These bad reviews are so far off! I've been to a few Golden Corrals and this one was by far the cleanest and nicest inside of any I have been too. The service was very friendly and prompt to help us out. We had the lunch buffet on a Saturday and it was all good looking food and a large assortment. I think if I wanted to find a complaint it would be that they lagged a little getting some breakfast stuff out of the way but that's not really a bad thing. I recently met friends here for the buffet. Please note this was the first Golden Corral I have ever visited anywhere. Having read the previous reviews which did not recommend this establishment, I did expect much. However I was really pleased with the quality of the food at the buffet. Everything I tasted was fresh and delicious. There was an amazing variety to choose from. In addition, the restaurant presents like a brand new facility, clean and pristine. I really enjoyed it. In fact my wife and I are going back today. I will update this review later. read more

Where do I start? Oh, I know, the food is garbage. But, for real... garbage. Here's the deal. They trap you. The food is far enough away from the entrance that you can't really see it. All I could see was the chocolate fondue fountain. That looked amazing! More on that in a moment. I started off with a burger(?). It was more of a slider, I guess. I put bacon on it, because bacon. Then I grabbed some broccoli with cheese (can't mess up broccoli and cheese, right?). I got a piece of catfish, a couple fried ravioli, some fake crab salad stuff, and a bowl of chicken and dumplings. Yum, right!? Wrong! No! The first bite of the burger was rough. The bread was so hard I could barely get my teeth through. I just ate the bacon. Broccoli and cheese was next. That has to be good. Nope. Garbage. It was cold. Like ice cold. Okay, so the catfish must be good. Wrong again. It was mushy. Catfish shouldn't be mushy. Fried ravioli was just okay, fake crab stuff was decent. Chicken and dumplings were quit your job and move as far away as possible disgusting. Decided I'd hit up dessert to make up for the $11 I felt like I'd lost on lunch. I got banana pudding, pecan pie, and this chocolate muffin thing with icing on top. I was going to hit up that fancy chocolate fountain, but it turns out they were out of strawberries. So it was basically just decorative. The pecan pie was literally out of a box and they didn't even try to hide it. So it was better than expected. The banana pudding was spot on. I actually really like it. The muffin thing was so gross I don't even know what to say. The icing had sat there so long that it had hardened. Like rock candy hard. I couldn't eat it. We got a to go order. We ordered a Cobb salad for $10 and they didn't add the ham or the blue cheese which made for a pitiful main dish salad. I paid $1 extra for bacon bits which they did add. We ordered a dozen rolls with honey butter and they gave us zero butter even though I specifically asked for it. The main reason we ordered from here was specifically to get the rolls with honey butter. Nobody ate the dry rolls so they all went to waste. We ordered the meatloaf meal for $10 and the meatloaf portion was laughable and the mashed potatoes tasted like fish. They also didn't give us our chocolate chip cookies. The new, big "go to" place for breakfast was an utter disappointment. The food bar was unkempt. There was NO regular (w/o sausage or chipped beef) gravy. I asked three servers over nearly 15 minutes before some was brought out. However, there were no biscuits. None. For the 30 minutes I was there ... Who serves breakfast in the South on a Sunday morning w/o biscuits! The food I did manage to snatch was very bland, dried out and pretty much the worst I have had in Jonesboro. I wouldn't go back to Golden Corral if they offered me a free buffet! read more

Today was my first (and last) visit. The service was bad. We waited forever on drinks and never received silverware. We had to flag down another server to get some. Food was not good. The best thing we ate was the salad and meatloaf, oddly enough and they were just average. The stuffing was disgusting. Steak was about 80% fat, and 20% lean. Very disappointing. read more

We stopped here because we love Golden Corral, and this location is very new. Well we waited in line for 35 minutes!! When we finally found a place to sit, I'd say 85% percent of everything we wanted was empty !!! I was extremely pissed, I told my husband let's go get our money back and leave, but the line was all the way out into the parking lot !! And we didn't want the hassle. So we took turns waiting and waiting for food to be replenished. What a joke. This was by far the worst Golden Corral we have EVER been too !! Never ever again !!! read more

The servers were not kind and they started cleaning up and removing food from the buffet an hour before close... when people were still eating. Not only that... We made the mistake of trying this restaurant for the very first time. Our family of six paid almost $100 to eat there. An employee working the salad bar was very rude to my wife, because my wife asked that she not put the parts of the salad called the heart on her plate, because they were hard and bitter tasting. The young woman was rude saying its still lettuce. The young woman then picked two tiny pieces of spinach and dropped them on her plate. all the while smirking. My wife then refused the plate and walked back to our table. I went over to the salad bar and asked to see the manager. The same girl said "why?" to which I replied because I'm a customer and I want to see them. After speaking with the manager he profusely apologized and my wife was able to get served by someone else. All should have been settled except that after we returned to our table, the rude employee came out from the back of the restaurant and sat several tables behind us with our server and started talking, laughing and staring at us. When my wife got up to go find the manager again, the employee jumped up and ran back to the kitchen. We did not finish our meal. We were offered a partial refund which we declined and told the manager we would never return. I have managed a restaurant before and had it been me in his position, I would have had the young lady immediately clock out and go home. We were told her name was Michelle. In this day and time with food tampering being so rampant, why would a manager allow such behavior to go unchecked??? We had just gotten our plates and had barely touched our food before we decided we had wasted our time and money. I do not recommend this restaurant and will never return. read more

When arriving to the restaurant, the employees seem very nice and polite. But as you enter more into the diner the employees are standing around; not filling the buffet trays. Plates were nicely stocked, and same with bowels. The experience was an okay experience. But coming back? Not sure. They for sure need to tell their employees to check up on their customers more. We had to wait an hour and a half just for our drinks to be brought to the table. They rarely came and gave us service. Also the food choices are very poor. Needs more choices and actually have them choices to pick from. Also frequently updated labels would work. read more

Took my husband out for lunch on his birthday today. Before going, I read several of the not-so-promising reviews. Decided to go anyway. I was pleasantly surprised. I had pot roast which was so tender I almost didn't have to chew it. I had fried chicken which was also very tasty and very moist. I had the meatloaf which was also tasty. I was a little leery about the mashed potatoes, but they were delicious and I went back for seconds topped with brown gravy. The green beans were disappointing, but the corn was good. I love fried fish, so of course, I had to try it. The fish was crisp on the outside and moist on the inside. The tarter sauce was the best I've ever tasted. I need that recipe! I don't usually get a salad, but wanted to try a small salad. The lettuce was very disappointing. It was old looking and brown. I did NOT get a salad today, though the salad toppings looked great. For dessert, I had a marshmallow and strawberry dipped in chocolate. The strawberry was the sweetest I've had in a long time. As I got to the dessert bar, they were bringing out a French chocolate pie, so I got a piece. It was delicious and fresh. The cantaloupe was good too. Overall, we enjoyed our visit to this Jonesboro Golden Corral location. Our waitress was great to us even though she was very busy with lots of other customers besides us. She checked on us as often as she could and we appreciated it! Good job! We got the senior discount which was nice too! read more

I had to edit my review on it cause at the entrance was lacking staff but when I finally sat down and tasted the food and I was blown away at how good this buffet was it's genuinely better than most buffet restaurant the problem I had was the misplacement of customers I saw customers sitting alone at a 4 person table while a party of 4 was waiting for a long time but overall a pleasant evening read more

Cost was roughly $40 the food was mediocre at best the best things that were there where the steak and the mashed potatoes and those were pretty good but not great the price is way too much for the food that is disgusting and too bland. Would not recommend going there read more
