This is the first--and last--time I will be dining at a Golden Chick. I arrived at this location at about 9:40 pm for a late dinner and ordered a 3 piece fried chicken dinner "dining in." Shortly after my food came out, as I was settling in, the employee behind the counter motioned to another employee in the dining room, who came to my table and told me I had THREE minutes left before they closed! I pretty much had to inhale my meal and did not get to enjoy it at all. About the same time this was going on, another customer--of the same ethnicity as the employees--ordered at the counter and was allowed to dine in! Negative 5 if possible in this restaurant. Our 2nd and last visit. The new fish sure looks good on the commercial for golden chick. Here it is in real life. $16 in the trash. We ordered a fish sandwich and a fish meal. Both were nasty.. The corn nuggets are good though. I don't mind waiting for 7 minutes for them to cook it. I wanted it hot and fresh. It was certainly refried (as in leftover then fried again). It was not hot and it was the most disgusting thing ever seen from a restaurant. Not to mention the kid came out to my car with his pants down to his knees. This was gross. When at other locations my meals were always good. This location has disappointed twice now. Food is incredibly greasy. My husband and I ordered cod. We had to soak off what we could from the batter as it was soaked. The crust was so over cooked and hard, even the plastic knife (the only one left in the store) couldn't cut thru it easily. There was more crust than edible fish. My mother-in-laws roast chicken was almost as bad. The only edible item on my plate was okra. Green beans were ok but not great. Iced tea was good. Employees do not wear masks. Will not return. Recommend you don't waste your time or money here. read more

This place is terrible. First they took our order and failed to mention it would be a wait. Fine, we decided we'd prefer fresh food anyway so we waited. Over 5 min later we got our food and low and behold the chicken was not hot and no way just made and the fries super soggy. My wife and I eat at Golden Chick frequently. This place is not in the same league with the Princeton or Mckinney, TX stores. We visited on 11-29-2016. There were 4 or 5 people in the kitchen area. We stood at the counter for almost 15 minutes before someone came up to take my order. The place was not clean inside or out. The rest room was nasty. The food was actually good. There was no self serve ice-cream machine in the dining area. When I asked the clerk, she had to check with someone. There is a soft serve machine in the kitchen, but it was inoperative. The free ice-cream is always a treat at the Chick. Very disappointed! The good food was not enough to balance the sloppy service. I won't go back to this Golden Chick! read more

I ordered at 2:30 in the afternoon, drive thru, app would'nt work again. imagine that, got a 3pc roast, chicken was ok, not really hot and seemed like been sitting out a while, mashed potatoes were cold. I went here about a month ago (7-11-17)and watch the manager at the time basically treat the customers before me with disrespect and talked down to them and all they did was inform her that their order was messed up and then when me and my wife ordered our food she kept talking about them and how difficult they where to us. She was even rude to us just not to the extent she was with them. I actually will never go back. Customer service is your job and if you can't talk to the customer with respect then quit. I had passed this business several times . . . their building doesn't have a lot of curb appeal . . . but, it was a convenient stop and sufficient food for us one day, and we were pleasantly surprised at how fresh, tasty, and fulfilling it was.
