The change in ownership was much needed. The owners are much nicer and their food is so much better. I do recommend this place but still prefer China House down the street. Ordered here "to pick up" recently. Efficient order taker on the phone which is what we did. On line ordering is available too. Hot and sour soup, egg rolls, steamed pork dumplings, a small House Lo Mein and a small boneless ribs. Lots of food to start but we figured there'll be leftovers. The soup was properly vinegared and mildly spiced, the egg rolls crunchy, not greasy at all, full of good bits , the boneless ribs well cooked (not burnt) and flavorful. The dumplings tender and satisfying. We followed this with a small chicken chow menu, lemon chicken and Szechuan Tofu. All good choices. The food came with rice, of course, fortune cookies and some sauces. To sum up - a good meal, well priced and well prepared, from a neighborhood take out place. These times it's a good thing. There's Chinese food you go out for, and Chinese food you order because they deliver. We've used G.D. As the latter for years, and it's been fine. However, when I ordered recently, it was just terrible; everything was different, cheaper and worse, from the egg rolls to the entrees. It's rare that we just throw out food, and that's what we did this time. Never again, and I'm bummed about it, but it was that bad. read more

I stopped by to order soup and an egg roll. The place is very Covid safe and you are divided by a plastic barrier, from the staff. I ordered hot and sour soup and the special wonton chicken noodle soup plus an egg roll. Soup was piping hot and very good. Egg roll was very crisp and delicious. I noticed they have lunch specials that looked very good. I will have to stop in again and try. read more

We understand cost of ingredients is going up, and accept price increases, but when you diminish the quality of the food to offset, that will lead to dissatisfied customers. Previously chicken pieces were larger and less batter, but today it was tiny piece of diced chicken with thicker batter. Very disappointing dish which used to be decent. read more

They gave the wrong address to the delivery guy for my order and declined to send it again since it was delivered already. I offered to pick it up but they said I had to paid for it again and didn't offer any other solution even when it was their mistake. I lost $40 and after an accident just made my day even worse. On Valentine's Day they kept us waiting more than hour , as we sit there I see people came after us picking up their order and go , I asked them twice they keep saying few minutes, finally I asked them to cancel the order, the lady said just a minute and checked just to see they didn't even started yet. Friends ordered Golden Dragon for dinner the other night while I was over. We got an array of food including appetizers. Although delivery took FOREVER it was worth the wait. Portions were good and everything was delicious. I had steamed dumplings, crab Rangoons and sesame chicken. All were cooked well and I would definitely return for another meal. I was overall satisfied with this Chinese restaurant. Golden Dragon is very close to my former favorite place (which has since gone out of business). I know that it will be hard to beat them but this is a good alternative. The food was fresh(they just reopened from covid closure). They offer a variety of fried rices, noodles and chef dishes. I consider their food a step up from your standard Chinese takeout place. Their dumplings were tasty, and thankfully made with a nice thin dough. Unfortunately the filling tasted awfully similar to their wontons...but thankfully they were seasoned nicely. I ordered a steamed chicken and eggplant entree and they were not bothered by my request. Their wonton soup was good but the broth lacked much taste. It wasn't bad, but just a bit flat. Their egg rolls were very good and not super greasy. Again it's their first day back so I'm wondering how they'll taste at the end of a full week and if fryer oil gets changed regularly. I was surprised to see so many negative reviews considering their food was tasty, service was prompt and kind. Quick delivery, very surprised when doorbell rang. Very pleased too. (I was told 45min for delivery- food came within 15-20min-yea)- I was hungry . I ordered gen tso chicken combination - it was very good compared to other Chinese food in the area. I really enjoyed it. I also ordered steamed chicken dumplings which were delicious also. Thank to the previous reviewers that allowed me to try this place again- I've bought food here before by driving into town. I was out in the countryside of Westchester one evening for an annual French Literature Conference I attend every year. The presenters this time around were just marvelous. There was a spectacular theory dissecting the influence of cats on Rousseau's work and an interesting burlesque reenactment of the French Revolution performed by a local senior home. On my drive home I stopped in one of the hamlets of the Hudson River, Dobbs Ferry. This is a bustling little village with vibrancy and local eateries for all types of people. I surveyed the town's options and stumbled on Golden Dragon, a Chinese-food restaurant. The décor of Golden Dragon was more parchment than gold, as the there really seemed to be minimal effort put into the interior decoration. This is a mom and pop shop and I shall not seek to judge during these treacherous financial times for the middle-class. For my dinner, I chose the General Tso's dinner combination and waited about ten minutes for the chef to make my dish. During my wait, the owner's son joined me at my table in the back. He had a huge sized electronic tablet and seemed disinterested in conversing with the ol' Reverend. After five minutes of sitting in silence, a woman's voice beckoned from the rear of the kitchen screaming "Chow-Chow up!" The lights suddenly began to dim and an older gentleman began to play the Erhu, an ancient two-stringed fiddle, in the back of the room. Suddenly, my dear Chow Chow was doing an acrobatic performance just for my entertainment. He was going from graceful handstands into wonderful cartwheels and flips in the air. I was treated to a five-minute performance from this young man that was full of flight and pure emotion. The timing of the performance was to perfection as my food was delivered very soon after. The chicken tasted succulent and the rest of meal was a delight. Their sesame chicken is my boyfriend's favorite and I love their chicken with cashew nuts and their lemon chicken as well. They are always very nice and the wait time is not long. I go to college 15 minutes away and I always order from here as many of us do, and it has always been good food and good service. The dining area is not the cleanest, but it is not much different from most places. P.S. the fish that has previously been mentioned is no longer there and they said they gave it to the Bronx Zoo! :) read more

This is the first time I've ever looked up at the menu and couldn't understand what I was reading... and it was completely in english. You look up at their menu board and there aren't any prices and the entree names are really incoherent. Since I couldn't understand anything, I simply just asked the girl at the counter what was popular, so I ended up with General Tso's chicken. Other than the menu issue, this place is pretty bare bones and bland on the inside, but I don't knock it for that. Ordered it for takeout and I was disappointed there weren't any utensils in the bag when I got home. Overall though, the price was reasonable, the food was OK/fairly tasty, and the portions were fairly decent so I have no real complaint. The bottom line: I'd come back if I'm in the mood for cheap Chinese food (which we all do at some time), but I wouldn't take my visitors here. read more

I order here often and usually dont have an issue, always order my General Tsos with white meat, just cant eat any other other. Tonight the 50 dollar order of food was horrible. So chewy I could not eat Called to confirm that it was white meat and was told it was. Hung up and checked it again and its definitely not. I've had Chinese all over the country :D It's a beautifully consistent thing, even in Puerto Rico. This is the worst , flavorless Chinese food I've ever had, double the price if your health conscious and request a dry dish with your sauce on the side, and very rude service if you have any issue with their pricing or food. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is the delivery was very slow. It took over an hour for a not complicated, kind of small order. The food was worth the wait though! The portion sizes are slightly smaller than other places in the area, for roughly the same price. The quality is so much better. The fried dumplings have a thinner, wonton wrapper, not the super thick dough of most places. The dipping sauce was really tasty too, not just a lot of soy sauce with scallions. General Tso's with white meat chicken was really good. I asked for it not too spicy, it was perfect! Tender meat, tasty sauce, not overly sweet. The fried rice was fresh, good amount of roast pork. We ordered regular spare ribs and boneless. Both were awesome. They melt in your mouth. Best boneless ribs I've had in Westchester in years! This place is as close to what you get in the city as it can be in Westchester. Just be prepared to pay a little more for a smaller volume, and wait a little longer, which is all absolutely worth it! read more

Prices are in check with other no frill Chinese food establishments of its caliber but because it's brand new it's cleaner looking and feeling. Came in to have lunch with my friends the other day. I had never had food here before because i just started to go frequently to the other chinese place in town but they were closed on Monday. I decided to try the sesame chicken and my friend had the chicken and broccoli (both with pork fried rice) since those are classics that everyones had before. The taste of it was mediocre at first but then as time went the food slowly got hard and dry and overall just heavy and gross. My friends chicken and broccoli had a bitter and sour taste to it and it was just so odd. Overall i dont think id recomend this to any other people. I think ill just stick to my usual. read more
