Gold Sprint saw me a few too many times during my Huntsville visit. My Mom's job loves this place and recommended for me to check it out. Parking is easy, the space is cute with plenty of seating, wifi works well, prices are comparable to other coffee shops in the area. Things I tried: El Camino Latte - the habanero syrup adds a nice wake up to the senses Lavender + Honey Latte - One of my favs. I got this one iced and it was simply refreshing. Cloudburst Latte - Had this both hot and iced. My preference is hot. I feel like you taste the bergamot, vanilla and coconut better. Cold seems more one note to me. Signature Matcha - To the point. Nothing to go crazy over. Had iced. Apricot and oat matcha - Preferred this one over the sig. Had iced. Service has been great for me each time. The space provided a nice work area. I am new to the area. I've tried a couple other coffee shops, and this is one of my favorites so far. A lot of seating area, which is hard to come by sometimes at coffee shops. There is also outside seating area and seating in the back outside where some people bring their dogs. This is more of your lively coffee shop, more of a grab coffee with your friends or get items done on your to-do list, not a quiet study cafe. This place is a local favorite. It's a counter service. The line was long, but moved quickly. They are conscious of the planet and saving it. The interior is metal, wood, house plants and a yardsale. I ordered the cold black tea with honeysuckle, it was tasty; sadly, you can not get free refills. The place is made for coffee and meetings. After reading reviews I was excited to try the coffee and experience the aesthetic! The coffee and avocado toast was good but the counter service was one of the worst service experiences I've had in a long time. Awesome coffee shop next to Lowe Mill area! Great vibes here with soft music, people gathered to study/coffee date/hangout. Decor is stunning - live plants everywhere, rugs, funky seating & lots of deer heads homey and a great place to hang. It was busy this Saturday morning which is a great sign. I ordered the Cloudburst Latte which was delicious. They have a breakfast and lunch selection that looked great as well. People brought in books, laptops, etc. They even have a bit of outdoor seating. Beer on tap and live music here often - I'd love to come back for the night scene. 10/10 gem in Huntsville read more

Surprised that I have not written a review of this place yet! My husband and I love it here, and it is likely our favorite coffee shop in the area. It's ALWAYS crowded, so we clearly aren't the only ones who love it. That might actually be the one negative about this place is how packed it usually us. It can be an ordeal to score a good spot to sit. They have diffuse seating, including indoor and outdoor. You have to walk around to find what's open and grab it if/when something does. All of the drinks I have tried here have been great. Their signature matcha is amazing! I prefer it iced. Whenever I want something warm, I'll often try one of their seasonal lattes. Today, I had the cookie butter latte, and it was sooo good. My husband likes a standard vanilla latte. We have tried a few of their food items. We tend to get their sausage biscuit most often. It's pretty small but it's delicious. If you're able to grab a seat and if you're not looking for a quiet shop, this is a good place! It's more for socializing than working/studying. People do still come to focus and get work done though. All in all, a great place! 4.5 stars! read more

Great coffee and friendly customer service! I ordered the Cinnamon Roll Latte and the Jimmy Pesto sandwich . The latte tasted exactly like a cinnamon roll, not too sweet or bitter. During my most recent visit to Huntsville, my sister found this coffee shop for us to grab a late breakfast. This place was packed, but we lucked out and were able to grab a free table. There were a good mix of locals that were young and old, and it was a little loud in there, but you can still manage a relationship. This is a really neat coffee shop. The coffee was good, and the shop had a cool atmosphere. However, there are a couple of reasons this isn't a 5-star review. First of all, the shop was so crowded. You could barely find a place to sit, and I think part of the issue was that there was very little seating, and it was all pretty spread out. They also made our coffee and matcha in to-go containers with no lid, which were very easy to spill(and we were also a little disappointed to not get nicer cups. There was also very little in the way of food options, as the scone I got around 10:30 was their last one and the only other option was hummus and pita bread. The servers were very nice though. I have nothing to complain about when it comes to this coffee shop. I came here for a quick breakfast meeting, we found a comfy seat, it wasn't too loud, and I was on my way. Of course, I also sampled a latte (delightful!) and avocado toast (which is never really bad, but this one was quite good). There wasn't anything to rave about here, like "oh my god you simply MUST get the blueberry muffin"--but maybe there is, and I just haven't found it yet. With that said, I'll be back when I'm in this particular neighborhood. The vibe was friendly, seats were available, and parking was ample. Came here to get my Craft Coffee Passport stamped. I didn't even know this place existed. It's right around the corner from Lowe Mills. Very cute exterior and patio. I love the decor. It's rustic, farmhouse esque with Edison bulbs. The decor is also a lot of bicyclist stuff. Trophies. Etc. I didn't ask about it. They serve snacks, coffees, and some alcohol beverages. It seems they aren't really set up for to go drinks because I was told they didn't have lids for their cups. Cute place to meet up with friends. They use cute glassware if you get your coffee to stay. I tried the dirty chai after it was recommended by the barista. It was pretty good, but I wasn't overly impressed by it. I felt that the size of the coffee for the price wasn't really worth it compared to some of the other craft coffee places Huntsville has to offer. read more

I've included a picture of the motto painted on their door, "Come as you are", cause I like that thinking. On the day I stopped into Gold Sprint I was participating in the Huntsville Craft Coffee Trail, having a drink at each of 10 coffee shops. I believe this was the 9th of the 10 spots and probably into my 9th mile of the the 10 mile walk (you can drive the trail, I chose to walk). Also this was a couple of days ago so I hope to be forgiven for not remembering a lot of details. I seem to recall this being the most hipster of all the shops with a kind of dark industrial vibe. Lots of space to sit within two large rooms and a small outdoor patio. There is a menu of sorts on the wall but nothing appealed to me (I was coffee'd out, not sure what I was seeking!). However, when I was at the register paying for my husband's espresso I spied a different menu with more drink choices. It was there that I found something that appealed to me...I wish I could remember what it was, I'm guessing something with chai & espresso and iced (I never drink iced coffee). My husband and I visited this coffee shop last weekend. It's been a long time since we last went, so it's nice to see they've made some good changes and improvements. Pros - Great location, not far from the Lowe Mill. - Cozy atmosphere - They finally have menus out, and they have a decent selection of food that's available all day.* - Great service - Good coffee with a few interesting flavors to choose from. I got a Vanilla Lavender, and my husband got a Samoa Cookie latte. - Self-serve water** - Open 7 days a week - Indoor and outdoor seating Cons - Not many pastries, maybe a few scones and muffins to choose from, but my husband and I really liked their Banana Nutella muffin. - *My breakfast biscuit sandwich was good but very small. - **I think their self-serve water fountain is a newer addition (at least, I don't recall them having one before), but it's a little high-powered and messy, and you can only get room-temperature water. - Paper cups They're not my favorite coffee shop for eats, but the best features of this coffee shop are their hours and location. I've made two trips to Gold Sprint now. It's an attractive, fun little coffee shop. The interior is nicely decorated, with a variety of seating options and bright, colorful furniture. Coffee and beer are served, with a few limited food options. On my visits, there's been a hummus plate, everything bagels with cream cheese, bacon, egg, and cheese croissants, and a few other breakfast-y, pastry type items. Although I'm not a coffee drinker, my companions are, and they liked their coffees. If you're into Instagramming your food and drink, Gold Spring it a great choice -- they make several unique, beautiful drinks perfect for the 'gram! I've gotten hot chocolate, and it's good, too. Maybe on the milky side for my taste, but definitely enjoyable. I've also ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant. The egg was a touch rubbery, but the bacon was super flavorful and the croissant delightfully crumbly. Some surprisingly good fresh grapes were served on the side. Prices are medium and wait can be a little longer than you'd expect, but you're probably visiting Gold Sprint to hang out a little while anyway, so no big deal. Drinks are usually made correctly and quickly and the prices are reasonable. Food is decent! Sometimes they have wayyyy too loud of music playing. Great Vibes and a Great Cappuccino. I just moved to Huntsville and I'm checking out all of the coffee spots, but I can already tell this is gonna be my favorite spot. This shop is filled with natural light and filled with a variety of house plants. Coupled with the plants, the rest of the decor and furniture makes this place cozy and inviting. I ordered a normal Cappuccino which I use as a benchmark and it was delicious. The espresso and milk were very well balanced in the 6oz drink, which is something that can be hard to find where shops are giving out milky 12oz cappuccinos for the sake of quantity. Came in for an 'Rona early morning date to pick-up coffee before picking up our kids. We initially had trouble getting someone to pick-up the phone to take our order. We erroneously believed that we had to call in our order for pickup and could not go in to order. I finally flagged down someone in the lot who said the phone number worked for them. Called 2x and got an answer. We ordered a Latte, the Signature Matcha Latte and breakfast burritos. All amazing! The breakfast burrito is the best I've tasted outside of California! And it comes with a nice side of salsa. The burrito was so satisfying that I ate half and saved the rest for later. My fourth visit here, always for breakfast. Never a miss. This morning my spouse and I had a sausage biscuit and breakfast burrito. The burrito was freshly prepared and huge. I took half home for breakfast tomorrow. The biscuit was gone. Lattes were excellent. Previously met up here with a group of about eight, we found a table easily where we could sit together and talk. Service always been quite friendly. As many have said, a very calm, comfortable atmosphere. Today we were searching for a table, a friendly young fellow said you're welcome to share this table with me, which we did. Just a bonus . Today was my second visit to Gold Sprint. The food is really well done, presentation, taste, coffee and design of the cafe. The downside is the service. Both times I've had servers who were just plain curmudgeons. I am not sure what's going on there. There wasn't a line, place was busy but not packed, just real surly service. Needs some tweaking or staff customer service training. If someone asks for a coffee without spicy syrup you don't respond snarky and say "yea, that's just a Mocha."
