The staff here is EXTREMELY RUDE! I was yelled at by an employee behind the grill station about "rules around there" and whatever else she went on about screaming for. So unprofessional. We contacted a manager leaving over the phone because this happened when I was getting my second plate of food, had no appetite after being yelled at like that and left in tears. The manager said he'd "talk" to her. No, unacceptable. Do better. You shouldn't have an employee speaking to your customers like that at all let alone SCREAMING at them. Really disappointing. I've always loved the Corral, but this year was a real disappointment. I was looking forward to a great meal for my birthday. We got there at 3:40, so I knew we were too early for steaks which was fine, because I've always loved their burgers, but the burgers were all gone, and of course the steaks weren't going to even be on the grill for another 20 minutes. The man that appeared to be the manager of the meat department rather dismissively pointed to the chicken and seafood, and walked away. But I came there for beef. After a few minutes, a young man put 4 burgers on the grill, but told me that it would be yet another 10 or fifteen minutes. My wife had her food, so not wanting to wait, I opted for a slab of the pot roast. Which was kind of OK even though it was barely above room temperature. Then I saw they had my favorite pie: Pecan pie! And of course they had what I always look forward to at the Corral: their great carrot cake. So I got a piece of each. The pecan pie was entirely lacking in flavor. Never had that experience. The carrot cake was good in the flavor department, but it was dry, not moist as it always had been in the past. I visited Golden Corral for a school trip and it just going to say it was the worst food I've ever had and I didn't even eat that night and I starved. I had disgusting food like rotten strawberry's rubbery chicken pizza that was so bad that was not even edible and to top it off there was a bug on the toilet seat. Also the workers did not use gloves when serving the food and they were screaming ham very loudly. Also the place was very dirty and to top it all off My friend Liam Janson got food poisoning for a whole week and had to had to miss school because of it. I'm a former employee and all I can say is this place is getting run down by the owner, I've heard customers complain about the food being undercooked in my 8 months being employed, the front desk is bug infested, the place is always short supplied because the owner is cheap, most employee gets no gratitude for their work by higher management, the place is falling apart, the cotton candy machine has been broken for months with no attempt to repair the water drain is garbage. worst experience ever asked when we paid for breakfast for a large box with bacon. the girl waiting on us didn't ask i reminded her. then she went and asked and came back and asked me how many pounds. i said i don't know how many pounds will fill a box just fill it up and weigh it and i will pay u. that is how i have done it every other time... i went back again and was told the manager said it would b 45 minutes too cook bacon. now mind u when we got there there was no bacon out and it empied several times while we were there. i talked to the girl that said she was the manager and it would take 45 minutes to make bacon and again how many pounds. then i asked to speak to her manager and got the owners wife. who was no help at all. then the owner came out with the biggest fairy tale of all. he said they only cook the bacon when it needs to go out. mind u i have seen the big trays of bacon some put out and the rest returned to the back. + if the bacon is only cooked when its out people would have to wait 45 minutes for bacon.i will not b back and someone needs to contact me so i can never get a communication from them again... read more

When a military friend informed me that Golden Corral was giving Vets a free meal for Veteran's Day I was stoked because our closest GC is over a 30 minute drive away, so therefore it's a treat for me to go. Our group of 5 disabled buddies showed up at your Hermitage location in a church van only to be surprised with a bill for over $100 upon entry. After seeing the disappointed looks on everyone's faces I decided to pay the bill so we could eat. During our meal we noticed quite a few other Vets in similar situations. After talking with a few people it became clear that we had all been duped into arriving on the wrong day for our "free" meal. As we loaded our group back into the van, walkers, wheelchairs, and canes in tow; we decided to come back on Monday and repeat the process during the correct time. On Monday the lot of us ventured once again to your Hermitage location in the church van. We arrived slightly after 4pm and were astonished to see a line that extended from your cashiers, through the corral, out the doors, down the entirety of your sidewalk, and spilled into a giant lake of people. After staying there, in near freezing temperatures, it was evident there was no way we were going to be able to be seated by 8pm. Well after 7pm we decided to leave the que because there was still a 50' line of people in front of us. Disgruntled, hungry, cold, and hurting we made our way to your competitors. As we were unloading at the front door of Top's Buffet a few other disabled fellows were getting picked up at the door and asked us if we had been at Golden Corral because of the wait. We explained that yes, we had finally sought refuge elsewhere because it was clear there would be no dinner for us. It's ironic that America has been in 4 wars with Asian countries, and it was an Asian buffet who actually fed us food while Golden Corral fed us lies. We have ate at this Golden Corral as a family many times and have always had a wonderful experience. Good food and great people. Our last visit however wasn't to the usual standard which I will not go into detail as this seemed to be out of the norm for this location. Unacceptable nonetheless. The staff was extremely apologetic and very accommodating as well as the manager who gave the kiddos a pizza to go and some free buffet coupons for future use. I found it to be very heartwarming that they really did care about our experience. I've gone to the Hermitage Golden Corral for years but my last visit was the worst I've had anywhere. I asked for unsweetened ice tea. I got sweet tea with no ice. My partner asked for a rare steak. The who looks new, said it would take quite awhile because he didn't have a rare steak ready. He then tried pushing a well done steak. I got fried chocked and when I got back to my table, I went to take a bite and it had blood leaking out. The waitress was a total joke. The server only came to check on us twice. The restrooms were filthy! They needed attention desperately (there was poop and pee on the seats). Toilet handles to flush were broken.
