We are regular customers at this location. For the past 22 years, we eat here for lunch as often as we go to Kerrville. The sandwiches that they serve have evolved over the years but I'm a fan of the original sandwich! I've tried a few of their new items but I always go back to the original. Service is self- service. You order from the counter, pay for it and then wait as they assemble their masterpiece! Oh, don't forget the Cinnabon for dessert! It's so good! As for the ambiance, the inside has good lighting with booths and tables. There is an outside patio if the weather is nice. Overall, I love this location and their food! When I go to Kerrville, it's a good chance I'll eat there for lunch! read more

Looks like Schlotzsky's has joined the other bad food restaurants in Kerrville. There was a time when you could get a good sandwich but now they have changed. The bread is so thin and dry like it was left in the broiler like toast. Edges too hard to eat and very thin. I ordered the deluxe original and it had less on it than the basic. I'm not sure where they got what they call soup but it was like some kind of condensed garbage. The blasting music just iced the cake. Too bad, we wont be back. read more

Got food there today for first time may never go back , sandwich had a tiny little peace of meat and even small cheese . Asked for things like ketchup didn't even get that. I was going there the other night and they blocked off the parking lot 15 minutes before closing time so I called them they said they closed so they could get home earlier. ordered on line to "pick up" at 7PM got there right before 7 and was told they had not "printed out the tickets Thinking that was the last step in the process I was sarcastically told "we don't start to make your order till the pick up time and THATS when the ticket gets printed " Never heard of a system like this. Called corporate and I was told this is NOT the way it is supposed to happen ."Your pick up time with an online order is the time the food should be ready" I quote there was joking and disregard with purposeful ignoring nobody knew what to say except "yea kind wierd" that they did things that way .And by the way mediocre food at best. While their menu boasts of many options, I have found not once but twice they were out of menu options or didn't have them made (cinabons) now I don't mind waiting but it takes the convenience out of the drive thru or a to-go order when you're waiting 15+ minutes just to get your food. Shoutout to employee, Joseph, who made us feel welcome at the counter where we placed the order. The food was delivered to our table in a timely fashion by Joseph. He was observed refilling the tea containers spraying and wiping tables, cleaning glass doors, all the while wearing gloves. This is the slowest Schlotzskys I have EVER been to! The past four times I have waiting nearly 20 minutes in the drive through. I am currently writing this review while sitting in the drive through waiting on my food. One car in front of me and I have been here for 15 minutes. Still haven't made it to the window. Every time I come here and try to order, the drive through girl has me waiting at the speaker for roughly 5 minutes before she takes the order. Another 10 minutes are spent in line. Something MUST change! Management should look into hiring more staff or training their employees in time management and customer service. This problem needs to be addressed! Knowing this Schlotzskys, I will have to continue to wait for any sort of change. I would like to update my review....I went back to this place and I'm STILL disappointed!! I asked for meat and cheese only and I left with meat, cheese and mayo on my sandwich! I can NOT eat mayo! If I wanted it, I would have asked! How hard is it to slap only meat and cheese on a sandwich?!? NOTHING else! Not worth $9.99 and my 19 minutes in the drive thru! Looks like my dogs will be eating this sandwich for dinner! read more

This is my first time to a Schlotzsky's I'm visiting my friend Och from Whittier CA and I got to say the Big beef sandwich is one of the best sandwiched I ever had! I was a bit skeptical about coming here because they only had 3 stars, all the negative reviews were because of the drive thru wait time??? Why do people expect to get gourmet sandwiches within a minute? Go to McDonald's people of your in a hurry! It's been years since I went to a Schlotzsky's and it was back in SC. Had dinner there last night and I'll be honest, made me want to get behind the counter and clean house. All high schoolers with no motivation and no management. Took ages to get food and when my turkey avocado Cobb salad came out, it had no avocado on it. These are some weird ass round awesome sandwiches! I don't know how they prepare the bread, but it comes across as a big tender yet crispy crumpet. Never had the pizza. Hell, never had anything but the turkey club. Why give them the chance to loose a star? $10-$15 per person. I have never had to leave a one star ever, for anyone; however, this experience was just enough to make me never eat with them again. I placed an online order. And that was the only easy part about it, hence the single star (since I cannot leave 0 stars). Not only did my husband wait over 30 minutes for an order that was supposed to be ready within 7 minutes of my placing the order (time expected was noted on my order receipt). When my husband went to pick it up, no one knew anything about the order. The employees were rude. After 20 minutes of waiting and growing more impatient on an order he just had to pick up (can you blame him), he asked if he was ever going to get the order. The employee asked him what was ordered! What?! They said, they would bring it out. Never did. So, after waiting 10-15 more minutes, he asked again, reminding the employee of how long he had been waiting. He was told "that's not our problem". Eventually, he did bring me my order (I was across the street from the restaurant at work). The food was cold, wasn't properly made (I order this item all the time) and they made no apologies or restitution for the extremely poor service and ridiculous inconvenience. Why have online ordering if you don't make the order and get it to the customer in a timely manner? I eat there because while the prices are a bit high, it is convenient to my work and I like the food. After this...I will never be back. read more

Waited in the drive through line behind one truck for seven minutes while the girl taking orders continued to tell them she would be right with them. They were finally allowed to place their order and I pulled up to the speaker only to hear that she would be right with me so I told her that I wasn't waiting as long as the truck in front of me. Silence for a couple of minutes and I informed her that I was ready and she told me again she would be right with me so I waited longer until she was ready to do her job. Placed my order and now we are sitting in the line wondering if we should just drive somewhere else. If you offer a drive through you better place an employee that knows how to do her job. I'm still sitting here.....never again will we run through this drive through. read more
