute mark, I honked my horn to let them know that I was waiting. The lady stuck her head out the window, looked at me, and I politely said, I've been in line almost 10 minutes. She didn't say I'm sorry, she didn't say I'll be right with you,, she just gave me a dirty look, and pulled her head back in the window. Once again, I left. Instead, I went over to jitter bean on Harris across the street from Safeway. There, I was behind three other cars, and even with three cars in front of me, I waited less than 10 minutes. At one point, one of the employees actually came out to the line, asked me what I wanted, took my reusable mug inside and then when I got to the window, my drink was ready. That's the way these places should be doing things. Sorry Gold, Rush, in this case, two strikes and you're out. . There are too many other coffee places in town that I can go to. First off the building design is super cool, that's what caught our eye from the street. But it's not just a cool building, they're roasting up some great coffee too! We ordered a medium and a dark roast coffee and they were both roasty and delicious. The girls behind the counter were cranking out orders for the drive thru line the whole time we were there. The line never stopped! Even though they were busy with the drive thru they still delivered stellar service inside as well. read more

Allow me to save you both time and money. The coffee was nothing special, so there's no gold there. I had no idea it was possible for a drive through to feel awkward in the surrounding environment. I wont go back. I was once a regular weekly customer on my way through town. Their bagels and drinks used to be the best.. Last Friday I drove through because my kid wanted a bagel. I got a plain bagel with cream cheese and GF toast with crem cheese. Waited ten minutes with no other cars at the window, to be charged $17! for them and then got completely cold and untoasted items. Was a frequent customer but after my recent experiences between wrong drinks, overpriced and low quality, I wont go back. read more

The only way this place can improve is if it's sold.. Coffee is overpriced with the root of the problem being poor management, the owners underpay loyal employees and fire/promote all the wrong people to name a few things. Recent "construction" on the building is a major downgrade, it's now just a big sad block of concrete. Also I'm no businessman, but poor business decisions being made all round, merging a coffee shop and dispensary is one of the dumbest ideas ever conceived. On our trip to search for Big Foot we found this amazing place Instead. The cool industrial exterior design caught our eye. So we made a U turn. So glad we did!! We got the Mexican Mocha with oat milk and a Dirty Chai. Also ordered a jalapeño cheddar bagel with peppered Turkey. Everything was fresh and delicious!! The drinks were the perfect balance of flavors. Not overwhelmingly sugary like those chain drinks. We could taste the spices of the Mexican chocolate and the Chai along with the coffee flavor. Our bagels and drinks didn't last long. Gone before we made it out of Eureka!! Might make another Uturn haha read more

I don't know why I had never stopped here before. This place is the best local drive-through coffee shop I have been to. They have a great menu with an excellent selection of breakfast and lunch items. Along with all kinds of yummy drinks. The price is affordable the service ultra friendly, and it is relatively fast for the quality that you receive. This has become my go to as I drive through Eureka. I will admit I patroned the local local big chain establishments prior to finding gold rush. But no longer! I definitely want to support this cool local business that definitely feels like Humboldt. read more

I have been purchasing both coffee and breakfast croissants for years and this is the first time I have come away very disappointed! I ordered my usual turkey croissant with swiss cheese and added Larrupin's sauce topping for $11. The meat was half the serving size and I could barely find the swiss cheese and Larrupin's sauce. I last ordered in the Fall 2024 and the sandwhich was so much better! I know we have hit economically hard times, but this breakfast was NOT worth the cost and was substandard in quality. Needed a Saturday morning pick-me-up before a long drive and decided to try the nearby Gold Rush instead of my usual Dutch Bros. The line was long and fully wrapped around the building, but I wanted to see what the buzz was about. For some reason, the person taking the orders couldn't hear anyone through the speaker and had to come out of the booth to take my order. After a 30 minute wait from pulling in to driving away, I got my iced oat milk latte. It was pretty good, but 30 minutes good? Definitely not. Also, be sure to know if you want one or two shots of espresso before you order. Apparently this is a thing they ask here and expected me to know. Like is two shots more than one shot in price? What's normal in a small? I don't know these things, I just give you the money, you give me the coffee, end of story! Why does ordering coffee feel like a grade school exam? They did have a treat for my dog so that was a little bonus point. Anyways, if the line is wrapped around the building and almost overflowing into PCH, you are better off skipping it. Almost didn't patronize based on the prior reviews but decided to make my own assessment and motored down from Arcata. Approached the experience with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Used drive thru and the barista was cheerful, helpful, and patient. Didn't wait longer than any other drive thru. Drink made to order and I appreciate the 24oz (3shots) size which is not readily available. (And I don't do Starbucks or Dutch bros). I had a black and white mocha and a lox bagel, and both were very good. The service was quick inside. Lots of coffee places around here are drive thru stands, which I don't like. I like time to read the menu and decide, and I don't like waiting in a line of cars. There are 4 small chairs and 2 tiny tables inside. The style is modern. read more

I picked up coffees and breakfast on Sunday morning. As of 2/14/21, they are only doing drive thru service, no indoors. The line seemed long but moved really fast. Staff is very friendly. We got drip coffees, bagel and cream cheese, and the ham and cheese croissant. Coffees were good, standard coffee. They added this adorable red lip stopper for the drinks so they wouldn't spill. Perfect for Valentine's Day! My bagel was toasted with ample cream cheese. The ham and cheese croissant was sizable with lots of cheese and ham. It could be a lunch or big breakfast sized sandwich. My husband and I needed something quick and unique while getting back on the road to head down to Monterey, CA. As soon as we saw they had smoked salmon bagels we had to try it. Both bagels were HEAVENLY. We also got 2 coffees. I don't get through here often, but when I do it's always been a pretty good cup of coffee. This location can be and is usually busy with both walk up and drive through service options. Parking and walking in can actually be faster if it's really busy. Friendly service is the usual here, as it was raining and it wasn't packed so I opted for drive through on my last visit on the way out of town. Total wait time was about 8-9 minutes, and only a little slower than usual. I'm not one of those fancy coffee drinker but my Organic dark roast, black drip 16 Oz was hot freshly brewed and a nice full bodied dark roasted cup of coffee, and what I was expecting. A decent cup of java. I usually go to Gold Rush to get a bagel and coffee but not anymore. The service was absolutely horrible. I tried to call in my order like I usually do but I was told to come in and order there because of busy they were??I drove to Gold Rush and gave the lady my order and got my coffee back cold and the wrong bagel completely. I tried to go in and tell the lady about my order and she told me that I was "disrespectful" for "complaining" about my order when there's a line? I tried to talk to a manager but NOPE.
