I have been a fan of this restaurant for years, everywhere I went everyone I spoke to I always said wonderful things about the burgers here. So when I came back to Detroit visiting goodburger was first on the list and highly prioritized. Entered the restaurant, looked better and improved. Went to the counter, was greeted by the cashier, ordered burgers for my and my partner. Instead of fresh fountain I was given a can of diet soda even though their refills used to be free, didn't mind, sat down and started waiting for my food, the person who brought my food literally placed the tray on my table, mumbled few words in the mouth and left, no "enjoy the food" or "let me know if you need anything elsel". Mind you I paid 35 bucks for 2 burgers with 1 side of fries. I was not at the drive through of Mcdonalds. Anyways all of these things can be ignored if the food was upto the standard. The chicken piece inside the burger was over cooked, fries in the burger, pale and no flavor, bacon, smaller then a french fry, store bought cheese like it was slapped on top with zero love. I asked for mayo and it felt like they ran out of mayo and just took the last scoop and smacked it on my burger, kept looking for mayo, couldn't find it. The side of french fries was good. No sauces on the burger either. I am highly disappointed and I hope the management reads this and fixes these issues, as I would love to stay a regular customer and change my review back to 5 star. I couldnt find a list on their menu, so he listed them out for me, and I chose garlic parmesan. Im not sure if they forgot a dry rub or a sauce but there was zero flavor to the wings, plus they were dry. Also, I found a hair in my burger, although it could have been mine. Thats what I had to tell myself anyway to finish my $17 meal. For what they charge, this place is not worth it. The day before I went to anitas kitchen and had endless pita and hummus, a chicken schwarma, and unlimited soda for the same price. Plus no hair. There is potential here but whoevers in charge needs to figure some flavor out quick. Run of the mill place that needs to figure alot of things out (flavor, meal pricing, and sticking to one good food instead of a menu full of mid for a few examples).

Then, I called the store and was immediately sent a text - mid call- along the lines of give your name and order number and we'll give you an estimate... so I replied back "how long is the wait", I was again quoted over an hour. So I asked if I could text my order and just head that way when it's ready and they replied sure. So I ordered the classic (viral) Chicken Caesar Wrap and their Garlic Parm Fries. The place was packed (seating isn't plentiful to begin with), there are tables inside and out but the restaurant itself is on the smaller side. I arrived when they estimated and my food was being bagged after I went to the pick up counter with my information. When I got to the car and opened the box, I immediately noticed a large pile of butter/oil in the corner seeping out, and the sandwich was cold... it didn't have that crispy Parmesan cheese texture I've seen all over TikTok (bread was soft) and the inside was on the soggy side - so it was quite messy to eat. The fries were drenched in an oil or butter mix that after a few bites, my stomach felt heavy. Overall, for the hype and long wait times - I left feeling disappointed but am glad I got to try it while I was in town so I don't keep thinking about this place every time I see a TikTok about it!

I also had a side of french fries and a side of slap sauce. Both the sandwich and fries were carefully made. I could tell that they pride themselves on producing a great food. The Chopped Cheese was full of flavor, the fries we're fried crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside. The flavorful Slap sauce was the perfect accompaniment for both. It's good enough to slather on anything. I plan to stop by the truck soon as I'm out and about. Great value.
