Sides and unless you are lucky are either lukewarm. Batter on the chicken is very thick and not flavorful. Ordered the spicey and frankly poorly thought through All they do is sprinkle the regular with a cayenne pepper. Overall I have no desire to invest in a meal. I went to Golden Chick for the first time yesterday. I am not a fan of the many other fried chicken places in Kerrville as they are too greasy or are too high priced. A friend recommended Golden Chick because of their roasted chicken. Service was friendly and fast and everything looked clean. Food was very good and prices are affordable! I bought a roasted chicken combo dinner. I also had a coupon for 3 free wings, and I chose regular (not spicy). They were just as good! Very crisp and light coating and not greasy . Roll was tasty as well as side salad. Lots of good sides to choose from. I can't decide if I like the roasted or fried chicken better. I'll be back often to get more of both! read more

Love their chicken and their sides. The chicken can be a little greasy at times, but it's not supposed to be a gourmet restaurant after all. You get what you expect. Employees are young and some are more courteous than others. Possibly just some inexperience with the public being shown there. Not really important. So I've had just about every chicken place in Kerrville accept for this one. I thought I'd give this one a try. Upon entering, I was told the drive thru can be tricky because you have to drive up on an incline. For this matter, I chose to dine in inside. They have a wide variety of choices to choose from. The guy working the counter was super nice and helped me make my selection! I was stuck between choosing mashed potatoes or Mac and cheese as a side so I ordered both! After getting my food in a very timely manner, I sat down with my food. I must say that I ordered a four piece of tenders and received about 8. Already to a great start! My favorite side was the mashed potatoes! The gravy was perfect with this mixture!! All I can say was great food and great service. Went to Golden Chick today because I've been there in the past and it was good and reasonable. Today, however, was ridiculous and I won't go again and will recommend that our HOA meetings not pickup chicken there. Went thru drive-thru and that was a big mistake. You don't know what you have in your bag until after you leave. In my case, I was already home close to 5 miles way. The problem with my dinner was I ordered 3 piece of chicken all dark with slaw. I also ordered 2 jalapeños. When I got home, I discovered 3 legs!! No roll or biscuit. Come on guys, I paid over $12.00 for what looked like a kids meal. These legs were not the regular size legs you get from other chicken places in Kerrville but more designed for little hands. Very disappointed and will warn friends and family. Too expensive for what you get when you go to the drive thru!! read more

Do not eat here. Horrible customer service. Ordered 2 chicken strip dinners and 5 extra sauces. They said my wife ordered 50 sauces. They refused to take them back. These were prepared sauces, not cooked food. The employees laughed and the server at the window stated "they should last a long time" as I drove away. I am now laughing, "you will never see another penny of my money, my children's money or my grandchildren's money. Hope you have a good laugh. read more

Awful service. Went In at 9:45 was told we would have to leave the dining area at 10 PM. Why stay open if you are not gonna allow people to finish there meal. Showed up at 9:34pm. I understand they run out of things close to their closing time and was understanding of it upon ordering. Got charged for their spicy sprinkle and never received it when we got home, got charged for 3 large Dr peppers. All of them were completely flat and now that I think about it. The girl filling up the sodas noticed it too and didn't want to go in the back to change out the syrup this close to closing time. Our "FAMILY" sized mash potato was half way filled and rolls were hard to eat. Unacceptable. Again if you could be upfront about things your out of, I could've picked an alternative instead of receiving disappointment and a $47 charge for only half its value. read more

This was my first time at GC and I was very pleasantly surprised! The manager is super nice. I had a very large order and it was filled very promptly and everything was perfect. She took the time to tell me what was in each box as she packed them in bags. The place was very clean and smelled great. I was in and out in 15 minutes! I purchased a 6 pc meal with ranch at 9: 26 or so.9:40 or so I got 4 pc plus a piece and gravy. (Drive through.) The lady that took my order was nice but did not see a single person till I got my order. I said thank you to a youngish man when I got my order and his reply was mumbled and he shut the window. I visited about a week ago and found the food to be good and hot. The service was normal for fast food which was okay with me since I do not need more conversation than necessary. The restaurant is always clean although I did not visit the restroom. The only lacking thing I found was the inadequacy of the parking for not taking large vehicles but was manageable. read more

Usually a good place I really enjoyed but last time I went they served my children and I raw tenders I took them back and they told me it was the kerrville water...
