This was my first NEGATIVE experience at this location. When I entered the restaurant, there was no staff member at the front to assist customers. We had to wait before anyone acknowledged us. During our visit, our server did not check in to see if my group needed anything and appeared more focused on socializing and assisting customers that were from the same racial group as herself. Over the years I've observed differences in how attention is given to Hispanic Spanish speaking customers by all the staff members, but they never fully neglected other customers like my server did today. As a result, many tables felt overlooked and the service came across as inattentive and unwelcoming. If the roles were reversed, I'm sure my server wouldn't have appreciated it. Respectful and consistent service should be provided to all guests, regardless of background. Additionally, I found it unusual that the server did not introduce herself or include her name on the receipt, which I understand is typically required. Overall, the level of service we received did not meet expectations. NOTE: Next time I'll ask for Josefina. She's the BEST server at this location! read more

This is a restaurant and should look clean and appealing. I was appalled when I entered the dining area. Food I would rate a 3/10. Not a huge selection compared to other locations. I am thoroughly confused. I visited this Golden Corral on 10/06/24, reluctantly because of my husband and mother, and I expected it to be as a ghost town with all the terrible reviews. This place is very busy and there is something for everyone. We each chose different items, some things very good, some things okay, and some things not so good. Overall I think they deserve a better rating than listed. I really didn't want to go to this place, but my husband knows it's my mother's favorite restaurant. The cashiers were pleasant and helpful, our server was absolutely wonderful. And from what we saw they replenished items pretty well. Does it have a modern look? Maybe not. But some of the best hole in the wall restaurants are to die for, and some best looking places I've gone to was a complete waste of money. We were looking for a good restaurant for a Saturday lunch and chose this location. We were a little leery because the reviews were not very good. But we thought we would give it a chance. I am glad we did. This was a great experience for our family of 4. The food was fresh and all stations were fully stocked. The salad was fresh and the dressing was delicious. Price is way too high for the quality of food served. The food had gone so down hill. I have been eating at this location for years, The food and service has always been good, but something has drastically changed over the last year. The food was terrible, even the carrot cake was bad. Their famous dreamy mac and cheese, was mac and something alright. Visiting family in Ft. Worth the family decided to go out to eat at Golden Corral. I looked on Yelp and the only Golden Corral to have decent ratings was this location. Perhaps one of the best Golden Corrals I've been fortunate enough to visit. I also enjoyed watching the owner working hard at many different stations. It says a lot about a restaurant when the boss is not afraid to get their hands dirty. We would love to visit again. UPDATE 04-02-2019 Second visit- Definitely not as inviting as first visit. Host serving drinks and taking payment was very friendly just felt like by the time I found my table management was ready to see us leave. That's what came to my mind when I noticed staff in high gear close mode. I ain't going to lie. I sure do look forward to their dinner sirloin steak. It's 8pm fire for steak is off and grill is being shut down and a few ready cooked steak are sitting in a pan. I notice a fire for steak around 8:30 and more meat is put on the grate. Eight pm is definitely not the best time for this Golden Corral. Food isn't refilled in a timely manner, Ice cream machine was out around 8:30 and cleaned out completely at 8:45. So was the chocolate fountain. We did not get to get some ice cream . Both meat and dessert glass protectors were being sprayed with glass cleaner with food directly under them. I came here today because I noticed they were open. I wasn't disappointed, I don't think I was ever able to use the word "impressed " when referring to Golden Corral. Today is that day for sure.
