The ChopHouse - Warren, Ohio: A Truly Unforgettable Dining Experience From the moment my wife and I stepped into The ChopHouse in Warren, Ohio, we knew we were in for something special. As this was our first time here, the atmosphere immediately wrapped us in a sense of warmth and understated luxury. The lighting was soft and flattering, casting a golden glow across the beautifully arranged dining room. Each table seemed to have its own little world of intimacy, and the décor struck that perfect balance between classic sophistication and modern comfort. The ambiance alone was enough to make the evening feel like a celebration. As we were seated, we took a moment just to soak in the surroundings -- the gentle hum of conversation, the clinking of glasses, the faint aroma of grilled perfection drifting from the kitchen. Everything about the environment was inviting and serene, setting the stage for what turned out to be one of the finest meals we've ever enjoyed. We both ordered the almond-encrusted chicken with cranberry glaze, accompanied by a baked potato and grilled fresh vegetables. The presentation was as beautiful as the flavors that followed -- a stunning balance of color, texture, and aroma. The chicken was cooked to absolute perfection: tender, juicy, and delicately enhanced by the crisp almond crust. The cranberry glaze added a touch of sweetness and brightness that complemented the savory richness of the dish in a way that felt truly inspired. Each bite seemed to reveal a new layer of flavor, proving that the kitchen at The ChopHouse operates at a level of care and craftsmanship that's rare to find. The sides were equally exceptional. The baked potato was fluffy on the inside with that perfect, lightly crisp skin -- the kind that only comes from being cooked just right. The grilled vegetables were fresh, vibrant, and seasoned in a way that let their natural flavors shine through. I also ordered a side of French fries, and I can say without hesitation that they were some of the best I've ever had -- golden, crisp, and full of flavor. It's a simple dish, but when done perfectly, it speaks volumes about the attention to detail that defines a great kitchen. Our server was another highlight of the evening. Though the restaurant was quite busy, she managed every table with incredible grace, professionalism, and genuine warmth. She was attentive without ever being intrusive, and her ability to make us feel personally cared for -- even in the midst of a bustling dining room -- was truly impressive. It's the kind of service that stays with you long after the meal is over. We were so appreciative of her hard work and wonderful attitude that we left her a well-deserved, generous tip. As the evening came to a close, my wife and I both found ourselves lingering a bit longer, not quite ready to leave. There's something rare and wonderful about a restaurant that can make you feel both completely at home and utterly indulged at the same time. The ChopHouse manages to do exactly that -- pairing exquisite food and a gorgeous setting with genuine, heartfelt hospitality. It's not an exaggeration to say that this was one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. Every detail -- from the ambiance to the flavors to the service -- came together in perfect harmony. The ChopHouse in Warren, Ohio has set a new standard for what a truly memorable dinner should be, and we can't wait to return for another evening of culinary delight.

Had dinner while staying at The Grand Resort as it came highly recommended. It did not disappoint! Started with the ahi tuna app and lobster nachos. Both were delicious, but agreed the tuna was a scarce portion size (5 small pieces). The lobster nachos were huge - and covered with all kinds of goodness! Definitely ask what is on them if you order - lots of tomatoes and green olives. I had the lamb lollipops appetizer as my dinner and it was amazing. Some of the best I've ever had and very affordable. Had we not ordered the appetizers... I probably would've went with the full dinner. My husband ordered the lamb shank and the portion size was huge which was great leftover the next day. Overall service and food was fantastic! We'd make the hour drive just to eat there again without the resort accommodations!

We were super excited to try this restaurant as it came highly recommended. We tried a few different things on the menu. The restaurant hostess was very accommodating as they fit us in even though it was a last minute reservation. The restaurant has a nice view of the golf course behind it. Our main concern was we kept looking for our server. The food was ok. Glad we were able to try it.

Everything was amazing!! My table had multiple appetizers lobster rolls, loaded lobster nachos, calamari and mozzarella stick. My salmon was delicious 10/10 and the buttered lemon sauce paired so well with my mash potatoes. The blueberry cheesecake was to die for. Already made plans for another return can't wait to try the cocktails next AMAZING FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE!!!!

I don't know. I've been here lots of times over the years, and it never thrilled me. Don't get me wrong, it's good...but it's not great. The restaurant is nice, as is the décor. It looks like the type of restaurant you would have to dress-up to attend. But there are people coming straight off the golf course to dine here, so there are some shorts, t-shirts, sneakers, and ballcaps. The food is good, but nothing has stood out enough to say "I have to have that again!" The best thing on the menu is actually the Angry Lobster Roll appetizer. That is a must-have. Everything else is just there. For the prices they are charging, these dishes should be outstanding Also, since this restaurant shares their parking lot with the hotel and golf course, it's tough to find a parking spot without a long walk.

menu (as of 02/2024). Interesting how sides work here. There are House sides (comp), Classic sides ($3), or Savory sides ($4). Pretty cool!

This review is for dinner for two at the bar on a Sunday in mid-February. service: Jenna was very professional and accommodating, despite covering the crowded bar and packed tables in the bar. It was dizzying to watch her work that hard! bar: My Bulleit Rye Manhattan (seriously $12! I don't think that was Happy Hour?) was fantastic and with the correct Luxardo cherry. I followed that with a Columbus Brewing Bodhi Double IPA ($6.75 as of 02/2024) and a glass of Kenwood Cab Sav ($9.25). Full bar with very impressive offerings. food: My wife ordered the almond crusted chicken ($22). Unfortunately, the dish appeared covered with a fruit sauce. This is one case where menu descriptions might have guided us to another dish? Jenna took the chicken off our bill without us asking. I had the 8 oz. filet ($48) with their house Chophouse salad and a loaded baked potato. Interesting how sides work here. Steaks and Chef's Specialties come with two sides. There are House sides (complimentary), Classic sides ($3 upcharge), or Savory sides ($4 upcharge). I really liked that innovative set-up. details: The place was packed on a Sunday night. We had reservations, but we snagged seats at the bar. Reservations highly recommended. Plenty of surface parking right outside. We didn't see a dress code, but place is upscale and very nice.

Decided to try the Boomarita which came with classic margarita, mango, watermelon, and blackberry. The blackberry & classic were hits, the mango & watermelon caused a bit of chest burning LOL My Caesar Side Salad was disappointing. Lettuce bits were brown, limp, & just not appealing to the eyes. I ate the good parts, but the rest of it got taken away. My Chimichurri Filet was good. Such a small amount of food but it was cooked how I liked for once & the flavors were nice. First time having chimichurri and I would definitely try it elsewhere! The onion petals weren't satisfactory, the breading came right off and they were greasy :( Steakhouse Mac & Cheese is my favorite dish here but it just didn't seem to hit the same like it did when I had it in the past. Something was missing but I'm not sure what. My date's meal was brought out & taken back. The Asparagus (which is an up charge for a side) was pale green & white. Definitely was not appetizing and I'm not sure why they even felt it was acceptable to send that out to a table if it's not a fresh, dark green color. They made it right afterwards & did not charge us. Some beautiful broccoli was brought out instead, figured we wouldn't try our luck with a second bad batch of asparagus LOL I want to love you, but I just can't at this time.

The problem is, the place was packed and is clearly a very popular restaurant here. To start, the service was great! Everyone was super friendly and fairly attentive. Moving on to food. We shared two appetizers, peppers in oil and fried Zucchini flowers. The peppers were ok but had just a low quality olive oil that made them seem greasy. I've had fried zucchini flowers many times growing up in an Italian household but these were the worst I've ever had. They were overstuffed, over battered, and again, greasy! Not sure why they offer this dish when you can't taste the flowers at all as they are overpowered by everything else. Next, I had Chicken Marsala. I've had chicken Marsala all over the world, have cooked it many times, and I absolutely love the dish. This version was unlike any other version I've ever had with the addition of a ton of peppers. The chicken was cooked properly but the sauce was gloppy, didn't taste like Marsala, and seemed like it was cooked by someone who doesn't understand that the best Italian dishes should be simple and not "overhanded". The chicken parmigiana was the best meal out of everything they made but unfortunately the spaghetti it came with had waaaaay too much sauce and the parmigiana cheese (which we had to ask for) seemed like the low quality stuff you can buy in a jar at the supermarket. I guess the overall impression was poor quality Italian food made with average quality ingredients. If you like Olive Garden, then you'll probably be happy here as it felt like this restaurant from the food to the decor is stuck in the early 80s. One other note - the prices were very reasonable but as many Italian places in the US are, they don't understand that the main principle of Italian food is high quality ingredients combined with simplicity.

Ordered there "famous" Station Square Charred Ribeye and Prime Rib Au Jus and neither of them had any flavor at all. The little bit of juice from the lamb had soaked into the instant mashed potatoes, that are underneath?? it's an appetizer?!? They tasted like paste!!! The most flavorful thing we got was the Ajou sauce which I ordered an extra side of it/paid for the up charge and they were extremely rude about it. It was extremely overpriced and nothing was good!
