I am unsure why these problems were not identified or addressed during the inspection process. In addition, I have already had to replace two hot water heaters, both of which were in extremely poor condition. Again, I do not understand why these issues were not noted in the inspection report. I have used your company twice, and I am very disappointed with the quality and thoroughness of the inspection performed on my home. Many of these problems could have been addressed or negotiated with the seller before closing had I been made aware of them. The entire reason I paid for a home inspection prior to purchasing the property was to identify significant issues and avoid unexpected expenses after moving in. Unfortunately, because these concerns were not brought to my attention, I am now responsible for costly repairs that could have been handled before closing. So that's my feedback hopefully this helps for the next person.

Our whole reason for paying for this additional service was to make sure there were no unexpected surprises before purchasing the home. Unfortunately, after moving in and beginning to paint and remove wallpaper, we discovered that the dining room had a significant termite infestation. We are now facing over $4,000 in unexpected costs. When we contacted the company, we were simply told that the termites were "not visible" during the inspection. I understand that some damage can be hidden behind walls or wallpaper, but that is exactly why we paid extra for a professional termite inspection. I would expect a company specializing in termite inspections to have the proper knowledge, tools, or methods to identify signs that an average homeowner may not be able to see. If the inspection is only based on what is visibly noticeable to the naked eye, I do not understand what I paid extra for. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend using another company that can provide a more thorough termite inspection, especially when purchasing an older home. This was exactly the type of costly surprise we were trying to avoid by paying for the additional inspection.

If we asked a question about something, his tone was rather rude. We all were taken back. (We are first time home-buyers and wanted to get a general idea on a couple things) We weren't asking him to fix or quote anything. Just a simple question such as, should this be painted? or would this type of caulk work? Upon completion of his inspection, he walked me through the house and showed me a few areas of concern, and even gave tips and advice on how I could complete some of the repairs on my own. Two years later, I'm in the process of selling the home and still had his report on file to provide to my realtor, showing all the work that had been done on the house. My realtor even commented about how detailed and thorough the report was. The buyers of my current home hired an inspector from a pretty large, well-known home inspection company in the Houston area. It was interesting how their inspector didn't even know how to operate the gas fireplace and advised them that it was broken‍. That's just a small example of life experience vs. mass-produced inspectors, as I recall Tony being the one to show me how to operate the fireplace when I was purchasing the home.
