I recently started coming here with my mom and so far the food is good but I just ordered and I used the top lid as a plate and I ended up finding some sort of black molding of some sort. This is really disappointing considering the fact that my mom likes this place especially their coconut smoothie. I really hope this isn't black molding or anything and it mights been something of the black container. I also wiped the part where the lid was on and the black stuff came off on the paper towel.

The rice was delish The chicken wings were over battered, had to peel the coating off to eat them. Large portions of rice.

Wow!! We were so impressed that there was such good Chinese food near us that we had no idea about! ready really fast (they said 10 mins, took 10 mins), it is very clean and orderly when you go to pick it up, prices are reasonable, and they packed everything in really nice Tupperware with extra utensils. Food wasn't the best I had but definitely satisfied the cravings and portions do not skimp at all. The fried rice gave SO many shrimp and the veggies were all good too.

Bourbon chicken lunch special.... so much food!

I've only been here 1x for a pickup order, but if I were working in the area again I would definitely be back. I ordered the lunch special with the Bourbon chicken, and it came with so much of the entree, rice,an egg roll, and a pop. Everything was delicious, especially the bourbon sauce. Nice chunks of chicken that were juicy, not dry. The price was reasonable, under $10. I love shrimp, but if you're not a fan ask for a different fried rice because that's what came in mine. I walked, but it seemed like they had plenty of street parking.

Portion size was way too small for what I paid for. I paid 16 for this and received a portion the size of my hand. I don't even have big hands I wear a size medium. Chicken is tasteless and somehow dry. Upon opening the container a foul smell came from my food.eggroll was pretty good rice was good.

If it were not for a 'Golden Dragon' brochure being placed inside my mail box I would not have known it moved to the area. With 'King Wok Gourmet Asian' being two-hundred meters away from it and typically where I order my Chinese food; part of me did not want to do business with this restaurant. Now, the other half of me considered using it more for ordering delivery which I rarely take advantage of. Furthermore, it wasn't until driving enroute from work to my apartment building one afternoon I considered picking up takeout at this restaurant. With it being new; it was half set-up with only one table near the window, and a few bar stools under a long table along the wall. I would hope that in the future they would add more furniture inside; maybe a television to give it more of a dine-in feel verses takeout which King Wok offers. For the first time I ordered beef lo mein to try something other than my typical choices of chicken fried rice, sweet & sour chicken or sesame chicken. My food came in a very timely manner which many Chinese restaurants excel at. For that, Chinese restaurants are always second on my list to visit when I want my food served quickly. The beef lo mein tasted nothing less than great, but tasted better the next morning after I heated it up in my microwave and ate it all. On a last note, I do wish to see this restaurant grow, but it will have to bring a lot more than what it consists of at this moment in order to compete with King Wok Gourmet Asian, which has that dine-in appeal and already established on this side of town. It has that edge over Golden Dragon, but I do applaud whomever sent out brochures introducing it to the neighborhood. ~Blessings~ Thomas G

Originally on a mission for a smoothie, I was greeted by a friendly staff member and a much larger menu than expected. There is a slew of inventive food that all looked amazing, ranging from sandwiches to noodles and sushi. I opted for the Maca Picchu smoothie, a mini cranberry muffin, and an empanada. I was blown away by how flavorful everything was! The smoothie was creamy, lightly sweet, and very refreshing. The mini muffin tasted like a firmer version of edible cookie dough and was a perfect sweet treat. The empanada was not crunchy, but it was flavorful and the vegan cashew cream was incredibly smooth. I was really impressed not only by the taste of the food, but the texture and presentation as well. There is a level of detail and care that is apparent and really exceptional. Consider me a fan- I'm already looking forward to not only the next visit, but to bring more plant-based meals into my kitchen as well!

A Sweet Surprise on Broadway…read more Thanks to Yelp for the invite to check out Bambu at 5010 N Broadway. My family and I stopped by for drinks, and it turned into a fun little discovery. The space itself is quaint and tiny, but nicely decorated. Seating for maybe six small groups, so this is really a grab-and-go spot rather than a place to settle in. I liked that they use self-service kiosks to order. It makes browsing the full menu easy and takes the pressure off when you're deciding with a group. Now, the drinks. This is where Bambu earns its stripes. Expect bold, unusual flavor combinations, and a generous helping of jelly mixed right into the drink. It's not your average boba shop. Every sip felt like a little experiment, and honestly, that's what made it memorable. A couple of things to know before you go. Prices run about 20 percent higher than similar spots nearby, so budget accordingly. And parking is genuinely tough. My advice: park a block away and walk over, or swing by if you're already strolling the neighborhood. Whatever you do, don't double park. Broadway moves fast here, and cars zoom by constantly. Would I go back? Absolutely. Bambu is worth the walk for something a little different. Give me a thumbs up if this gave you a little more insight

The first thing I noticed was how cute the space is. It has a cozy café vibe with plenty of seating, soft pillows, and even an overflow area in the back. The warm brown tones throughout the space make it feel inviting and comfortable, perfect for relaxing or getting some work done. I also have to give a big shoutout to the staff. Everyone was incredibly accommodating and very knowledgeable about the menu. It was my first time trying this style of food, but my sister (who was visiting from El Paso) was more familiar and helped guide us a bit. We ordered rice crêpe and shared an açaí bowl, and I was genuinely blown away by both. I got the tofu rice crêpe, which were perfectly seasoned, honestly one of the most delicious things I've had all month. I practically inhaled them. As for the açaí bowl, I had mine with strawberries and dragon fruit, and it felt like a full-on discovery. I couldn't believe something dairy-free could taste that good. It was refreshing, flavorful, and honestly a bit of a revelation, I can't wait to have another one. Overall, my first experience at Bru Chicago was excellent. I have no complaints. I'll definitely be back, recommending it to friends, and making it a go-to spot for lunch or getting work done. An easy 5 out of 5 stars.
