Man what a nice stop. On the way to the beach and found this place. Way better then any fast food place. The cook was so nice. So much good food. Was really good. Will be our go to stop. We parked in the back with the rv and had plenty of room. Yes it is $17 per person and kids and cheaper. Bring cash. It helps. We had water. Was good.

Went here for lunch on Sunday and it was spectacular. Really nice people that come and talk to you, this is quintessential southern hospitality at its finest. Also the buffet is filled with delicious southern style cooking. Fried okra, mac and cheese, delicious chicken and homemade southern Biscuits and all the good stuff you could think of mmmm. If you're in Hartsville and want some good grub, you have to check this place out, you will not be disappointed I assure you!

Front porch, it also has nice rocking chairs to relax in with full stomach.

Pam's is the best Restaurant in Hartsville. Amazing Country Food! We now go 2-3 times a week. Can't get enough!

Don't eat to much food from the buffet "style" restaurant. If they think you have eating too much you will be asked to leave.

The dressing taste truly homemade, we didn't need to add anything to the greens bc it was well seasoned, the pork/rice was tasty and the Mac/cheese was not missing a beat.

Not swayed by the bad reviews, I wanted to try this place out. It sounded like burgers and shakes…read moremade like five guys. Not entirely true. The first thing I noticed was there were only like 5 massive round tables in the place. I assume they don't get a lot of dine-in customers, but I would expect that could be an issue when they do. I looked at the menu and ordered a small cheeseburger, Cajun fries, and a pineapple shake. I asked for the fries to be "like, extra extra extra crispy" because I hate limp fries everyone seems to be pushing these days. After I ordered, I noticed there was another menu off to the side with a way better deal for the same things I ordered. I would have liked for the guy working the register to automatically fix that for me. I ended up paying around $5 more because I'd never been there before and didn't pay attention. I saw they had Cheerwine and was pretty excited for that, as no one I know of in Ohio has it in a restaurant. Unfortunately, I gave up pop for lent, so I didn't have any. The burger was good and fresh, though tiny. The fries were not crispy enough, but the cook was nice enough to ask if they were fine and I didn't have the heart to tell him no. The shake was fantastic! I wish I could have drank it all, but I was so full from water and the food. These guys deserve a 3, but I gave them a 4 because the cook was super nice.

I tried a deep fried deviled egg for the first time and it was good! My dinner was a prime rib cheese steak and it was good. My son used the bathroom and came out saying it was gross with bugs and cob webs. It was just a good place...nothing special. Prices were pretty good too! One issue...serving appetizers with main course drives me nuts!

But, I can tell you all about the service and encourage you to make good choices in how you decide to have epicurean adventures that also support your local economy. My dining companion & I walked into an uncrowded restaurant with many unclean dining tables. We were then greeted by a hostess coughing into her hand while encouraging us to choose where we wanted to sit. We opted for the bar, in hopes of not experiencing anything touched by the coughing hostess. However, when I politely asked the bartender if she minded wiping our area down...due to the large crumbs sitting in front of my dining companion...she not quite as politely informed me that she had "just wiped it down but would do it again." At that point, I knew it was time to go. Anyone who follows me here knows that I am an avid foodie & supporter of small businesses. However, I do not stay where I am not welcomed & will absolutely not set foot back in this establishment again.

We came here on the recommendation of folks from the RV Superstore, and we were not disappointed…read more Shug's has a main parking lot that gets filled up quick on a Friday night, but we managed to find a spot. They have a nice waiting area inside that allows you to see the sushi master. We were seated at a nice booth, and the restaurant is designed in a way that makes you feel like you're at a smokehouse - there's tin roof structures over the seating area which is pretty neat. The bathrooms are located at the back of the restaurant, but you will have to wait if someone is doing a full face of makeup at the sink because there's live music that night. Our table ordered the kids corn dog, the 16oz ribeye, and the goat cheese salad. While we were waiting on our food, complimentary croissants covered in honey butter arrived to the table. They were flaky and dripping in honey butter, so I ate it with a fork to preserve my hands. The steak comes with two sides, so the side salad promptly arrived after the croissants. The steak was one of the best we've had at a restaurant, and the loaded baked potato was devoured. The corn dog turned out to be corn dog nuggets, which made it easier for my little to cut up and let the steam release. The fries were super crispy but fluffy in the middle. The candied pecan crusted goat cheese salad was exactly that. It looked like a small cheese ball of goat cheese that had been rolled in the candied pecan mixture, and then deep fried. By the time you open the cheese ball of goat cheese and mix it with the rest of the salad, there's not much texture diversity because the croutons were not crunchy. If in the area, I would definitely return but would try a different salad next time.
