I love the food and we always get a very helpful and pleasant waitress; and the prices! You can't beat them!!

Well today was a huge disappointment. We paid about $84 plus my wife leaves a $15 tip which was not really deserved in my opinion. The food was underwhelming. Fried chicken was gross. Meatloaf was burnt beyond recognition. Sweet potato mash which is usually good was burnt which I've never seen before in 12 years of coming here. No management. No cheeseburger sliders. To top it off...I got maybe a 4oz. Piece of steak while I watched an employee grab at least 3 steaks that were probably 12oz. a piece. F that. I probably won't come back after spending $ 100 today. I could have went anywhere else and been more satisfied. Seriously. Burger King would have been more satisfying and a whole lot cheaper. F that. I'm done. read more

For two of us with a moderate portion each was $23 compared to $38 for two eating-in. I love this Golden Corral & Grill. Always super busy, so get here early. This is one of my son's favorite places to eat. So many great choices to choose from. I personally love the fried fish. Salad bar is awesome too! The service is always wonderful, which is why this place has been so popular for us to visit. A very casual family friendly atmosphere. My family and I went to Golden Corral in Florence, SC and it turned out horrible. First some of the food was cold then while eating I found hair in my food. First I showed it to our waitress and asked was the manager there. She looked at it and apologized and said she would let the manager know. After 15 minutes no manager came. I saw 2 people come out the kitchen so I went and asked if either one was the manager and the young lady said no and the man name Charles said he was the Lead person and can he help me. I showed him the hair and told him I found that in my food. He tried to explain that it could not have been cooked in the food because it was not greasy and that someone probably was shaking their head and hair fell in the food. He started making up more excuses saying it couldn't have been cooked in the food because the grease is real hot like 360 degrees. I told him to go get the manager. After about 10 minutes she came out and said her name was Rose. I told her about the hair and she proceeded to tell me the exact same words Charles had already said. I asked her did he tell her to say that and she said yes. I told her I wanted half my money back because we were almost finished with our meal. She said she could not give me any money back but she could give me some more chicken. I told her I didn't want that because I can get that off the bar. At this point I was done. She kept saying "that is not hair" so I asked what was it then but she never did say and took it and threw it on the floor. After that we left. That is my last time eating there. We went for breakfast and most of the food on the breakfast bar was burnt or either cold . The only reason I'm rating a three because the waitress and the young lady Melissa that made the omelettes was very courteous. You could see she was passionately dedicated to her job and the omelet was hot and done well. The rest of the food on the bar was not worth the money. My family and I decided to come here since it was quite a few of us and we were in the mood for some down south cooking. I really have to say I absolutely LOVE Golden Corral- as I think they have one of the best buffets around. We came here during the week which was great because it wasn't too crowded. We were greeted by a very nice gentleman who was our waiter (unfortunately I cannot remember his name). Upon walking in, you immediately have to walk pass and pay at the cashier which is pretty standard at any buffet. Once we sat down, we ordered drinks and then everyone was off to pick their meal choices! For the most part, all of the food looked delicious! Since I do not eat pork, it didn't seem like there wasn't a significant amount of choices to eat meat and not eat pork- which is why I didn't give this restaurant 5 stars. I really wanted to try the "New England Clam Chowder" but there was a sign that said it had ham in it- which I could appreciate the heads up. Additionally, some of the food seemed a little cold and looked like it had been sitting for a little while. Although some of these things impacted my rating- the food here by far is still pretty good. I would definitely come back! read more

Hello, I was having dinner the 1st week in June 2024. My waitress & waiter was ok. My food was ok. I noticed that the carrot cake was out. I waited while having dinner for more cake to be put out on dessert bar. After waiting for 15 min I asked waitress it they were out of carrot cake? She was very nice. She went to the back to asked for me. Thank you. (Charles) said give him 5 min. After 10 min, 20 min then 25 I asked my waitress nicely was something wrong? My waitress went again asked (Charles) where were the carrot cake? He laughed, & said he putted it out. We both checked. No cake. Then he took his time set it out on the dessert bar. My waitress could tell that I was Not a happy customer. She wanted to asked the manager if I could take it to go? I said no, for the prices you pay for dinner. Below Expectations We have always enjoyed Golden Corral especially as a place to take our grandkids. The variety made it easy to please. TODAY was a huge disappointment! The menu selection was greatly limited to deep South foods. :P We travel a lot and normally there is consistency in the choices. The chicken pasta was gummy and cold. "Steak" was more like roast beef. Ugh. Flavorless! Brussel Sprouts and Fried fish were the only acceptable dishes. Desserts were a huge letdown. Chocolate from fountain tasted odd, Blackberry pie was just goo as was its crust. Lemon Meringue pie's custard was lumpy. WON'T be back to this G.C. ever again! read more

Absolutely horrible. I don't think I tasted a single good thing here. The macaroni tasted like wet concrete. Actually, now that I think about it, wet concrete is leagues above any food here. As it seems, the chicken noodle soup looks like someone failed No Nut November! The pizza tasted like the "potions" I would make in the bathroom when I was 8, mixing various shampoos and toothpaste bottles. The most horrible of all the Golden Corrals that I have been to. The drinking cups were chipped, wet, and nasty with water spots. I chose to use the carry out cups instead and was charged 50 cents extra for each cup. I told the manager about the situation and ask her for a credit back and told her why, but she didn't care. She said we could use the kids cups instead. I ask her about those of us who are trying to be cautious especially with the Corona Virus and she just didn't care and wasn't very polite at all. Why she is a manager, I don't know! The food at this place is of such poor quality. I didn't enjoy this restaurant. Needs much improvement. Starting with management. I'm not sure how to rate this. I absolutely love GC's carrot cake. Haven't had it in over a year. Yesterday I broke down and picked up a half carrot cake. Well I'm sorry to say they messed up the carrot cake recipe by adding pineapple to it. I am so disappointed. I was ready to crash my diet because of this cake. After I discovered the pineapple in it I've only eaten a small piece because I have to pick the pineapple out. GC what did you do to my favorite cake????? read more

We ate at Golden Corral last Sunday, The food is good it's ok but the sweet iced tea is too SWEET, who made the sweet iced tea and had too much sugar in it? We came to this Golden Corral because we craving the fried chicken and their little sliders. When we got to the buffet they didn't have burgers and they were low on chicken, about 3 thighs left. I asked the cook about the burgers and he said it would be about 5 minutes. He put the burgers on the grill and he let them sit on the grill for 45 minutes before he even started to make the burgers. During the wait I told the waiter a few times that we were waiting on the burgers and he never acknowledged us; his name was Matt. The cook looked at our table several times as if he knew we were waiting on the burgers but continued to let the patties sit while doing other things. What a terrible staff with terrible attitudes. Horrible, went in at about 10:10, after calling first to find out when they stopped the breadkfast bar and was told 11 or 11:30. Eggs were scorched, no bacon, no hash, the mushrooms, all of 3,4 were dried stuck to the pan....which would take at least 30 minutes to stick like that. Sausage gravy was out. Asked about all, told 10 mins or longer. WHAT? I HAVE TO WAIT WHILE MY EGGS ( THAT I COULD PICK OUT OF THE SCORCHED ONES )GET COLD. Asked the omelet man if I could please gave some of his mushrooms and ham and was told NO. After I left I called to speak to the Manger, they went to get him, but I waited and no one came. Service was very good and they did great a great job with social distancing and Covid cleanliness I mean it was all good I can't complain. This was a friend dinner. We went there because the kids wanted to go. The adults felt the food was fresh and hot. The bars were a mess and the building is old and needs renovation. Staff is friendly but you can tell they get a lot of kids that are messy and unsupervised. For the price the presentation could be much better. Kids love the chocolate fountain. read more

To be completely honest, I'm surprised the health inspector hasn't shut this place down. Certain employees apparently only have one set of uniforms that they wear every single day without washing. The back of the restaurant is filthy, the floors apparently are mopped with the grease from the deep friers, and the entire kitchen area needs to be cleaned. I think just about all Golden Corrals are alike. This one is pretty standard. It is new and so far still pretty clean. They keep the bars stocked with fresh food and generally speaking the staff is friendly. I've been here a couple of times in the middle of the week during dinner time and had the same waiter unfortunately. He was friendly but terrible with getting drink refills and clearing plates (which is all they have to do now that you get your own plates and silverware). Beware of the chocolate fountain. It's an awesome idea but I've seen too many little children go up to it unattended and stick their fingers in it. Bleah! read more

Keep driving never stop here. We were traveling and decided to eat in Florence SC. Thought we would try this place. The location at home is fantastic. First thing we noticed all the restaurants in the area were packed. They were not that busy. We thought could be good or bad. It was bad, very bad. The place was filthy, not a clean table in the house. Food all over the floors. I asked a waiter if they had a clean table. He stated they were short handed and cleaned a table for us. The buffet was horrible. Most of the food was gone, empty pans left in the steamers. Some of the food that was left had been there so long, it was burned on the bottom and the pan was black. The desert bar was completely empty with the exception of a dried out chocolate cake. I tried a couple items hoping they were going to replenish the buffet. I couldn't eat the meatloaf or dried out baked potatoes. We were so disgusted we just left without eating. I was going to get a refund, but they were busy apologizing to another customer. $32.00 wasted. We had to stop at another restaurant for dinner. read more

If I could have given this restaurant a big fat 0 star I would. I came to this restaurant last year and I thought it was pretty good . Went back this year and what a horror show. First, they were out of many items. They had the wrong labels over the food they did have. The ice cream machine was broken. The vegetables were cold for the most part. But the worst part was the employees that were in charge of cooking and replacing the food were carrying on and having a great old time fooling around. It really was unbelievable. The waitress staff was excellent and working hard .i don't expect fine dining at the Corral but because of this experience I will never go back again. I am very dissatisfied in the quality of the food. All the deserts were dried out. My fries were cold. My pasta noodles were hard. The pizza was burnt. I was never asked for a refill and all of the workers had poor attitudes. The dishes weren't clean. I asked for a spoon but never got one. Their ice cream machine was out of order as well.
