Every pet parent wants someone truly reliable whom they can trust, and Sylvia is absolutely that kind of person. She is not just genuinely knowledgeable and experienced, she is also just a kind, wonderful person who is easy to work with. I can't express how reassuring it feels to be out doing something you enjoy, but then also partly worried about your furry friends, and then to get a text update from Sylvia with photos (like the ones attached here) showing your beloved pets fed, medicated, and resting peacefully. They cooked him his own food, made a homemade garlic tincture for flea-prevention, and took him to a homeopathic vet. They made me feel like a bad dog-owner in comparison (I share my steaks, let them sleep on my bed and walk them all the time, so I'm not all bad...) Anyway, one day they told me they were starting a dog-walking business and I thought, "There were never more perfect people made to be in the pet caring business." I immediately signed up. (I even used to work at a vet, so for me to trust someone with my animals is huge!). They are the most wonderful pet sitters I have ever come across. My dogs, Ethel and Chiquita, are 10 and 8, respectively, and I have never entrusted them to anyone in the entire time I've had them (which is their whole lives). But Rise and Bob care for them better than I do. A few times I've had to go out of town and they've visited my girls at the kennel to take them for walks. They also are very observant and let me know when one of my dogs had worms (and I used to work at a vet!! I should have been the one to notice!). Anyway, I can't recommend these two highly enough. They are just awesome.

The staff are remarkable! They always work with me, as my schedule changes week-to-week. Alis gets personal attention (and lots of affection) from everyone there and she has supervised play with her friends throughout the day; I get pictures during the day showing her activities and occasional walks to the park. Every dog there gets personal recognition and mental stimulation from the staff. It really gives me comfort to know that she is expertly taken care of and always having fun! The amenities are beautiful and ALWAYS clean... no odors or messes anywhere, EVER! Alis has memorized the drive there and whines with excitement in the car ride from about 3 blocks away, when we are on our way in the morning. When I pick her up, it's a different story... she NEVER wants to leave to go home with me. When she finally gets in the car, she drops and relaxes; she is always so happy and tired! I truly, highly recommend "Home Away from Home" for your peace of mind, and for safe-play for our beloved furry friends!
