I never like to give a bad rating to a restaurant but in this case, this was one of the worst meals I've had. The problem is, the place was packed and is clearly a very popular restaurant here. To start, the service was great! Everyone was super friendly and fairly attentive. Moving on to food. We shared two appetizers, peppers in oil and fried Zucchini flowers. The peppers were ok but had just a low quality olive oil that made them seem greasy. I've had fried zucchini flowers many times growing up in an Italian household but these were the worst I've ever had. They were overstuffed, over battered, and again, greasy! Not sure why they offer this dish when you can't taste the flowers at all as they are overpowered by everything else. Next, I had Chicken Marsala. I've had chicken Marsala all over the world, have cooked it many times, and I absolutely love the dish. This version was unlike any other version I've ever had with the addition of a ton of peppers. The chicken was cooked properly but the sauce was gloppy, didn't taste like Marsala, and seemed like it was cooked by someone who doesn't understand that the best Italian dishes should be simple and not "overhanded". The chicken parmigiana was the best meal out of everything they made but unfortunately the spaghetti it came with had waaaaay too much sauce and the parmigiana cheese (which we had to ask for) seemed like the low quality stuff you can buy in a jar at the supermarket. I guess the overall impression was poor quality Italian food made with average quality ingredients. If you like Olive Garden, then you'll probably be happy here as it felt like this restaurant from the food to the decor is stuck in the early 80s. One other note - the prices were very reasonable but as many Italian places in the US are, they don't understand that the main principle of Italian food is high quality ingredients combined with simplicity. read more

I absolutely wish that, I could give this zero stars. My Husband and I ordered takeout,not once but twice! Both times were absolutely horrendous. Ordered there "famous" Station Square Charred Ribeye and Prime Rib Au Jus and neither of them had any flavor at all. My husband said it tasted like steak from Ponderosa back in the day and he was absolutely right. We also ordered the lamb lollipops that were dry, had absolutely no flavor. The little bit of juice from the lamb had soaked into the instant mashed potatoes,that are underneath?? it's an appetizer?!? They tasted like paste!!! The most flavorful thing we got was the Ajou sauce which I ordered an extra side of it/paid for the up charge and they were extremely rude about it. It was extremely overpriced and nothing was good! We won't be returning. As a young child, I used to eat there a lot with my family, but I see things have changed tremendously. read more

The best Italian food in the the area!! I always recommend Station Square to people coming into NE Ohio and i'm glad I could add it to my yelp after being here multiple times this year! Melanie was our server and she was great. Very generous portions for their price points and delicious cocktails and wines (not pictured: Espresso Martini, Chocolate Martini, Peroni, Jacob's Creek Moscato). The stuffed shrimp is my favorite thing on the menu. I have not gotten the same entree since i've been coming here and still loved every meal. We were traveling and went across the street to Station Square. At first, I thought a restaurant that big couldn't have quality service and food. I was so wrong. We had a fabulous meal. Destiny was a terrific server. We enjoyed our entrees (salmon for me and a steak for my husband). The drinks were very reasonable. The salad was generous. Met friends here on a Wednesday evening for dinner. We've never had a bad meal here. The owner, Ottavio, always prepares wonderful dinners. We started out with appetizers; fried calamari, and crab cakes. Honestly these crab cakes are the best you'll find in the area... jumbo lump crab meat and practically no filler at all! For entrees, Two of us chose the broiled seafood platter. It came with two lobster tails, scallops, shrimp, and a whitefish fillet, and your choice of potato. My friend ordered the Chicken Parmigiana and it came with a side of spaghetti. He really enjoyed his meal. The girls got salads topped with chicken breast. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I cannot say enough good about Station Square. It is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always delicious. The service is always above and beyond (ask for Shelley)! The Station Square Charred Ribeye is my husband's go to, mine, too, when we go for dinner. For lunch, I like the center cut blackened tuna on a bed of their Italian Greens. When in Youngstown, we always come here. Italian food at its best, but low key enough to sit at the bar & drink&have apps or your entrée. The bartender, Dave, was super cool&attentive. My rosé was so good I had 3 glasses(it's a 6hour drive so yeah I deserved it). I had the veal tortellini with red sauce, so much that I actually took some back to our room, I could've used less sauce but that's not a complaint by any means. Nice place just posted gf of 80 on Belmont. Good crowd on a Thursday late afternoon. Comfortable feeling room and bar areas. Our server was great: friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu, and stopped by just the right amount of times. We split an appetizer of fried greens. So delicious! My entree was the Linguine Diablo: spicy sauce with pasta and bits of seafood. The sauce could have been a bit (spicy) hotter, but it was very flavorful. Admittedly I'm a chile head. We were there for birthday celebration. Most items were cold or lukewarm at best. We did not have a great experience, we had a table with 6 people. We were each charged a percentage or table fee for a large party. I don't think that was acceptable at all with the food quality and the food prices they should've been better. Everything about this place brought us back to spper clubs of old. Great drinks, huge menu, great wine selection, and most importantly perfect club ambiance. I will not be going back. The food is poor quality and small portions. We have been placed in the 1/2 tables 3x in a row. I had to put some of the food on the window seal. And yes seating was available in other areas. When the host asked the gentlemen where he should seat us. He answered and pointed to the 1/2 seats. The host asked him again, he then again pointed to 1/2 seats with never look up at us. So disrespectful. I use to enjoy food and atmosphere, but not at all now. Not worth the money or time. Came here to celebrate a couple of birthdays. Heard great things. Our server was a very sweet woman but a little on the where'd she go side of service. Not terrible since we weren't in a hurry but off since it was kind of a slow night. The dining area had some great lighting. Not too dark not too bright. Ok, not as good as last time. Came here with the fam for a birthday dinner. Steaks all around; filets/ribeyes. The good: my steak was tender AF though lacking in seasoning. The fried mozzarella appetizer was mouth watering. Crisp with a great cheese pull, and a glistening, hearty marinara for dipping. Great bread and REAL butter! The bad: quite a bit, actually. Steaks undercooked for three of our party of five. Salads were wilted and looked like they camped in the fridge a day too long. French fries were underwhelming. I asked the server if the eggplant parm was sliced very thin and she said it definitely was not and was very good. It turned out that it was a soggy mess and paper thin and was disguised with a mountain of melted cheese. We were in the area for a festival that was a bust and needed to find a place for dinner. Not familiar with the area turned to reviews online and so glad we took a chance. Never judge book by it's cover because this is prime example. It's definitely a popular spot and I see why. I loved the ambiance and the menu had everything. We tried the crab bisque & stuffed mushrooms to start both delicious. The menu had a little of everything and we had no room for dessert so we brought it home, tiramisu and lemon cake. We went there on early Saturday evening. Reservations were right on time. There were four in our party. Our server was very good and got things started fine. She was very good at keeping our needs taken care of. The dining room was a little loud at first but once the other tables had their food, it was easy to talk if necessary. Everyone in our party was pleased with the preparation and presentation of the food. My choice was the veal parmigiana. It was excellent. The marinara sauce was very tasty. Portions were generous, we all took some of our food home with us. We had a dessert after the meal and it was also good. It was a pleasant evening. If going there on a weekend evening, it would be best to make reservations ahead of time. There were people waiting for tables when we arrived but our reservation got us immediately seated. The setting is so relaxed, the wedding soup I had was the perfect temperature with the proper ingredients, I loved the tiny pieces of chicken, (most places have chunks) and ASHLEY was such a good bartender, knew exactly what I wanted. Lets talk cheese cake. I've been great at abstaining from all sweets and decided to treat myself this fine Friday the 13th. $8.00 for a tiny piece of cheese cake......eight freakin dollars. We attended a special event on the patio here. Beautiful potted herbs surround the railing. Comfortable seating and fairly quiet outside. Buffet was fantastic. Included smoked ribs, brisket, pulled pork, chicken, salmon, collard greens and Mac n cheese (truffle) and garlic mashed. All was very tasty but the brisket was a stand out favorite. Our party of 6 visited this restaurant on December 14 and were promptly seated. Our waitress was very nice and friendly but horrible and was enough to affect our entire visit. While ordering drinks, we also asked for water. Some of our party received water while some of us didn't. Asked for water throughout our meal and never got it. The one's that did receive water asked for refills but never received refills. My son ordered 6 oysters on the shell, but waitress later told him there weren't any oysters but still tried to charge us for them on the bill. Our calamari was overcooked, slightly greasy, and very rubbery. One of those appetizers better left alone, which we did. One person ordered charred steak with vegetables but received rice and told the waitress but she didn't correct it. My wife ordered a chicken entree, but the waitress brought her the wrong order and again not corrected. She brought out the wrong meals for kid in our group and his mother told the waitress the kid would not eat the meal so the waitress corrected. We several times asked for bread when our salads were brought to us which she several times told us she would bring. Finally received the bread 2/3rds through our meals. When the waitress asked if we wanted desserts, I warned the table she might bring us fish frys. We didn't order desserts. Not a good night and runs counter to most the other reviews for this restaurant. Sorry, very expensive for a poor experience. read more
