Iced Mexican Mocha, Iced Vanilla Latte with coffee cubes, Fourth of July themed cookies, and orange currant scone. Kids said, " cookies were gooooood, but could have been sweeter. Decorations were nice!" Mexican mocha was excellent, perfectly balanced a sweet drink. Vanilla latte was also great, but it was not sweet, honestly just a hint of vanilla. I prefer my lattes this way, but if you are looking for a sweeter latte I would ask for extra syrup or go with the mocha selection they have. Scone was awesome, would order it again. Honestly, there is not much to say, I went to buy bake goods for four consecutive days, and they were all delicious, personally I loved the Cornmeal Mix Berry scone. The service was very good, everyone was very friendly. And from the ambiance, I can't rate because I was only there from only for couple of minutes, but I could see that it is a very clean place. read more

The warmest and friendliest service around. Coffee is great. Limited food (as compared to Ramones nearer the hospital) but very nice baked goods selection. Have the croissant; any of them! Stopped by Ramone's on a mid Saturday morning and the place was bustling with good vibes and comforting energy. I really appreciated the quality and taste of my triple white mocha, served with kindness. The shortbread cookies are also delicious. Even being a Eureka native of many years, I'd never visited this location and I am glad I did. The sheer variety of baked goods was impressive. Will return for another coffee soon. read more

I called two times, both times I talked to someone that said that the person that wanted to talk to me would call me back in a few minutes (just stepped out for a minute they said). Shame on you Ramones. Bought a sandwich that said mustard sauce, onions, tomato and this is what I got. Thick, day old croissant, dry on both sides with the sauce squirt btwn the meat and cheese. Soooo, the croissant was dry af and the sauce dripped down my hand because it wasn't on the bread which would have soaked it in and lent some moisture and flavor to this POS $8.00 sandwich. The onion, tomato is an insult. I try to support local businesses but us locals don't deserve this awful product. read more

I have been living in Eureka for six years and Ramone's has always been my favorite bakery in town. My husband and I always get our birthday cakes and pies from them and we especially love the carrot cake, chocolate silk pie, and cheesecakes. When we were planning our wedding, Ramone's was the only bakery we considered. We worked with Violet and found her to be very helpful and accommodating. We ordered a small carrot cake for us and a variety of cupcakes for our guests. We were very happy with all of the cake/filling/frosting flavors and everyone seemed to enjoy the cupcakes. We especially appreciated the gluten free cupcakes. My mom, who is gluten free, loved them and we thought they were just as good as the other cupcakes. I love Ramone's and I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants delicious desserts for any occasion. read more

The girls that work here always have a disgusted look on their faces and look like they can't be bothered to even fill a cup with coffee much less be polite. The girl with the red haired is so unpleasant that I won't even go in if I see her working. She's absolutely horrible. But the woman there when I went is was so sweet and awesome and even gave me an extra cookie! Older, short blonde hair, super accommodating and kind... she's the one to talk to! read more

This is an incredible bakery that produces top notch baked goods, but I found the service to be slow on my last visit. There was only one couple in front of me, and I was just grabbing a couple of desserts and a bottled water, and it took a good amount of time for me to be helped and then checked out. I picked up a flourless chocolate torte to share with my husband, and it was to die for! It was thick and rich and chocolatey with a bit of raspberry. Ramone's has dropped quite a bit based on my experience. The pastries, especially the cookies, seem dried out and stale. Expensive and not very tasty, sort of like old store bought cookies. The area is sort of sad with an abundance of homeless. read more

The good: Amazing cakes, great to go lunch items, best croissants in town. Beautiful local ingredient made to order restaurant quality food menu The cookies are good but generally dry. The bad: typically slow costumer service and inattentiveness to moving a line and or greeting people. Don't get an iced drink unless you bring your own straw (or don't plan on using one). Ironically they are still using non biodegradable plastic cups but for some reason switched to paper straws which disintegrate and melt and are worthless. Brewed coffee is generally not good if you get it later in the day. Tastes like they never clean their coffee urns. The espresso varies depending on barista but overall it's pretty decent. I usually always get americanos and they're pretty good. I wish more baristas knew or cared how to properly steam milk. I go here almost every day and am a regular. The staff is good at recognizing faces and are pleasant. I just wish they'd pay attention to customers more re than each other most the time. :) read more

Wow!!! We are from Burlington, VT, and came to Ramone's on a friend's recommendation. We ended up here every day while on our trip. The pastries, bread, sandwiches, and coffee were delicious; the berry scones were so soft and fresh; the breakfast sandwiches had perfectly runny yolks with a stiff white; the turmeric muffins/rolls were a spicy treat; and my macchiato was perfectly crafted (thank you, Max). the espresso here is bad. Unsalvageable actually. The coffee is very bad. This is not a coffee shop, it's a bakery. The cake is good. Very good. The sandwiches are often not good, although the soups are usually redeeming. This is more of a bakery than a lunch spot. Which is why you'd think, being a bakery and all, that they'd have divine croissants. They do not. The croissants are not so good. Try the orange currant scone instead. or the honey oat puck thing, that's good too. Also the seasonal pumpkin mousse is yummy. And just be happy there is a nice place to sit to enjoy a scone with a crappy cup of coffee (or, in my case, a flat Americano/espressos which have never shown up once with crema on them since that cute butch boy with the tattoos all over this forearms stopped working there a year ago). You don't go to Ramona's in old town because there is good coffee. You go there because there's nowhere with better coffee to meet up with people or read your book & you don't want to support Starbucks. But wait, if it's after 4. Go to siren song a half block away. We have stopped her a few times for treats and/or lunch, and we had them cater a few cakes for a big party for my parents' anniversary. I've never had the coffee, so I can't speak to those who dislike it (it smells good, which indicates nothing). All the baked goods we've had here are really delicious. Scones, bread, cookies, pies, brownies... you know what, I'm going to stop listing because I'm starting to get hungry. Suffice to say, their baked goods are GREAT. Been to this location several times. The baked goods are done well and I've had good coffee here. Last several times the service has been terrible. Most recently I ordered a mocha and the woman poured me a cup of mocha-java. I guess it's a reasonable mistake but when I corrected her that I wanted my coffee in the style of a mocha latte she looked at me like I was the biggest drag in the world for making her go over to the espresso machine. Also noticed while sitting with my family that several of the patrons appeared to be homeless. One was wrapped up in a blanket eating cereal from a full sized box of cheerios. Stopped at this coffee shop on a road trip while passing through Eureka. My friend was wooed by the cute Northwest charm of the girl behind the counter and ended up ordering just about one of everything on the menu. Their oatmeal date cake was delicious and filling and a steal for just $1.50 and the House blend Ethiopian Sumatra was the best cup of coffee I've had in a while.
